Excellent purchase!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to buy this since I can never find the Series X. This little machine does not disappoint. I even received it early. Had a slight issue with the WiFi disconnecting every 20 minutes, but after I reset the console this hasn’t happened since. The connection is great, apps are fast and games load up in seconds. I am very happy with this purchase. I actually have most games digital so I could care less about not having the disc drive. I love how small this console is and quiet as well. The machine does not even get hot. You could easily take this with you out of town. I ended up buying the SSD expansion drive, which is pretty expensive so it was like buying the Series X, still I am very happy I decided to buy this. I figure they’ll be coming out with the pro version in the next few years, so I’ll probably upgrade then.

Great value!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've already had a series x for 2 years and bought this for the bedroom because of how cheap it was. Honestly playing on a 22-in 1080p TV. It works perfect. The hard drive is small but for me this is not a problem as I'm only installing a few games on this one anyway as the series x works as the main Xbox for the family. I still feel though that this would work as a great main Xbox, especially if you're shopping on a budget. I don't see you having a problem with it. The picture won't look as good obviously on a giant 4K TV, but if you're playing on a smaller display or if graphics aren't that important, I highly recommend this.

It's super power is that it's actually available
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the Xbox Series X is more appealing to me (better 4k support, disc drive, black colorway), the Series S has a key super power: you can actually buy it. I found that Microsoft has really blurred the lines between Xbox One and Xbox Series, and the Series S performs a lot like a better Xbox One X. Nothing to complain about, but it also doesn't feel like an entirely new product. The styling is a little goofy but serviceable. The size is very compact and portable for a home console. Game Pass may be the best value in gaming, and this box is a great way to tap into that giant ecosystem of old and new games.

Excellent console, runs really fast, and runs cool
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft has done an excellent job with the Series X/S. The One S was pretty good, but this one blows the doors off that one. It runs pretty cool and it is really fast. Have yet to try connecting an external hard drive, but if it is anything like the One S then it should be a cinch. I also need to give tons of kudos to Best Buy for how they managed their new stock between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I managed to get a unit with time to spare before Christmas thanks to the "waiting line" they instituted to release stock during the day after they replenish some. It worked as advertised and made it significantly harder for the 3rd party re-sellers from buying-up the newer stocks. Many thanks Best Buy for the forward thinking and change to allow a more level playing field in acquiring these hard-to-find units. We had a blast in Christmas thanks to this.

Great value for the price point.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already had an Xbox Series X for my family room but bought this unit to use in my bedroom. I’m surprised how much of a punch it provides despite the lower entry price and lower specs. I have a 65” TCL TV in the bedroom which isn’t the best HD TV but games look and run great on it. Only issue is the limited storage space but I bought an external SSD for it which works great. Great value for the price.

The One To Get
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the system to get if you want to experience AAA next gen gaming that won’t break the bank. I have a Switch (which I love) and decided to buy this system as a stop gate to the Switch’s successor. I enjoy PC gaming too so I was already in the Microsoft ecosystem. This system does not disappoint.

Great little console!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size of this console. Wish it had more memory for games as I tend to buy everything digital. At least you can add more memory for the future. Plays everything smooth. I didn't need 4k and everything still displays fantastic.

Most people don’t need a Series X
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re on the fence and think the Series S is only a 1080p game console...think again. Every optimized for X|S game that I have played (which is most) has run in stunning 4K 60fps with HDR. I upgraded from Xbox One S and this console looks and runs light years ahead. You will not be disappointed if you can’t get your hands on the Series X. The Series S will give you more than you would expect. The absolute only reason I would say to wait for a Series X is if you have a brand new 4K 120fps tv or monitor. Surprisingly the Series S can actually run 120fps but only at 1080p which is amazing for the size and price of this console. I don’t plan on upgrading my tv for another few years so the Series S is more than enough for most people. Just buy it and you will love it. It’s brought my love for gaming back. Thanks Xbox!

New and Improved
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace my son’s Xbox One (I know it was old and outdated) and replaced it with this Xbox. I love that it’s smaller and faster. My son enjoys it! And for the price it is definitely worth it!

Very Surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have a PS5, and wanted an SX for Game Pass, but as you know they are hard to come by and reached on the SS. I already own a One X, and I am playing on a 2.1 4K TV, so I was worried this would not be an upgrade. I am very impressed, and honestly, this is the perfect little GP machine. I have run One X against it on the same tv and the difference is more than I thought. I’m sure you’ve heard the knock that it is not native 4K, but upscaled on my TV it is barely noticeable. The 120 FPS and ray tracing is very noticeable, however. This little machine is the best bargain of the new generation. This is not a PS5, but the perfect compliment to one or is perfect for someone looking for a next gen and find this one available. Three hundred bucks is the cost of 4 games off Game Pass.

Truly a “bang for your buck”
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good console. I also have the PS5 now so I use this much less and my siblings really use it as their own now. But for a while, it was my primary console and it was great. The Xbox interface is so smooth and simple to use. I had the Gamepass while I used it and it allowed me to play so many games without buying them outright. One of the bigger downsides of the console is the internal storage size which really only allowed me to have a select few games installed to play at any given moment. I knew that storage would probably be an issue when I purchased it but I only knew for sure once I already had it. Other than that, it ran every single game I played on it smoothly and its smaller form factor helped me save space.

Excellent Budget Option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an amazing device at a great price, no other competitors, and it plays all modern games. Huge fan. Only issue is storage, I could only install 4 games.

Fun for everyone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its small, quiet, and a lot of fun. Got it for myself and a roomate and we both can use it when we want. No disc slot which is fine for me. I dont need to have that as i stream everything anyway and i dont care about return value on trade in. For thise that want to buy physical discs this is not for you. The smaller memory is kinda nnoying but truth be told i dont keep to many games on it at once so no impact yet. Overall i would recommend for a fun gather around or hey maybe its just for you, wither way i think youll enjoy

Xbox Series S
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product has been fantastic so far, I have enjoyed it very much. Incredibly smooth gameplay and quick loading speeds have made this console a must have. The only downside I have came across is the storage, enough space for 2-3 large games. But given the low price and download speeds, it’s not much to complain about. Very happy with this purchase.

Great console
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say, a relayable little piece of machine, small, fast, 120 fps, looks great and you can play the next gen games with this, even at 1080p, in some cases up to 1440p, the graphics look awesome.

Little in size, big in power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system, graphics are top notch, super fast loading of games as well. Size of the console it's self is cool too, small enough to put anywhere. If you are ok with not have a physical disk drive, this console is perfect for you.

Compact Next Gen Gaming!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit that I wasn’t sure this console was going to live up to my graphical expectations coming from PC. I was dead wrong! Games still look great at 1080-1440p on my 4K TV. All of this from their smallest console ever. The ssd has only 364gb of usable space and it fills up quickly because game pass is awesome. It only feels somewhat warm when I place my hand an inch away from the exhaust so thermals are kept under control. The redesigned controller is a nice evolution of the existing Xbox one controller and the D-pad is much better with more matte plastic material. The UI is just ok and could use some improvement. For the money, Microsoft did a lot right and I salute them. This console reminded me that gaming is more than just graphical fidelity.

Xbox Series S
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Series S. It's small, easy to travel with and a perfect Game Pass gaming console. You can't get used games or trade disks with friends anymore which sucks but its only 300 bucks. Perfect for a second T.V. or a kids room.
