Great Budget Console

I was worried that games would run poorly or be held back due to the lower specs of the Series S. My worries were put to rest when every game ran extremely smooth. Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, and Flight Simulator all ran great.

I haven’t found any games that blow my mind with next-gen optimization, but I’m loving the all digital system. It’s so small, I was actually shocked. Not much taller or wider than my Switch when it’s docked. Game pass is so worth it to me. I’m excited for future games to come out that are optimized for the system.

It is the perfect companion console if you have a chunky P.C. The M.2 drives and quick resume play is amazing Backwords compatibility and Indie games are the highlights for this console, if you are looking for true next generation gaming then go for the Series X or a RTX3080 equipped computer.

While it may not have the power of it's bigger brother or the PS5, this guy punches far above its weight class. Quick loading times and solid picture quality for most games. The small size form factor is also a bonus, if you take business trips, this will fit in your backpack.

It's amazing what MS did here by putting out a very capable piece of hardware for a price we haven't seen in the past couple generations. I bought this for my kids and a sub to gamepass. So far no complaints and it's only going to get better as MS puts out more games.

The practical difference between this (model S) and the model X is 4K resolution. If you 1. don’t have a 4K capable monitor/tv &/or 2. prefer playing games with performance over visuals (ex. competitive titles) then this is fine. Don’t use disks, they’re a dying hardware.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as upgrade to the xbox one x, and let me tell you it was not a mistake. i see a lot of people saying to stay with the one x, over this, but the load times and optimization make it wayyyy worth it. my advice is to sell the one x, if you have it, and upgrade to this.
