Just what I expected. As advertised - compact, fast, and much improved. A bit disappointed that older disk based games instantly become gargbage.

This console may not be the most powerful, have the biggest storage, or run everything at 4k 120fps. What this console is, a surprisingly powerful entry level next generation console. I bought this to hold me over until I could find a series x, but what happened is I enjoyed it so much that while I still will get a series x I'm not in a hurry anymore. The series s is exactly what you think it is. The smaller weaker little brother to the series x. What you don't expect is a console that performs at this level, this smooth, and a few minutes in you forget it is a series s. I spent a few hours last night playing gears 5 at 120fps on series s. Some games if you choose visual mode even run at 4k. Pleasantly surprised and have no regrets.

I bought the new X-box just to get the Hogwarts game in advance. It’s nice I mean I feel like my old X-box (Taco Bell special edition) offers the same things don’t feel any difference. Wish it had more memory as it can only handle 3-4 games at a time with the memory it brings.

I'm not the gaming type, however, my husband and 16 year daughter are and they love the XBox. It's great to see them bonding over games. I have played Just Dance on the XBox and that is so fun. We also purchased the game pass as well which works seamlessly with the console. My 7 year old nephew also loves coming over to play mindcraft. I guess, his auntie and uncle have street cred with his friends because we own the XBox!

If you are expecting 4K next gen gaming, you’ll need an X. This is my living room console, but my main gaming device is my PC. That said, it’s an incredible value and works perfectly as a media player and casual console.

Upgraded from day one Xbox one. Much better of a console it’s night and day. Fast loads, solid frame rates, up to 120 on some games

Great product, xbox series S I wasn’t willing to spend 500$ on the Series X but it performs just as good for my 1080p games. Great console way better than my Xbox One S and a great value if you can find it at 300$

Love the new Series S. The price really isn't too terrible. Do wish it had a little more storage space because of how expensive external hard drives are for these, but overall worth it.

If you're not playing on a 4K TV and plan on using Game Pass anyway, there's no reason not to invest in a Series S as it serves wonderfully as a second household console if you plan on getting an X later.

Glad I purchased this very small and love the no disc feature as it reduces clutter. The only downfall is the storage space but as long as your good with deleting and adding then it’s worth it.

Great graphics. completely underrated. The system is much better than I thought. It is a very subtle difference in resolution between the series s and series x and even the ps5.

An excellent console, fast and quality gaming. Only problem is the storage. Why Microsoft thought the discless version should have the least memory is beyond me. Another cash grab for when they release the expanded storage version later this year. (Maybe wait for that? Or just buy the Series X if you can afford that!) The idea of spending an extra 300 bucks on a sea gate internal storage drive is ridiculous in comparison to buying one Series X or even another series S for the same price. The console is fantastic, don’t get me wrong. If you’re only looking to play a few games (less than 400 gb if you’re including the space the base software requires) then it’s a great price compared to the other options. But if you’re playing X/S optimized games and plan on building a collection, maybe wait for something better.

Remember those old Xbox commercials from shortly after the original console launched in 2001? Well, the Xbox Series S reaffirms that there really is no power greater than X. Sure, you're not getting an optical drive here, but that doesn't mean that this system isn't anything short of amazing. I've played games on here that I also have on PC and I kid you not, I can't tell the difference between the two versions. If PC gaming isn't your bag or if space is at a premium (or both), then definitely look into getting this beautiful system!

Bought this as a gift for my girlfriends dad and he really likes it. It’s powerful enough to play optimized next gen games and able to do it free of discs which is one less thing he has to worry about. Out of the box, setup is very simple even for brand new accounts. Would recommend this if you don’t have a big collection of physical games and are okay with the less powerful hardware compared to the Xbox Series X as well as storage space. Other than that, makes a great gift for people who new to the Xbox ecosystem, especially with GamePass!
