I had an XB1X and was thinking the series s was going to be a step down. I was flat wrong. This thing is a huge upgrade. Fast, and sleek. I have it mounted behind my wall mounted 42inch 4k tv. Can’t even tell it is there. The one draw back is the storage. I did get the sea gate expandable memory card and it is better than good

Downloading games and playing on new faster drives have been a night and day difference from past consoles. This is a great Xbox for those only looking to go next gen and not necessarily going full 4K. Size is small, appealing and can fit in most entertainment centers with ease. Definitely a good way to go into the next gen of gaming.

Great complementary console

I use it primarily for GamePass and the occasional xbox exclusives. I have a PS5, but having the form factor of the Xbox Series S, plus the lack of physical games, makes this device easy to take with me on long trips. I think this is a great device, my only grip is the little amount of storage in this digital only device.

The console is great for people that cannot get the Series X or just want something inexpensive. It is a fun console and I am glad to play on the thing.

I’m loving it so far. Load times and graphics are just obviously better than my Xbox one. Didn’t need a disc drive and I’m not gaming in 4K 120fps so the series s was in my wheelhouse. No regrets and tbh, the thing was a lot smaller than I was expecting. Packaging was great and the new controller feels great.

Smaller than it looks online

Once it was in stock I purchased and we are very happy with our purchase. Only thing we noticed was that the Xbox is a lot smaller than depicted online. It’s okay because our Xbox One literally stopped working a month before we ordered this one. This Xbox doesn’t require as much counter space as the Xbox one and we love that!

Really impressed especially for the price. There’s very little storage but I knew that already and got tired of waiting for the X to be available. Could always add storage or upgrade to the X later. I recommend purchasing a chargeable battery for the controller as the AAs don’t last too long and you’ll spend more money changing them out

I’ve owned this and the series X. Extremely happy I have this one now. I have seen no differences yet between this and the X. I don’t want the physical copies of games so going all digital is perfect. Microsoft made a wonderful gaming console. The UI is smooth, and I’ve had zero graphical issues with games.
