My New Favorite Console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value in an aesthetically pleasing little box. Only thing is if you're like me, and like to switch from game to game, you might need to buy one of the seagate expansion cards. Got myself another 512GB one, and it was fast and easy to install. Definitely my favorite console this generation.

A moderate upgrade, and a mini space heater!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is well worth the price for the upgraded processing and graphics. I appreciate the “digital only” aspect, as my primary gaming is done on PC. As a box to play exclusives and sports games, it’s a moderate upgrade over the xbox one S, with sognificantly better graphics. The only reason not to give it 5 stars is because it’s a mini space heater, and it occaisionally makes some odd hardware sounds typical of the first iteration of next-gen hardware.

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stepped up from the original Xbox one and the Xbox series S has not disappointed me. I realize the X comes with some more advancements but the S is a powerhouse and I have been very pleased with its power. It is priced well I believe. I do not have the expansion card which is crazy priced but do have a standard 2 TB external hard drive.

Love the Series S and X
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Series X for myself and an S for my daughter. I'm really pleased with the S overall, even comparing it to my Series X. All in all, it's not a replacement for an X, but it's just a nice console for a child or anyone that just doesn't demand the absolute top of the line hardware. Series S optimized games have all been a satisfying experience, but do vary depending on what the developers targeted for. It's very small and discreet and looks nice sitting in the living room, where as a Series X and a PS5 are both well... Very large and hard not to make themselves seen and that is a problem for some people. The storage is definitely on the smaller end, and can fill up quicker depending what you want installed. My daughter mostly just plays Minecraft and Roblox, and neither of those demand much space, so it's been a non issue for us. I'm glad Microsoft made this device because it's just perfect for my child, whereas a Series X would just be more than she needed. I really recommend it to any casual gamers or younger players, and even some enthusiasts like myself if they aren't bother by the compromises. It's a great system.

Great iddy biddy console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console for the price. Its tiny and easily transportable as well. This will run games just as good as my series X does. Since i have it hooked to an older tv I'm not able to use the upgraded visuals the X provides anyways. Its good for the price, but if you're just buying it as a placeholder until you get the X, you might not be happy with it.

Very Satisfied
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Series S is really solid. After some research the main difference between this and the X is resolution and little bit more horsepower. In my experience, being a PC gamer also, if you get 60 FPS, you're good. Your eyes cannot see FPS higher than 60. Once it's 60 FPS or more, it looks smooth. Resolution wise, I have a Standard HD TV. I have no desire for 4K resolution at this point in my life. This game plays everything at 60FPS, it's very smooth, it's crispy, the colors look good, the games run better. This is a great improvement from the Xbox One S. It was also very easy to set up, very similar to that of apple, just login and your stuff is ready to go. Storage is a bummer. It comes with 370GB available out of the 512...I wish they would just say this. That's a lot of storage I don't have due to system stuff. But you can add a memory card....yay.... I'm glad I caved and got this, as long as PS games get released on PC, I don't need a PS5. Xbox knows what they're doing.

Great Next Gen System for GamePass!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Series S because I wanted the next gen hardware for the upcoming Halo Infinite to play with my friends at the best framerates. Since I already own a PS5 which was hard enough to get and the Series X being near to impossible to get for the holidays, this system was my choice. Overall I'm very impressed with the Xbox Series S. If you use GamePass, which is a great deal overall imo, this system is all you need! It will give you the next gen hardware strength for $200 less than getting the Series X. While it has a slight less bit of strength than the Series X, it will work perfectly well with next gen games. Halo Infinite runs amazingly on there at a locked 60fps which the Xbox One consoles aren't fully capable of doing. The only downside to this is that in the longrun for collectors like myself this will not last because it doesn't play physical games. However, while you wait for the next gen consoles to become more readily available this is a great choice to go with as the Series S is relatively easy to find. I'm in love with this console along with the updated Xbox controller.

Excellent console for those on a budget!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The big sacrifice this console makes is in its 500GB storage (around 325GB available for use) and it not having a disk drive. However, for someone like me who doesn't mind uninstalling games when I'm done with them and owns no physical disks, this is a great small console that can fit in a backpack and comes at a great price!

Can’t pass this up
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those who desire to stick with Microsoft products, this is a steal. A next generation console at this price was impossible to ignore. It’s very compact for a console. Can pump out 1440p at 60fps but probably won’t run 1440p at 120fps. Perfect for those who don’t need 1TB of space or can support 4K.

Great little unit, lacking in storage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really fantastic little unit! For its size, it's powerful and fast. It's gonna run all of the indie games out there just fine and even stuff like Halo Infinite quite well. The storage space is extremely limited. You can always add more space but it might be money better spent on the Series X instead.

Quiet little convenient system
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So little and so quiet. Bought the Series S for my daughter who just loves the Destiny franchise and it’s been everything as advertised. Super fast loading times and games look better than I thought they would considering the power of the series S is comparable to the PlayStation 4 Pro. Great little system. Just wish it had more hard drive space.

Great as a game pass only device
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have owned the Xbox Series S and X for about a week now, and each has its upsides and downsides. The S is only $300, making it a great value for anyone looking for a new Xbox console. I have purchased the game pass, and I feel like it is a must-have for the S. It has so many great games and such a vast library. It is a shame that it does not include Call of Duty games, but the fact that it has every Battlefield and Halo game included makes up for it. I have two main complaints about it. The first is the storage size; for an all-digital console, it is important to have a large hard drive, but it is not. After installing Halo MCC and Call of Duty Black Ops 3, half the hard drive was already filled. My second complaint is the lack of a disc drive. I find myself going to the Xbox Series X more and more because of the disc drive. It is an advantage because you can buy used disc to save money. This might save money in the long run and can actually be cheaper than the S because of the savings. You are also able to sell used discs, which you cannot do with digital games. Overall, if you are looking for a game pass device and only want to buy a few games here and there, this is the device for you.

Digital Delight
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Microsoft Xbox Series S 512GB All-Digital Holiday Console brings the joy of disc-free gaming in a compact and powerful package. With a 512GB storage capacity, it offers ample space for digital downloads, while the sleek design complements any entertainment setup. The performance is commendable, delivering a smooth gaming experience at a more affordable price point compared to its counterparts. However, users with a preference for physical game copies may find the lack of a disc drive limiting. In the realm of digital gaming, the Xbox Series S stands out as a compelling and budget-friendly choice for holiday entertainment.

The Only Budget Next-Gen Console
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So happy Xbox released a budget option for next-gen, but the storage is such a big issue, probably more than you'd expect. You can't play Series X/S games from an external, which means if you play COD, you have to use half of your internal storage to house a 200 gb game. Definitely a flaw I hope they work out in the near future. As a casual gamer, I have like 4 games on the internal and numerous legacy games on my external. Overall runs great and supports some next-gen graphics depending on the game. Never had an issue with Xbox and it's why I keep going back. The controllers aren't as much of an upgrade as the Dual Sense PS5 controllers that are half the price of Xbox's elite controllers, but oh well.

Great value for a current gen console
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Series S to replace my old 2013 vintage launch Xbox One, and I’ve been really happy with the upgrade. It plays everything I’ve tried from Game Pass really smoothly, including games like Deathloop and Forza Horizon 5 (albeit at a lower resolution than the Series X). The fast SSD with quick resume really makes a big difference in how much more fun games like Forza Horizon are because you don’t have to wait forever for a race to load like on the Xbox One. The lack of a Blu-Ray drive really hasn’t been an issue except when it came to my old Lego Dimensions game which doesn’t have an option to download the core game from the Xbox Store for some reason, but that’s more on the developer. The hard dive is pretty tight for modern games, but I’ve gotten around that a bit by using an old external Samsung T7 SSD for offloading games I’m not playing to free up space. The games transfer to the other external SSD pretty quickly, but it could have been better had they included a USB-C port so the external drive could run at its full speed instead of half what it can do (the new T9 externals will be limited to a quarter of their rated speed).

Xbox series s
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish they could keep more in stock and the 120 FPS 1440 is either one or the other you can’t have both options even with a higher resolution monitor which is a bummer. The console plays smooth and has quick load times and for the price range out performs the series x in my opinion and is a great option for the budget buyer.

Get it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little skeptical when purchasing this item. I really wanted a ps5 but it seems like I'll never get one so I settled for this console. No regrets. Still 120 fps at 1440p load times are mad fast and it has such a compact design. Only downside is storage and that it's digital.... but it's no deal breaker for me so
