Open box Xbox series S
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The series S is a great console for the price. I bought from Best Buy open box for under $200 and it looks and works as brand new. It’s a small console and looks very nice and subtle. Plays most games In 60fps.

Same quality As it Big brother
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox series s this console was cheaper than buying Its big brother the x. The graphics may be a little bit lower, but you still get the same enjoyment as you was on the big powerhouse one. Storage was a little disappointment but I bought some extra storage.

Good purchase for the not-so-serious gamer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure: I'm not a serious gamer. I picked this up on a whim (pandemic boredom). I also bought the Microsoft Game Pass. Set-up was pretty easy out the box. Only a few hiccups separating my work Microsoft account from my personal account. Took about an hour for all the updates to complete. Game pass has a nice selection of games. I like being able to play cloud based games. If you're a serious gamer, the storage will probably be an issue. Downloading a graphics heavy game like Forza takes a good chunk of the available memory. I have 5 or 6 games in my library now and I'm already 93% full. I recommend getting a charger/recharging station for the controllers. Replacing batteries gets old pretty fast. My only real gripe is that it was surprisingly difficult to set up our second controller so that my wife and I could play against each other. If you want to play against someone halfway across the world, no problem. Playing against someone sitting with you on your couch, on the other hand, is a lot more difficult. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

Great!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kids love it. Happy with the purchase. At first they were a little disappointed due to no disc place, then got used to the already downloaded version of the games.

Best Xbox overall
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the last Xbox that I got haven’t switched it over 3 to 4 years now. And I see no reason to change anytime soon still works like new and it’s super fast with the Internet and the multiplayer capabilities as well

There's no power greater than X
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remember those old Xbox commercials from shortly after the original console launched in 2001? Well, the Xbox Series S reaffirms that there really is no power greater than X. Sure, you're not getting an optical drive here, but that doesn't mean that this system isn't anything short of amazing. I've played games on here that I also have on PC and I kid you not, I can't tell the difference between the two versions. If PC gaming isn't your bag or if space is at a premium (or both), then definitely look into getting this beautiful system!

Next Gen features!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was wanting the series X but, was only able to obtain the series S. I was a little bummed at first because I really wanted the X. But, I’ve really grown to love the S, it’s a little powerhouse in it’s own right. It has the quick resume which I love and the optimized games look great! After spending time with this system, I’m now really in no hurry to get the X. But, I will eventually upgrade when they become more available. So, if you’re looking to experience next gen now? You really can’t go wrong with this. The only downside to this system is it’s a digital only system. Which you’ll definitely need external memory if you choose to go this route.

I have a PS5 needed an Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all let me say, yes half a terabyte but ladies and gents you can get 2 TB heck even 4TB if you shop around for under $120, yes for another $200 if you're lucky enough to find the Series X you could get it, the better console that runs a bit quicker and gives you real 4K content. But If you're a gamer and don't mind 2K at 120FPS this is for you. Plus digital games are the future and load faster and run smoother. I haven't owned an Xbox since the 360 and I almost forgot how fun Halo, Gears of War, and other Xbox exclusives are. Great price with insurance and a 4TB hardrive it was still cheaper then my PS5. Overall the build the quality on a samsung Qled tv just can't get any better. Super happy with Microsoft and the new Series S.

It’s alright, smells weird though.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right when I opened it from the box it has a weird funky smell. No, it’s not the “new” smell. It’s like the new smell mixed with the musty smell you’d get from a house full of pets. Is it new? Refurbished? I don’t know, I had to wait almost two weeks for it to arrive so I’m assuming it’s new and the smell is from manufacturing? Other than that gross smell. It’s alright, does exactly what an Xbox is supposed to do; play games. 512GB is pretty limited, but nothing storage expansion won’t fix. The new revision to the controller that launched with the Series X|S is pretty nice and leagues above the old 360 controller I’m coming from. It’s also compact and quiet, has a nice modern look to it that doesn’t go all extreme. The upscaling doesn’t look all that great when compared to native 4K. You can see within the consoles Home Screen/menus options isn’t as sharp (yes, I know it’s target resolution is 1440p, but it does have the option to select 4K in the settings and no, I’m not using a cheap TV I have it hooked up to a LG CX). I intended to use this strictly for Game Pass so those short comings don’t bother me, except that weird smell. Makes you just wanna vomit, anyway, if you are bothered with the Series S’s shortcomings and want something more you are better off getting the Series X.

The Little Console That Could
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this console. You get a lot for only $300. Quick Resume is a great feature, although it doesn't always work and some games don't support it. Like previous Xbox consoles, the controllers use double-A batteries which is good in that you can always replace the batteries unlike Playstation controllers. Also, the amount of old Xbox games available on the online store thanks to backwards compatibility is arguably the strongest selling point of Microsoft's platform. My biggest complaint is the lack of internal storage and the fact you have to pay $219 to buy one specific memory card in order to upgrade, whereas PS5 gives you options.

Rock Solid Next Gen Console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical on getting a next-gen digital console, but this one has been rock solid thus far with no issues. If only the PS5 digital was this small of a form factor I would have got both. No complaints here.

Happy with my purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got exactly what I wanted from Best Buy: an Xbox Series S, very quickly and easy. Pickup was hassle-free, and the console works spectacularly. I bought it to play Mortal Kombat 1, Starfield, and a few other games, and it does so flawlessly. My only "complaint" would be the storage space, but since that's on the product label, you know what you're getting into, and it can be easily fixed by buying an external hard drive.

great next gen starter system
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty cheap way to get into next gen gaming. The Series S is built very solidly. I expected it to be larger, but was pretty surprised at how compact it was. Setup was easy, and the initial console update didn't take that much time. If you have this + gamepass, you're pretty much set. The only downside with this console, is that the internal storage is pretty limited (you are not getting all of the 512gb, some space is reserved for the system). So you will either have to rotate the games you have on the Series S, or invest in an external HDD (either a regular one, or buy the very very very expensive Seagate expansion card). This system is perfect for those who don't buy physical media, and who are new to the Xbox ecosystem.

Great for the casual Xbox player
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like this system. I already have a ton of different video game consoles and have a lot of different kinds of Xbox games on my PC. Just wanted to transfer a few of my games to a system instead of connecting my pc to a 4K tv. Works great if you play a few games. It’s recommended to just get game pass since the systems hard drive can only hold a few new titles. Since the new titles general size are around 100 gb and after the systems operating system takes up about 180 gb of space. You’re only left with about 365 gb of space which means that this system can hold only a few games. Since I’m a casual gamer, that’s the best option

Great Value, excellent performance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for casual gaming, I upgraded from my original Xbox One which was having trouble running newer games and if you don’t want to drop $500 or more for the series X this is a great option, no disk games but most of my games were digital so that’s fine for me, only having 500gb can get annoying but I don’t play very many games at once so it’s not too much of a problem, and you can get 1tb hard drive extensions for around $80 if you need some more space, also, this thing is TINY. Very useful for traveling or just not taking up much room. Overall excellent value and the controller it comes with is very nice.

Wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console itself is very impressive when considering what it is capable of relative to its size and price. One note is that storage is a bit low after downloading the OS updates, so an external hard drive is necessary. Had to return because the controller was defective, even after Microsoft service repairs. Overall, great purchase for kids to begin their gaming journey!

Great for non 4K HDTVs
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for what it is. If you have a 4K HDTV, I recommend the Xbox Series X. However, if you have anything less than 4K, the Xbox Series S has all the capability you need for a digital setup.
