Really great console. Way faster than a last gen console. Better graphics, speed, and capabilities. Took me a few months to find one but finally did on the best buy website. Was worth the hunt. I would definitely suggest not skipping this console.

A great compact system that runs games beautifully at a competitive price. Only downside is the low storage space since modern games take up a lot of room.

Great Console, very good purchase and would totally recommend to friends. Works great after a month of use, and was easy to pick up. Terrible storage though, might want to get a hard drive such as a segate to make your storage better :)

The best system I’ve ever owned. I had a few different ones over the years. None of them compare to this the graphics just blow you away the little terms of Eric fast. Just wish I had more memory. I played my wife enjoys it my kids love it it’s all around family entertainment system.

Compact well built unit....SSD memory a little limited at 512GB but you can expand memory further with memory expansion accessories. Happy with purchase overall, just remember there is no DVD loading slot on series S model

This is an amazing price to be able to have access to the latest hardware in the console world and if you don’t use disks anymore than this is the perfect Xbox! I love how it can actually still play supported games at 120fps without sweating as well. Very small form factor so you can place it just about anywhere. I’d say the biggest downside is it having only 512gb of storage out of the box but it’s an ssd so it’s incredibly fast. There is a 1tb model now for $50 more which is another great deal!

I really like the size of this console and how fast everything loads. If not for the SSD that is WAY too small and the inability to use true 4k @ 120hz I would give it 5 stars. Since you cannot (currently) use an external SSD that isn't the $220 proprietary accessory Microsoft has to install new games on, the 512 SSD is extremely limiting. I was able to install 4 AAA games and had 3% left in space. In the short time I've had the console, its already become a problem for me. I recommend the series x for the extra space, but even 1TB seems too small for the amount of games that are 100gb or more.

      Hi there,

We're sorry that Xbox Series S hasn't met expectations. Another alternative for adding more storage is to get a standard external hard drive. While games optimized for Xbox Series X/S may not be played from an external hard drive, older games that are not enhanced can be. For more information on which games are optimized for Xbox Series X/S, please go here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/optimized

      Hope that helps,
      Chuck

I used to gave a Series X before I upgraded to a PC for my personal gaming. As my kids have grown my wife and I decided to get the Series S to change up “TV time”. I’m shcked at the graphic quality, load times, and network speeds for being almost 1/2 the cost of the Series X. Perfect console for those gaming on the sofa in the living room and/or for kids! High recommend. 5 Stars from me.

It’s amazing for its price point. It has good graphics and FPS. I love the quick resume feature and it loads games up fast. It’s a travel size console and it’s a great console to get if you’re on a budget, but want to get into the next-gen experience.

This was a gift for my son. He has been going through it the last couple of years. I am so proud of him getting his BA Degree and helping support his girlfriend get her Master Degree. He had been playing in the original Xbox that I bought him in college and to help take some of the daily stress off of him I surprised him with this new Xbox system. He loves it. He said his experience of picking it up and how quickly the games load has given baby boy a chance to relax and enjoy his new Xbox.

No 4K TV? The Series S is Perfect For You

If you don't have a 4K TV, then buying this thing is a no-brainer. No need to buy a Series X or PS5 until your TV set up is upgraded. You're essentially getting games at 1080p, however they run incredibly smooth at 60fps. The system targets 1440p but I wouldn't expect that until further down the line. Load times are super fast and rival some gaming PCs. Xbox has an optional membership for its games (think Netflix for games). When a first-party game (Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Elder Scrolls, DOOM, Fallout, Ori, etc.) is released, it immediately becomes available for download. I'd highly recommend joining Game Pass if you purchase the disc-less Series S.

Bought this for my son. He loves it for his gaming monitor. Didn’t need all the 4K extras but he says it’s super fast and small enough to put on his desk without taking up a whole lot of room. Had to buy the extra memory for it tho.
