My son loves it! It doesn’t have a disk drive so you don’t run into the issue with the red ring of death. Only issue is the storage, but that can be fixed with an external HD.

Excellent device for the price. For those competitive gamers out there - it hits the high refresh rate at 1080p. Most modern gaming desktops are gunna be $1100+ for something that the $299 series S can do. Kinda crazy if you ask me.

The Series S is really solid. After some research the main difference between this and the X is resolution and little bit more horsepower. In my experience, being a PC gamer also, if you get 60 FPS, you're good. Your eyes cannot see FPS higher than 60. Once it's 60 FPS or more, it looks smooth. Resolution wise, I have a Standard HD TV. I have no desire for 4K resolution at this point in my life. This game plays everything at 60FPS, it's very smooth, it's crispy, the colors look good, the games run better. This is a great improvement from the Xbox One S. It was also very easy to set up, very similar to that of apple, just login and your stuff is ready to go. Storage is a bummer. It comes with 370GB available out of the 512...I wish they would just say this. That's a lot of storage I don't have due to system stuff. But you can add a memory card....yay.... I'm glad I caved and got this, as long as PS games get released on PC, I don't need a PS5. Xbox knows what they're doing.

Its great if you dont mind never using discs, you must subscribe to Game Pass. Not as powerful as the Series X. Doesnt overheat like the X does.

Great Next Gen System for GamePass!

I bought the Series S because I wanted the next gen hardware for the upcoming Halo Infinite to play with my friends at the best framerates. Since I already own a PS5 which was hard enough to get and the Series X being near to impossible to get for the holidays, this system was my choice. Overall I'm very impressed with the Xbox Series S. If you use GamePass, which is a great deal overall imo, this system is all you need! It will give you the next gen hardware strength for $200 less than getting the Series X. While it has a slight less bit of strength than the Series X, it will work perfectly well with next gen games. Halo Infinite runs amazingly on there at a locked 60fps which the Xbox One consoles aren't fully capable of doing. The only downside to this is that in the longrun for collectors like myself this will not last because it doesn't play physical games. However, while you wait for the next gen consoles to become more readily available this is a great choice to go with as the Series S is relatively easy to find. I'm in love with this console along with the updated Xbox controller.

The Xbox Series S is a great pick if you’re after a budget-friendly next-gen console. It’s small, runs quietly, and delivers super smooth gameplay. No disc drive, but with Game Pass, you’ve got tons of games to play, so you won’t miss it. Load times are crazy fast, and it handles most games really well. If 4K isn’t a must for you, the Series S is totally worth it!

Awesome little gaming system for running Full Hd games. Love that there is the option to purchase the Xbox games pass which gives you full access to hundreds of games including Halo, and Forza. Runs great for any 60fps gamer.

I've had my Series S for about 9 months now and WOW... just wow... Fantastic performance. decent amount of space for games. Compact design. Quiet. Since almost anything electronic has been difficult to find, the Series S was in stock more often then the other next-gen consoles. I was slightly gun-shy to buy since the big brother has better performance benchmarks BUT dont let that fool you. This little beast exceeded my expectations and then some. I dont really care about full 4k nonsense considering my home receiver doesn't operate in that realm. 1080 is perfectly fine for me. The games look and play fine and the UI is easy to learn (coming from a PS guy) and Gamepass is a no brainer. Tons of games, old and new, and many exclusives and it can be used on PC. Whats not to love about that? My only gripe is the small drive space but I knew that going in. My external works fine for non-X/S optimized games so I can easily move the games around if needed or redownload. All in all its a great buy and highly recommend.

Everybody knows the deal, if you're looking at the Series S it's due to either your budget, or the Series X always being out of stock. My situation was both haha, but lets get to it. I highly recommend getting this console since it is fantastic! I recommend you make sure your monitor or tv have HDMI 2.1 that way you can use 120Hz. The load times are fast, it's extremely quiet, it boots up fast, it's a small console so it fits in many places as well. I'm currently playing 1440p at 60Hz on my monitor but that's due to being lazy and not putting it on my other monitor to use 120Hz. There are differences in terms of performance between the Series S and X but the price difference just makes the Series S much more appealing especially since you can play with 120Hz. In my opinion what you can do is get the Series S and play on it, but if the time comes where you can get a Series X then buy it and sell the Series S to pay for the difference. Just my experience and thoughts that you can do, but I hope you as a potential buyer have fun with your choice and enjoy it!

Price was amazing for I got it for $250 is a good deal. Some stores I see go down to $200 Unfortunately, had to return the product because of its small hard drive and to purchase one would be $200 more which I’m getting close to the Xbox series x territory so I picked one of those up instead

It plays current and upcoming games for a little over $200. Elden Ring alone was worth it to me.The catalog of games available and the ability to play new releases for this amount of money is a great deal. The performance wasn't bad and the quality was decent. Great for kids or people who occasionally play games or who just don't want to fork over 500+ dollar start up cost.

Purchase this system for my daughter. She doesn’t ask for much often so when I saw this on her Wish list, I knew it was a go. Purchased on sale which was great! She loves her new gaming system and plays with friends and family online too! Happy New Year!

Better value in my opinion of both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. This is very mobile, all you need is a backpack that can hold a laptop and then you can hook it up in a hotel or work etc etc. with the proper tv or monitor you get the 120 refresh rate and it is beautiful.

The system its self is very impressive but if your looking for memory space i would recommend getting the xbox X due to having such low memory space it gets frustrating when you want to downloaded a new game of corse there other option like getting a memory card attchment but at that point might as well get the Xbox X this system is best for digital games and if you only really play one or two games the low memory space is really the only issue i have with it if you dont have much money to spend on a system this one is nice and affordable truly is a little brother of the series x

Perfect for casual gamers. I use it once a month of by seasons. Get Ultimate Game Pass and play all game via cloud gaming. The small storage can only handle 2-3 AAA games at a time.
