The system its self is very impressive but if your looking for memory space i would recommend getting the xbox X due to having such low memory space it gets frustrating when you want to downloaded a new game of corse there other option like getting a memory card attchment but at that point might as well get the Xbox X this system is best for digital games and if you only really play one or two games the low memory space is really the only issue i have with it if you dont have much money to spend on a system this one is nice and affordable truly is a little brother of the series x

This is actually the second Xbox series that we have in our home it works just as well as the one we have already…although the first one was $500 plus…the one we just purchased was half the price! ..everything is working properly my son loves it!

    Miss the discs

The system works as designed and no complaints there. However, no loving the strictly digital aspect. Games we had can not be played since this does not have a disc slot. Finding a unit that takes discs was impossible so this was what we ended up with. The controller started sticking a few weeks after purchase so we had to get a replacement.

Came in great condition, unlike other purchases to where I had to return it due to a faulty hardware, but since purchasing I've ran into no problems, very happy I have finally gotten a new gen console after trying so many times looking through Amazon andal other stores

Good purchase affordable & small & light. The only problem is it has shut off about 3x’s since I had it. This can be fix by installing the “insider xbox app”. Download this & this should fix it. Once downloaded you’ll see something that says omega/delta this will fix it...

If your looking to olay aaa titles and dont need the best kf the best this is a great starting point. Storage can be an issue but a really strong internet connection and game pass can really expand the library through the ability to stream games

We love the Xbox series games and the new console is great, just can’t play discs, and we added a seagate hard drive for an extra terrabyte which makes it an awesome console.

There has been a lot said about this little giant. Yes, it's small, cute, and easy to install. While not as powerful as its bigger brother, Series X, and arguably less powerful than my Xbox One X, it more than satisfied my need to go "next-gen" at a price I can agree with. I installed it on my 1080p-240Hz monitor to take advantage of the refresh rate and so far I've been pleased. Even though only a few games take full advantage of the frame rate boost at this time, the ones that do work feel great. I did try it on my 60" 4K screen and it displayed a decent picture (1440p games, 4K video content). But I decided to keep the good ol' One X there instead. The controller feels slightly better than the previous generation. There's some texture on the underside and the buttons feel responsive without being sticky or mushy. There are a couple of things that take away from making the Series S an amazing console. First, there is no digital optical output. Unfortunately for me, the monitor does not have speakers and my desk soundbar does not have an HDMI input/passthrough. However, I ended up using the 3.5mm output from the monitor to the soundbar, sadly sacrificing digital sound. Second, the bugs. Oh, boy does this console have glitches! From the beginning, I have experienced disconnects, freeze-ups, garbled sounds, the console turning on its own or refusing to turn off with the controller, and controller/headphone disconnections. Thirdly, space. Coming at a flimsy 512GB with only 320GB real state, one can only download and install a few games or two or three AAA titles. One must purchase an HDD, SSD, or the incredibly expensive internal 1TB NVMe drive from Seagate, making it a much more expensive investment. At that point, a Series X would make more sense. While I understand the space restriction to lower costs, there is no excuse for the performance issues as they should've been addressed long ago. Still, I enjoy this little device. The loading speeds are phenomenal as well as the ability to resume any game instantly. The boost in frames is especially welcome since I play first-person shooters quite often, and there's no denying how compact and semi-portable the Series S is. So, I still believe this is a good "in-between" performance/value console. It's well priced as is and I can honestly recommend it, especially if you are not able to get the Series X at this time.

It’s an amazing device at a great price, no other competitors, and it plays all modern games. Huge fan. Only issue is storage, I could only install 4 games.

Excellent console. If it had an external disk drive you could hook up to it, I’d have been sold. I prefer physical media. I buy less of it (beat a larger percentage of the games I do buy) and can resell it down the line. But went with the series x because less pop in and a disc drive

This is the peak of affordable gaming consoles. Physical copies of games are becoming a thing of the past, and this console takes advantage of that to bring a more affordable and compact gaming experience.

The ‘Xbox Series X’ for Less

The only downside of this product is that it doesn’t have as much storage as the Series X, but can be fixed with an External Hardrive or SSD Expansion Card. But other than that, has all the functionality of the Series X but for way less.

This machine is a great supplement to any gamers collection. If your not a super xbox fan and opted to get a PS5.... or to wait for one, then this is a great option. You get access to all the games you want through the game pass and you dont have to collect physical media for a system thats not your main or favorite.

Bought the Series S to replace my old 2013 vintage launch Xbox One, and I’ve been really happy with the upgrade. It plays everything I’ve tried from Game Pass really smoothly, including games like Deathloop and Forza Horizon 5 (albeit at a lower resolution than the Series X). The fast SSD with quick resume really makes a big difference in how much more fun games like Forza Horizon are because you don’t have to wait forever for a race to load like on the Xbox One. The lack of a Blu-Ray drive really hasn’t been an issue except when it came to my old Lego Dimensions game which doesn’t have an option to download the core game from the Xbox Store for some reason, but that’s more on the developer. The hard dive is pretty tight for modern games, but I’ve gotten around that a bit by using an old external Samsung T7 SSD for offloading games I’m not playing to free up space. The games transfer to the other external SSD pretty quickly, but it could have been better had they included a USB-C port so the external drive could run at its full speed instead of half what it can do (the new T9 externals will be limited to a quarter of their rated speed).

    The Only Budget Next-Gen Console

So happy Xbox released a budget option for next-gen, but the storage is such a big issue, probably more than you'd expect. You can't play Series X/S games from an external, which means if you play COD, you have to use half of your internal storage to house a 200 gb game. Definitely a flaw I hope they work out in the near future. As a casual gamer, I have like 4 games on the internal and numerous legacy games on my external. Overall runs great and supports some next-gen graphics depending on the game. Never had an issue with Xbox and it's why I keep going back. The controllers aren't as much of an upgrade as the Dual Sense PS5 controllers that are half the price of Xbox's elite controllers, but oh well.

Ugh may I say it…I actually like this console. I am a PlayStation girl so that’s saying a lot. From the game pass to graphics is great! I just wish I had more space smh the controllers are super reasonable but they do stick after a year.
