The series s is a good side choice if you can't afford the series x. I've had good experiences with the console in the past, using it for long hours without it slowing down or anything, i even accidentally dropped it a few times and i would've thought i'd have to go and get it fixed but no problems happened after. The only major problem i had with the series s was the space capacity, after a few games i had to delete some to make space which gets frustrating but you just have to buy extra storage no real way around it which is fine. Still a great console nonetheless.

Oh man Microsoft out did themselves again! This little console is amazing and I upgraded from my XBOX One X. This thing loads so fast, getting back to my games is quick. It is much smother and clearer. If your questioning if this is good enough, well guess what it more then is. I feel this system is the way to go. I've been trying to get the Series X but it is so difficult. I got the Series S for my son for Christmas and was blown away on how awesome it it. so I grabbed one for myself. Highly recommend it.

If you don't need the optical drive, this is a much better deal for the price than the X. A heads up -- the new consoles work with your old controllers, however, there is a new framerate matching feature in the new controllers, so you can get some lag if you stick with your Xbox One controllers -- especially noticeable on FPS games. But the graphics quality, console size and features make this the better choice, especially given the limited availability and high prices of the Series X right now.
