Thanks to Best Buy I was able to grab two of these little titans for my kids NOT to scalp real gamers. I also got myself the Series X from Best Buy of course and I must say this disc-free console is amazing. I should have gone with the Gamepass bundle so save $15 because that will get you the most out of this console. It comes packed with such care and quality materials that unboxing it alone was a far better experience than the Playstation 5 I finally got 4 months after launch but thanks again to bestbuy.com. The HDMI and controller are every bit of what you get with the Series X so there is nothing left desired except the storage but it is manageable and expandable. Unless you have an 8K TV and even then I believe this console came to play and makes no apologies. At this price point pick one up and have a blast while you wait to get that PS5 but certainly don't give in to the scalpers because NONE of the systems are worth more than retail and Best Buy is the place to get all of them.

I bought This for my boyfriend and I love It. I wanted To get him the series x but everywhere was sold out so I finally bought this bad boy! And when I say I am Overjoyed! I’ve bought every Xbox that came out and this is far this best one!!! This Xbox is not only small which is very convent when having a small gaming area to play in! Now I just Said this Xbox is small! But that don’t mean nothing! What they use to say don’t judge a book by it’s cover! It’s powerful and durable! This Xbox is extremely fast the graphics on it it’s remarkable and don’t get me started on the upgraded controller it comes with. Just look at the design it’s beautiful! Really a piece of art! I was So in love with it I bought Me another one and kept it in the box because I want To keep it for my generation and pass it down because everybody need to be able to experience this!!!!

small but mighty brilliance, display ratio that cannot be contended for the price. unequivelant graphical superiority if you are looking for 1080p sweet 60 refresh rate then look no further. Addtionally silky smooth grips for the controller it comes with, sating your need for comfortability. astonishing laser quick read and write speeds for the lazy couch potatoes too eager to be bothered with slow transfer data rates. a firm straight out of another reality captivating lush edgy appearance to keep the little ones side lined giving you enough time to game night and day 365 24/7. absolute remarkable fan and heat dissipation. trust worthy tech support and wait there is more! wifi a/c means low latency and sure strike wifi capabilities that will shock and awe the average consumer without the need for a gaming router. it may not be wifi 6 but she bites and bites hard on the competition. last but not least .... can be set up right or side ways for horizontal paper weight dominance!

After little over a year on the Xbox series s, its a pretty solid console. Handled most games I played on it with ease. Games such as Elden Ring and Modern Warfare 2 ran good at 60 fps(eyeballed it). Its small form factor lets me sit it vertically without any issues and out of the way. Also, fan noise was kind of noticeable but not that much of an issue. Of course the storage size is a bit small for modern games but if your not looking to play games with huge storage sizes then its serves well. I would like to call this an entry-level budget consoles for its generation.

    Decent console

For $300 it's a decent console. I initially had the impression this console plays games at 1440p at 60fps and while some do, most games I have played are in 1080p 30fps. My biggest gripe, ironically, is gamepass. While it is a great deal, Microsoft punishes those that goes with the basic gamepass subscription at $10/month compared to gamepass ultimate at $15. For example, this past weekend, far cry 6 was free to play on pc, playstation, and xbox(so long as you had xbox live gold or gamepass ultimate). Microsoft took the opportunity to punish basic gamepass subscribers. Luckily I have a ps4 and was able to download the far cry 6 free trial without any subscription. I also dropped my gamepass subscription because that whole fiasco left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, Microsoft makes it very difficult to downgrade from Ultimate to basic and makes it easy to upgrade from basic to ultimate. I have a feeling they are going to eventually do away with basic at some point. Other than THAT, console is decent. Great price. One more thing, you don't get 512GB of storage, you only get 364GB.

Xbox Seriea S - S for SMALL yet powerful

The Xbox Series S is an amazing console. It is compact, silent, incredibly fast, and has so many noteworthy features to offer. It boasts unbelievably fast load times, unnoticeable fan noise, a consistent and smooth FPS with no stutters, and excellent visual clarity. This unit is $200 cheaper than the Series X. The only drawback to the Series S that I can find is the storage capacity. Microsoft has been very misleading with the 512GB and 1TB claims for storage capacity on the Series S and X respectively. My Series S only comes with about 365GB of usable space, while apparently the Series X gets a beefier 800GB or so, but compared to 1TB that is still a big decrease. My solution to the low storage capacity on the Series S is to purchase a USB to SATA adapter along with an internal 2.5" SSD for a computer, I have gained an extra 500GB of room to play by doing this and it only cost about $60. Compared to the eye-watering price of $220 for a 1TB expansion card from Seagate, this external SSD setup holds far more value and flexibility at a drastically lower price. For the disappointingly low internal storage capacity, misleading storage capacity claims, and poor value storage upgrade options offered from Microsoft,

Best console you can get at this pricepoint. Considering the value and how much more pleasing it is aesthetically (compared to series x) I think its a perfect companion to ps5.

This item is indeed an Xbox Series S. Its a good value if do not play very many games at once (3-5 titles). If you want to take advantage of the GamePass subscription to the FULLEST extent, you may want to go ahead and get the Series X instead because it has more available storage out of the box. Either way, you’ll definitely need to purchase the additional storage or an external drive. Total cost of this console really ends up being 500 dollars if you want to play more than a few next gen games at once. Call of Duty, Fortnite, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, and Mass Effect have entirely eaten my internal storage. HOWEVER If you enjoy playing older games (pre 2018), indie games, you’re okay. Have at it. 10/10

Very happy with my new system, I was going to wait for the X model but my older system stop working, so I have to go with the S, but very happy I have a external memory from my previous console and all my games were there already, so was a plug and play, and I save some money

Purchased this after failing to find the X. Currently own the PS5 as well. Hooked it up to the same TV as the PS5 and was pleasantly surprised by the series S. Dirt 4 is the only game I currently own in digital format but it ran so much better than the One S. Pros: Fast load times. Next gen capability. $300 for a gaming console that rivals gaming PCs costing much more. Small size makes it easy to tote around. Quiet. Cons: Small storage for an all digital unit. With no disc drive you can’t play any of your physical collection. There is some debate on the longevity of its current hardware configuration. Very happy so far with this purchase and would buy it again. If you really want a disc drive to be able to play your physical collection and can swing the extra $200 get the X, if you can find one. I just use my old One s to play all my physical copies.

I have both xbox series x and xbox series s. They are both extremely quiet. I had a PS5 that I sold and was much noisier than these two consoles from Microsoft. With my 4K Sony OLED, Madden 21 plays in 4K with HDR on both series x and series s. In my opinion, this series s version at $299 is a great buy. If you don't need the extra storage and/or a disc drive, this is a fantastic bargain. I love it and the series x as well. Microsoft is now my console of choice. The controller is same on both series x and series s. The only difference is color. I might give PS controller the edge, if you're into sound coming from controller, but when it comes to consoles. there is no comparison--Microsoft is to me the clear winner. One other thing to note, when pairing controller on xbox, you don't have to connect any cables--thank goodness! And when updating controller, no need to connect cables--thank goodness!

The Xbox Series S is a compact, budget-friendly powerhouse offering fast load times, smooth gameplay, and access to Xbox Game Pass. While its 512GB storage can fill up quickly, it delivers impressive performance for its price, making it a solid choice for gamers seeking affordability without sacrificing quality.

This right here is a perfect console for someone not chasing latest and greatest graphics. I could buy 2 of these for the price of my PC's GPU, and that's not even talking about other components. My eyes aren't all that great, but I still like the way games look on my 55 inch 4K panel - not quite like my PS5 (favorite console this gen), but that thing's $200 more and barely in stock, unlike this. If you don't care about not being able to buy cheap disk games from previous gen, just go for it. MS store sales are pretty good, game pass is a great deal too, I never run out of stuff to play. My only complaint is the controller (I prefer DualSense for the button feel + you need rechargeable batteries for this one), but they improved the d-pad over Xbox One's pad anyway. Just go get it if it's in stock.
