Wait for the Series X

My Xbox One X recently died (lightning strike). While the Series S is much faster on start up, game loading, and in-game menus, that is basically the only good thing I can say. The storage is way too small with the size of current games. The operating system takes up a huge amount of space, so I think there is only about 360 Gb available. I have a few apps, 3 games and the latest Halo MCC flight/beta loaded and I have less than 50 Gb left (90% full). It also doesn't output in 4K video. I have a 24" 4K monitor. I was not expecting such a video quality difference on a small screen. I'm assuming a large TV would be even worse. 4K output from my old One X was considerably better. If you are replacing a standard Xbox One, don't care about 4K video, and you have Game Pass (so don't need a lot of game storage space), this might work for you. Otherwise, wait and get a Series X.

Nonetheless, this Xbox had definitely surprised me, the speed of the ssd is amazing, quick resume works incredibly with many games and with the addition of Ea games to gamepass, the value of gamepass has gotten better. If you are someone who wants an entry console to video gaming, I would recommend this console with Ultimate gamepass. Worth every penny

Best console for price value!

I usually prefer the concept of disc for consoles but considering disc drives always have issues over time this console makes the most sense. Has the benefits of the series x but won’t have future issues.

Year later and still nothing is wrong and have not had any problems. Still works amazingly well and I stream from Xbox almost every weekend. Fits perfectly well with my aesthetics.
