Have had both a Series S and X. The S is a much better Value. Sure the X has 4k and a blue ray player. But that's all it has going for it. I have not played a game that has pushed the X and 2 years later still have not found anything to justify me selling my S for the X. Also the S is so much easier to take with you places along with costing you less on your electric bill. Thing is also super quiet.

Small, compact, and great performance for someone looking who plays casually when theyre bored or coming home from working all day. I work 5-6 days a week and I usually come home and try to unwind and throw on a show or listen to some music or play a quick game with friends or family

I haven't had a console since the original Xbox One and I decided to get the Xbox just because I bought the backbone. I love the fact that I do not have to worry about scratched disk and I can play the old Xbox games I loved.

Bought for the wife who isn't as huge of a gamer as myself but likes to dabble! I have the x and other then reduced graphics (but still looks pretty dang gd) i don't see much diffrence. Fast, quiet, small in stature, has quick resume, room for more storage. Great second console and u can actually get your hands on this one. Wife is happy!

We bought this as a Christmas present for our daughter who is about to deploy overseas. Her brother and sister each have one and often play together. We figured this would be a great way for them to stay connected while she is gone. She has it all set up and ready to go!

It works for me but the storage is terrible, would definitely recommend getting an expansion card.

I love the convenience of digital gaming and being able to continue my progression whenever. I have this 1 installed in my house and another at my gfs house. Paired with game pass ultimate i can also play on pc

Ultimately I returned it because I was able to acquire a Series X. I was so impressed with the size and price of the Series S that I think anyone wanting to get into next gen gaming on a shoestring budget has the perfect option. Combined with game pass, the Series S is a no brainer

Bought this to hold me over until I can find a Series X. My Xbox One X recently died (lightning strike). While the Series S is much faster on start up, game loading, and in-game menus, that is basically the only good thing I can say. The storage is way too small with the size of current games. The operating system takes up a huge amount of space, so I think there is only about 360 Gb available. I have a few apps, 3 games and the latest Halo MCC flight/beta loaded and I have less than 50 Gb left (90% full). It also doesn't output in 4K video. I have a 24" 4K monitor. I was not expecting such a video quality difference on a small screen. I'm assuming a large TV would be even worse. 4K output from my old One X was considerably better. If you are replacing a standard Xbox One, don't care about 4K video, and you have Game Pass (so don't need a lot of game storage space), this might work for you. Otherwise, wait and get a Series X.

The s is a great alternative for the x. Especially for younger kids.

I like the new XBOX S series system. It does not cost as much as the series X while delivering the lightning-fast boot-up and load feature. While I am disappointed in the fact the XBOX is no longer integrated with your TV and audio system, this smaller, sleeker system holds its own when it comes to delivering solid gameplay and a reliable system.

The Xbox Series S is a very good budget console. If you don’t have a 4K TV and buy games digitally, then this is a good console to pick up for next generation gaming. Unfortunately, the console does not come with a disc drive, which means that any backwards compatible discs you may have will not work. Not only that, but that means you are trapped into the prices on the Xbox Store, as retail sales on games won’t work for you. Now, if none of that bothers you, then this is a good console for you.
