It is small and perfect for my college dorm. It doesn’t have much space so if you like playing a lot of games at the same time you should invest in a storage pack.

This thing is very underrated. Its fast and small, and is perfect if you want to travel with just a couple of "essential" games......or stash it in a room/place that wouldn't normally have space for a console setup. Just cant do 8K....oh well.

If you really don’t care about 4K resolution then buy this console. If you aren’t a console fanatic then buy this console. If you don’t care about physical discs or don’t see it as a con then buy this console. If you don’t mind the 330gb of usable storage then buy this console. For this price I think it’s capable of delivering next gen performance at an affordable price. It’s small clean and compact sort of. A neat console for its price point.

      Hey there,

Thank you for recommending Xbox Series S, especially to players ready to go all-digital in their gaming. If you're running low on storage, you have a couple of options. The best solution is to invest in the Seagate SSD 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series X/S, which will add 1TB of SSD storage to your console. For more information, go here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/seagate-storage-expansion-card-for-xbox-series-xs-1tb-solid-state-drive-nvme-expansion-ssd-for-xbox-series-xs/6425015.p?skuId=6425015

Another solution is to add a standard external hard drive, which can be used to store and play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that have not been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S.

We hope you have a lot of fun with your Xbox.

      Happy gaming,
      Chuck

Have had it for a little over a year I think and it still runs as smooth as the day I got it. I travel a lot so the small size of it makes it easy.

I went back and forth for several months deciding if I wanted the series x or series s. At the end of the day, I realized that for me personally, the Series S made the most sense. Sure the X has a few more features graphically but I have a really good PC for that. This is perfect for how I play games and the type of games I play personally. It's reasonably sized, has good performance, and just fits me. I would recommend getting the memory expansion card if you can find a deal on it. These days 4-5 AAA titles will fill the available memory. It's not a requirement to get that expansion card however as it will keep your progress files intact even when you uninstall a game to make space for other titles and any title you buy can be added back later or on another series x/s console elsewhere. Glad to Add this one to my collection and given the opportunity i'd buy it again!

I am very happy with my purchase. Just a few minor complaints. I love the size, and price point. It gets you into the next gen at a realistic price. I think the games run smooth. Sure they are not on same level with Series X or PS5 but they will do. My one complaint is I do not like the Xbox UI and the options for audio / mics. Just seems very dumbed down + hard to navigate.

Phenomenal gaming system! Very easy to set up and small enough to fit in any gamers space. No long load times and quick connectivity to the internet. You can also add a expandable device for larger storage capacity.

The Series S is good, but I wish I had bought another Series X instead. The X is worth the increased cost. But it's good they made this, as the previous generation One X would be 3-stars compared to it, and the previous generation One S would only be 2-stars compared to it. The solid state storage load times make all the difference, but 512GB isn't great.

Worth upgrading from the “one”. I also transitioned to a gaming monitor and it’s been incredible. Graphics/gameplay/ everything about it is worth it. Pretty sleek too, and much smaller so it looks good displayed.

The best console for its price range. Can handle every game almost has good as the series x or play station 5 while also handling 120 fps. Great option if you want to be a competitive gamer or even if you play from time to time. Its the best option for both having a great time and also not spending that much money.

Storage is a big problem you have to buy storage card if you want to play more then 3 games only able to use a little over 300 GB the controller that came with it new out of the box the a button sticks down which is a huge deal for every game or watching Netflix not gonna be able to use it at all my old controllers will work better then it the console itself works well just wish more games could be played on external hard drive

The series s paired with gamepass is an amazing value and one of the easiest ways to get into next gen gaming. While it doesn't pack the punch of its big brother graphics wise, it is able to handle 1080p and 1440p without a problem so its perfect for pairing with a 1440p monitor or a 1080p tv. The quality of life improvements like quick resume and the speedy ssd make a bigger difference than you might expect, youll never want to play on an older gen console again. I ended up getting a series x when i bought my 4k tv but I kept the series s to pair with an older 1080p plasma tv so I could play games with my son and also use it as a media player/streaming device.

This is my fourth XBox in my lifetime (OG, One, One S, Series S). This one works great. It is quite a bit smaller than even the One S that it replaced. I have it standing on the edge to conserve desk space (be sure you place it away from the edge so that it won’t fall to the floor if you happen to tip it over). I have not had any problems with heat. Games run properly and pairing devices (Elite 2 Controller and Xbox Wireless Headset) work great. Only complaint is that you can’t attach an external USB SSD and play games from the external storage. All games must run from the built-in storage or the optional Seagate Storage Expansion that plugs into a slot on the back. :(

Just picked it up today. The console is very small but powerful. Super quiet. This new system downloads games super fast and loads way faster then the other. And games look so much better. Hope this helps people. Glad I upgraded to this system.

Perfect little xbox with some solid speed due to the SSD. I have recommended this to all my friends that dont wanna break the bank. Only problem is smaller storage, but the way i see it is "You cant play more than one game at a time".

All around great system! As long as you aren't looking to game in 4K, this system is amazing! It starts up and runs very fast, and games load quickly! My only gripe is that it is easy to fill up the 500 GB drive, but it can be easily managed with external drives.

Paired with Xbox game pass, this thing is a great little machine. It's a serviceable machine for the next gen gaming and I'd have no problem recommending this to anyone looking to get into the next-gen console gaming on a budget. The one problem is the internal storage size. You can get the officially licensed expandable storage by Microsoft, or you can just get external storage and store more games on that. You'll have to move the games from the external to internal, but that's faster than having to redownload the games each time. However, if you like the idea of physical discs and true next-gen, I'd save up. This machine does well at what it is designed to do.
