Love the digital version. Most of my collection is digital, so I didn't mind getting this one. Games look amazing on it. Cyberpunk plays great on it. Loads times are super fast. Not disappointed.

Love my Xbox S, fast, easy to transport, no waiting. Only downside is all games are digital so your disc games cannot be played on it

So far the BEST gaming system I've ever purchased!

Let me start off by saying this is the best $300 i ever spent, and the price to performance ratio is insane. This console is so important to have in these times of inflation, insanely high pc parts, and hard to get PS5/Series x consoles (although the series x is easier to get than the ps5 now). However i noticed some unrealistic expectations people have for this console. The series s was always marketed as a budget lower spec'd next-gen console that is a 1440p machine which is half-lie,and half-truth. It's only a 1440p machine if you play at quality mode 30fps but for people that want 60fps it is very much a 1080p machine. The downside, though, is that you’ve only got a woefully small 364GB of usable space to install games and apps on, and that can go quick. I was at 96% capacity with a total of eight games – five beefy blockbusters and three smaller indie games. That’s even with Microsoft’s Smart Delivery system that lets developers tailor their games specifically to the Series S. Gears 5, for instance, is only 55.1gb compared to 71.9gb on the Series X because the S doesn’t need the full 4K textures. My simple kind of fix for that is the BRILLIANT cloud gaming feature!! Although some games may require a faster internet speed speed.

Great purchase! Basically brand new in the box. Everything came with it except the hdmi chord. However, Best Buy did give me a $25 gift card to replace that mistake. I’ve had this Xbox since October, it is now June and it’s great with no problems. I did have stick drift on the controller that came with it a couple months after receiving. But stick drift is pretty common. Other than that 10/10 would recommend.

Its a great system, I love it. My inly complaint is my xbox one disk games dont transfer over only the digital games I bough do, so Ive about 40 ges I cant pmay anymore.. there should be an option to pay a small amout to transfer the physical disks to digital in my opinion.

So I bought this as a second system and not regretting it even though it is another 300 dollar chunk of change. I was lucky enough to get a PS5 shortly after release. I mainly went with the PS because I felt as a gaming system it is better because of the exclusives. There are a bunch of stuff that bug me about it though. Being and audio visual guy I don't like the PS pretty much always has HDR on and the sound is not passed through . Which I would much rather have my receiver handle the audio and HDR trigger when needed. Also the streaming apps on the PS very crappy and limited amount of apps. So I did a little homework on Xbox and how it is much better for streaming (also had a Xbox One so had some idea) . Thought I could just pick one of these up with out it taking a ton of time and effort and it's cheaper. This hits all marks for me so much I kind of wish I went with the Xbox Series X and never got a PS5 . Although at the end of the day the PS5 does have the games that you can't get on Xbox. For example Spider Man and a new Wolverine game is in development. I also have a kid that games more than me and wants those games. This is a great little all in one system for me though. Basically put the PS5 in a different room so I don't get kicked out of the man cave as often. I am a very casual gamer but as I said earlier Audio Visual is important to me. This is great for streaming. The quality is there HDR is only triggered when needed and you can tell it to pass through the sound so the receiver is handling the decoding. Basically I don't have to leave one input to do all I want. Go watch a show xbox. Watch a movie xbox. Play a game xbox. Plus the game pass is mostly all I need to play just a game here and there. My advice is if you don't care about the exclusives go with this or a series X. The biggest problem I would say with this is the storage space. You start off with less then 400 GB. That being said though you can use a USB 3.1 drive to expand the storage . Super simple and cheap. You will increase load times so if the super quick load times are important to you then you will need to spend a good amount on their official drive that matches the speed of the internal. I would highly recommend this if: You are looking for a more all in one system You don't care about gaming in 4k Don't care about exclusives And if you do care about gaming in 4k and not exclusives I would go with an X.

I was skeptical about getting one because I already had a PS5 but wanted this Series S for Gamepass and Emulation. Oh my what an aamzing device! I even bought the OG MW2 and been playing backwards compatibility games. You will not regret this little machine! I have also been playing a lot of PS2 games on this unit through developer mode. Must buy!!

What I like about this concole is that it is small so it can fit any when and its price for 299 is so good. I also like how it has really good graphics on every game and it this concole is the one who loades in everygame the fastest.

Im not gonna lie. This was my very first Xbox I have purchased in stores. Been a PlayStation user for years. At first setting up the console it felt very foreign to me but after a while and downloading a couple of games. This console is great!

We recently bought the Xbox Series S as a second console. Our other is a Series X. We got the S so we could play online co-op games together. We’d been playing games like Halo MCC on the Series X in split screen but wanted to get a second console to be able to branch out and play online co-op together instead of limiting ourselves to just the couch co-op games. I did some online research first for exactly what is needed to do this with only one copy of each game and one Game Pass membership. The setup is very simple and works really well. I decided to go with a Series S since getting my hands on another Series X is still hard to do. We have been very happy with the Series S. We’ve found we really like playing full screen in different rooms with headsets as opposed to split screen together in the living room. We sometimes trade off for who takes which spot but the gaming experience is the same regardless of which console I am playing on. The Series S is small and easy to hide in a wall bracket mounted behind the bedroom TV, so no additional clutter. The storage space on the S is a lot smaller than the X so I just keep 2-3 games at a time on the S and delete the old and download the next new one when needed. However, if you plan ahead, the small amount of internal storage is a non-issue.

As you can add storage to the Series S, it can size-wise compete with the X and PS5. Running-wise, it's pretty smooth. There may be a few hiccups here and there on AAA games, but overall? It's a great buy--except that the controllers sometimes get stick drift and/or their trigger springs wear down. But that's a problem with many current-gen controllers, so it doesn't knock down my overall feeling about the console any.

Excellent console for the price. Yeah you can’t use discs, but at $299.99 and 120fps at 1440p gaming you can’t ask for anything more. Great buy!

It’s great and affordable for a next gen entry level console. Game Pass also makes it worth it. If you’re looking for a next gen console and can’t find a Series X or PS5 this is definitely what you should get.

The Xbox Series S is a fantastic gaming console that offers a powerful and immersive gaming experience. The console is sleek and compact, making it easy to fit into any entertainment setup. The interface is user-friendly, and the controller is comfortable to hold, with responsive buttons and triggers that make gameplay a breeze. One of the standout features of the Xbox Series S is its performance. The console is capable of running games at up to 120 frames per second, with support for 1440p resolution. This means that games look and feel incredibly smooth, with no lag or stuttering. Additionally, the console supports ray tracing, which adds realistic lighting and shadows to games, making them look more lifelike than ever before. The Xbox Series S also offers access to a vast library of games, including Xbox Game Pass, which gives you access to over 100 high-quality games for a low monthly fee. Additionally, the console supports backward compatibility, which means you can play many of your favorite Xbox One games on the new console. Perfect little machine for streaming/1080P 60 FPS games. Perfect for people who primarily play PC or Playstation titles but still want to try out Xbox Exclusives in the future, albeit probably at a lower graphical fidelity than its Series X brother. The new Xbox One controllers have a very nice textured back now, seem to be better at resisting the inevitable gamer sweat from longer sessions of usage. UI is still the same from the Xbox One if you have used that prior to this; be it feels much snappier thanks to the fast SSD's these new systems use.

Great buy for the price, even if you have other gaming systems. If you are like many others and you have a PS4/5, gaming PC, and/or a Nintendo Switch, what is the point of another? Especially if your PC can play the same games. At least with PS5 or Switch, you have exclusives and a different experience. So if you have these systems already, it’s not likely to make sense and get this. You’ll need the $220 external Drive that is exclusive with Seagate to use for Xbox X|S games. And you’ll need Game Pass. Game pass is great for the cost. But most other triple A title games or open world games I play aren’t on Gamepass. It has its limits. Overall, if you have no other current gaming system, yes this is great. It plays great on a 1440p gaming monitor. The 120hz is so limited right now that doesn’t seem to matter, but it is still supported on this console.
