We were way overdue to upgrade from a Xbox 360, so we went with series S (since we don’t have 4k TV’s to take advantage of the X) I was concerned about going disc-less but we got the gamepass and have heard no complaints. You will probably need an ssd expansion drive tho, 500gb goes quick. Easy setup in minutes!

My son loves this thing. It was incredibly difficult to buy as a Christmas present and Best buy was the only company that really addressed the bots hoarding and reselling quantities. I really appreciate that and came back for other purchases that I would have made elsewhere. The series S itself is an amazing piece of technology. Just make sure you are OK with digital games only (which is the current trend anyway).

Once I got a Series X I kicked my old main the One X upstairs to my bedroom. Didn't take long to notice how cpu and transfer rate limited it is when compared to the new generation. So I picked up a Series S to "replicate" the Series X experience in my bedroom. Series S absolutely does the trick, gaming at my entertainment system or my bedroom feels the same which was what the Series S was designed to do, fantastic little device.

Easy setup for a teenager boy. Recommend to use for kids

It took a couple hours to set up because of server problems and the controller joystick messed up (drifting). Overall it's good for the price but I do miss my playstation

Best bang for the buck this is an amazing next gen budget console. This system with game pass is a no brainer. Small is downplaying this console. It’s freakin tiny & dead quiet. This is the perfect smart box for 300$. Play games. Stream movies. Take it anywhere with you. The speed alone loading & playing games is worth the price of admission. If you have a PlayStation & or switch, this is a great addition to the family.

Easy to set up and access games from previous system using external harddrive

This new Series S exceeded my expectations about its performance, etc. I'm coming from a One S and it's night and day difference. I love that it looks good, it loads games almost instantaneously with "Quick Resume" and the experience from better graphics, load times and smoothness is worth more than the $299 price. I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I do feel to constraint with its measly storage but I get around that.

After having this for a few months, this is probably the best Xbox console to have. The system is fast, everything is snappy. The games load fast, BUT if you care for performance, wait for the series X. I used this console as my secondary choice. I do not plan on playing the newest games on here. Halo infinite beta looked okay, no different from halo 5. NBA 2K22 look good and played well.

For the cheaper system it is pretty good it handles all the games ive had on Xbox at 60 fps and then some and newer titles are rendered perfectly to meet that at 1080p. Ashwell as the quick start feature is also delightful one major complaint is that the ps5 digital edition Price is only 100 more than this and has the same power as the ps5 with disk drive, i feel Microsoft could've had the same power like the competitor and just not had disk drive. overall good system but kind of a greedy move with the power lack compared to series x. the graphics in the series s is basically a gtx 1060-1070 xbox series x rtx 2080-2080ti power wise and memory ram wise

Everyone says that this is not a good buy but I disagree. I love my series S. With series X so hard to come but I could myself getting this and boy was I surprised by how well this thing is. Not as powerful as the X but it packs a punch. Great for anyone who has game pass and likes to buy digital games the one knock on it is the storage I think Xbox could have done a better job in that department.

I really like that this console takes up less room on my desk than the Xbox One S I had before. Games load much faster than the Xbox One S I had. I do recommend purchasing the Seagate expansion card since the 512 GB of storage that comes with this console is a little light. The expansion card is very simple to install sits inside the console so there are no power or interface cables involved.

If you’re ready for next gen gaming but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a new gaming system then this is definitely for you! I had bought this a while back and it’s definitely a blast and for the price I would totally recommend! Of course your only downfall with the S is that it’s a digital system so no disc and it only holds 500gbs but you can always upgrade the storage.

The Series S is unbeatable for the money. Feature wise it does it all with a small graphics hit. I own both systems and I have to be honest I like it almost as much as my Series X. If this was my only console I would not be sad. Buy this get a $85 dollar Sandisk extreme 500gb SSD which is lightning fast with this combo (I have it). Buy 2 or 3 games to get to the $500 mark of the X. Think about it?!

Really happy with this purchase. It’s been a couple of months with this console already and so far it has lived up to my expectations!! Would definitely recommend as a gift.

Great system for its value, plus tag team it with the Xbox game pass it’s great over a 1000 games past and present at my fingertips!!

Great console however if you have disks buy the x this is online only

Loving it so far! I wanted a series X fo course but decided I don't game enough to justify the extra $200 and the fact that you can't find a series X and I had $85 in Best Buy rewards pushed me towards the Series S. I bought an inexpensive Blu-ray player to go with it and I'm good to go! I converted 3 years of Xbox live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate for free and my gaming experience is incredible...
