I was originally using a cheap hdmi cord, switched to a 2.1 hmdi cable and the difference is definitely noticeable. Storage is small, I did order the expansion card recently (on sale) which helped a ton, I was only able to have two games installed at a time which was extremely annoying. If you are fine with gaming at 1440p, then go for this.

The SSD delivers fast load times and the hardware itself provides improved frame rate over previous generation. The only gripe is you can't use the full 512 GB of memory and does not upscale image to 4K.

Makes it a lot easier to find a home by the TV. The boot up time is very quick with the SSD. It doesn't use the old discs, so it keeps the area clean of plastic disc cases. If you want to play your old disc games you might want to keep an old unit around. I like the direction Microsoft has gone with these. If I was a big time gamer I would get the X.

Pretty solid budget console

Runs smoothly and the games are legit. Only downside is the small storage space

It just really needs a disc drive. Microsoft should make a Series S with disc drive option. Because I can't play any of the games I have on disc. It is a good system but if it had a disc drive I would give it 5 stars.

Although you sacrifice memory the Xbox still performs just as good as a series X. Personally I’d wait till series X become more available. I just got the S for the living room.

Get it with AMD Freesync technology and use variable refresh rate. The x box has AMD freesync tech FYI. 1080p at 120fps. It’s the closest to a pc at a fraction of the cost. Fast load time and I am able to download warzone, multi player in Cold War and modern warfare. Memory is at 68%. No need got memory expansion if I don’t download the campaign etc. I pair it with the series x and go ham! Best bang for your buck!! Get it! You won’t be let down.

One of the biggest bonuses to this decision is mobility. The series S is small enough that it fits perfectly into a backpack. Mix that with any half decent portable monitor and you have a console that can be set up at home on a big screen or brought to the office for break room play, of course that depends wholly on the job you have and I can’t recommend shirking work duties for elden ring.
