I have both series s and series x. Both are great systems. If you ain't playing on a 120 Hertz TV or monitor then s is a good system.

I don't like how there aren't any disks. So, you're screwed if you lose internet. Games take forever to download and have issues.

Very small, can only store 2 games at a time. At the end of the day you end up spending just as much money on the series s as you would the series x because of the external hard drive

It's fine. Doesn't take disks. Sorta a bummer. Basically a xbox gamepass machine.

I would recommend the Xbox X rather than this. I would save money for the Xbox x rather than this system. I don't recommend if you want to use any disks for the xbox one. The older systems supported better download speed.

    Xbox series S disappointing

I don’t know if Best Buy messed it up or it was damaged in shipping to the store but I literally had the Xbox series S for 4 days then out of no where after 45 mins of playing it just shut off I did everything and I could to keep it on from uninstalling game and factory restart everything now it’s been shipped off since the 26 still haven’t got it back from Microsoft. This is very disappointing due to the fact I waited so long just to get it and when I do it’s just shuts off I hope they fix it or send me a new e cause that horrible business

Quite set up. Love that it has standby mode instead of complete shut off. Recommend an external storage drive though.

Not a huge fan of it not taking a disc. Limits what you can do and you can’t “trade in” games because of the digital platform. We still own this but we also purchased the disc version.

Spend the extra money and get the series X. Not sure why they thought this was a good idea. Should’ve done what PlayStation did and just took the disc drive out of the X and made it $100 less.

It wasn't all that I expected. It doesn't run as smooth as the older one. I had to delete my account from the old one. Total bummer! Mt other games were not available for transfer.

You pay for what you get. This system would crash on me and have slow download times. It would get hot around the fan area even when not using it. If you have the money I would recommend just purchasing the X.

      Hi there,

We're sorry that you're experiencing issues with your Xbox Series S. First, we recommend making sure that it is placed in a well-ventilated spot with 4-6 inches of clearance around it and that its vents are unobstructed. If you continue to experience problems, please reach out to Xbox Support for assistance here: https://support.microsoft.com/devices

      Hope that helps,

Perfect for playing games on Gamepass and indie games, which is all I've used it for thus far. Played High on Life on it via Gamepass and while some frame rate drops occurred, I experienced no major performance issues. Can't wait to play other Microsoft exclusives!

If you have a mid range of already then don’t buy this. It really is underpowered. If you don’t have a pc or a game console the i would say buy it. Also get the game pass as well.

Expensive for a box, the software is pretty glitchy too. Picture is great but at times the processors seem slow.. internet speed is over 514mbps so not a speed issue. Hopefully new updates will fix it.
