This is an awesome console -- with a catch. This console does not have ANY storage. Out of the box, you only have about 300 GB to work with. This barely fits 2 next-gen games, which means you NEED a game drive.

Moving from a PS4 to the XBox series S I was initially disappointed. However the speed and ease quickly won me over. Games load fast and hold progress. I do think the game store and controllers could be improved.

    Best Thing for gaming

The Xbox Series S has a sleek, minimalist design. It's smaller and more compact compared to its big brother, the Series X, which makes it a great choice for those who may not have a lot of space. Despite its size, it still has a modern, clean look with the large black vent on top, adding to its aesthetic. While the Series S isn't as powerful as the Series X, it still delivers an excellent performance for most gamers. It boasts a custom RDNA 2 GPU that can run games at 1440p resolution, upscaled to 4K, and supports up to 120 frames per second in some titles. This makes it more than capable for casual and even competitive gaming. The console's load times are incredibly fast, thanks to the solid-state drive (SSD). This allows for near-instant loading of games, and it's especially noticeable when transitioning between game worlds or starting a new session. The Xbox Velocity Architecture provides seamless transitions and faster gameplay, which is a noticeable upgrade from previous generation consoles. The Xbox Series S has full access to the Xbox Game Pass, which is an incredible perk for those who want access to a large catalog of games at a fixed monthly cost. With the addition of Xbox Cloud Gaming, it opens up even more possibilities for gamers, allowing access to a variety of titles without needing to download them. While the Series S doesn’t support physical media like the Series X, its all-digital design fits the current trend of downloadable games. However, this can be a downside for those who prefer physical discs or have a collection of games from previous generations. One of the major downsides of the Xbox Series S is its storage capacity. With just 512GB of SSD storage, you'll likely find yourself running out of space quickly, especially with newer games that can take up a large chunk of memory. Fortunately, Xbox offers expandable storage with the Seagate Storage Expansion Card, but this comes at a premium cost. The Xbox Series S is significantly more affordable than the Xbox Series X, making it a great value for the price. It’s perfect for gamers who want a next-gen experience without breaking the bank. While it doesn’t have the raw power of the Series X, it still delivers a solid performance and excellent value, especially when paired with Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox Series S is a fantastic choice for those who are looking for next-gen gaming at an affordable price. Its sleek design, fast performance, and access to a vast game library via Xbox Game Pass make it a compelling option for casual and hardcore gamers alike. While the storage capacity and lack of physical media support might be a dealbreaker for some, the Series S provides a great entry point into the world of next-gen gaming without emptying your wallet. If you’re looking for value, performance, and the convenience of digital gaming, the Xbox Series S is a great pick.

Love the quick resume. Was expecting something a little more next gen like instead of what my xbox one x looked like but at least I know where everything's at. The Microsoft store sucks though and in my opinion could use a overhaul. Like viewing a video there you get a portion of the screen and no ability to enlarge or expand to full screen.

Way overpriced gaming console, only $100 less thsn the full function Series X, which no one can get at list price, but lacking in storage capacity (512), ability to play older games, expanded storage is $219 for 1T expansion. I'm sorry I bought it.

This looks awesome on a 1080 tv. There is no need to get series x unless you have a 4k tv
