Worth the upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t looking for the new Xbox, but I’m glad I got this. The system is much faster than my Xbox one and love that all my games are digital. No more switching disks to play different games.

Perfect as a second console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome console to complement a series X or if you have a 1080p tv. In my case.. It functions as a second console on my 1080p tv.. so it’s great! And incredible that you can get the series s at this price point!

Amazing console for a low price!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing this review after 5 months of use and I can say that the series s has surprised me in every way. The series s is a great deal for those who can't afford the series x. The graphics it delivered are way better than I ever expected for the price. I mainly play multiplayer games like Apex Legends and Warzone and I can say that the graphics are beautiful and the frames are stable. I also played some games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and was amazed by the visuals. Overall if you can't afford the series x this is a great console for the price especially for playing multiplayer games. Though if you play mostly single-player games I would highly suggest getting the series x as it's way better for most games out there.

Great little system!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is amazing especially for the price. After getting my disc PS5 I sold my Xbox Series X to get this. For the Series S I know it's not the most powerful but I am not complaining alpng with my PS5!

So much smaller than the older model
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son loves his new Xbox. He had an older model for years before this new model. He especially likes that it is so much smaller than his older model.

Great small console for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with the series S. I was able to use the 1440p at 120hz playing on a monitor with free sync. I was impressed with the SSD load times playing multiple games after each other. I thought the 512GB wouldn’t be enough but I only play 2-3 games at a time so I had lots of room. The only game that takes a lot of space is COD (100+GB) other than that most games are only 50GB or less. So there was a lot of room. Now if you plan to have more games you can always buy the expansion SSD that’s made for both series X/S. It’s a little pricey at around $220 for 1TB. Also the 4K on the series X would be the only other difference on the graphics. Oh yeah this console is small like tiny compared to the series X and smaller than the Xbox one X/S. I say it’s a get value for $300.

Definitely worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s worth the money for all the entertainment it provides. Both boys fight over who gets to play first. My boys love the game pass you can purchase to have access to over 100 games.

Very nice tiny system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this on a 50 inch 4k 60Hz television, and I upgraded from the original Xbox One. I also have an external SSD that I have a bunch of Xbox One games on. Visually, the higher framerate on the games is noticeable. I also really like the physical design of the system. Two of the main things I have liked so far are the very quick load times, and the quick resume feature. It makes it very difficult to think of going back to the original Xbox One. If I had a larger television with 120Hz refresh rate, I'd probably go for the Series X (though they are still hard to buy at retail). I'm happy with it, and I don't think you can go wrong for the price. The Series X or the standard PS 5 would also be great values at their retail price.

If you want it now, get it, I would wait..........
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4k graphics are exactly as great as they advertise!! I have been a PS user since the original, owned the 2 and the slim version, both the original and backwards compatible 3, original 4 and 4Pro. I absolutely got rid of everything PlayStation simply because of Sony Customer "Care" (They could caaare less about you). I bought the S for many reasons and have been impressed with everything. Expected pretty standard stuff, and was wrong on every occasion. Not personally a fan of white because if it isn't pristine, it's dirty, in my eyes. Ease of access is above expectation. It's absolutely silent even after hours of fast paced, intensive gameplay. No heat off the console at all. Setup and personal setting adjustments were far more simple than I had anticipated. 2FA is seamless. I even had a blast just setting up my friggin avatar!! The ONLY reason this did not get a perfect score is because..... 512gb isn't enough. Without the expansion card, you are really left with only keeping a couple games on the console. So pick your favorites to keep on it or you'll find yourself uninstalling games to have enough space to download and install the next game you want to play. I should have been more patient and waited to get the 2TB version of the console. If you're impatient like I was, get this with the expansion card :)

Great Gamepass machine/transition piece!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lucked out finding this at the local BB; intent is ultimately to use this system as a placeholder until the Series X becomes more readily available due to its increased power, optical drive and increased storage. As it stands, this is a dandy little system, even smaller than my Xbox One S. Already had Gamepass Ultimate so I transferred a few titles onto the (tiny) 364-gb SSD and fired them up after installing the 4K texture packs that Xbox recommends - didn't increase the size nearly as bad as I'd feared. Titles like Outriders and POE2 loaded insanely fast, markedly improved from even the portable SSD I was using to launch them on the One S! The improved frame rates and textures were a vast improvement and I'll never go back! All of it really whets my appetite to see what the Xbox Series X is capable of with three times the processing power, but again, as a holdover this system is perfectly adequate. Careful swapping around of titles due to the limited storage will allow for optimal play conditions at all times - and if you're like me and have a substantial disc-based collection of title, you'll need the Series X to take advantage of them as well. But for what it does, this system is quite an improvement over even the One X and really shows what gaming will look like in the near future!

Console works great, Citizens One problems.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Console is good and I have not had any problems with it, DO NO DO USE THE CITIZEN'S ONE FINANCING OPTION. As far as I can tell so far it is just a run around making you call in each month to get a new code for Xbox Game Pass. You are better off to either buy the console by itself. Or just keep calling to get codes everyday until you have a years worth of codes.

Great console, limited storage.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent console, fast and quality gaming. Only problem is the storage. Why Microsoft thought the discless version should have the least memory is beyond me. Another cash grab for when they release the expanded storage version later this year. (Maybe wait for that? Or just buy the Series X if you can afford that!) The idea of spending an extra 300 bucks on a sea gate internal storage drive is ridiculous in comparison to buying one Series X or even another series S for the same price. The console is fantastic, don’t get me wrong. If you’re only looking to play a few games (less than 400 gb if you’re including the space the base software requires) then it’s a great price compared to the other options. But if you’re playing X/S optimized games and plan on building a collection, maybe wait for something better.

Amazing Little Thing
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both a Series X and a Series S. I keep my Series X in my living room where my 4k LG TV that can maximize all its features (True 4K, 120hz). The Series S is kept in my office room attached two one of my 32in Gaming monitors that maximizes at 1440p and over 165hz (The Series S specs are for 1440p and 120hz gaming) which is really what the Series S is built for. The Series S' speed compared to the Series X is about 90% as fast as its older sibling in body about half its size. It's really an engineering marvel to be able to put out the kind of power and features this thing pushes with no noise at all. I recomend investing in the 1tb expansion card and the Microsoft Xbox wireless headphones and you will be impressed.
