I'm new to gaming. This is the first console I've ever used. I basically chose this for its price and whether it would play Hogwarts Legacy efficiently. I asked a gamer about different consoles and went with the one i could afford. I'm satisfied with what it does. The only problem is there is no disc drive. All games are digital.

Great console to have if u lack space in your entertainment center and if your living on a budget. It’s a win also if you don’t care about disk games, but the only bad thing about it, is the memory in it. But you can always upgrade it.

Even without a disc drive, this is such a bargain for next-gen gaming, and it's easily small enough to fit in a backpack to bring with you. In fact, that was my primary reason for getting the Series S. The 1TB expansion card is a hard pill to swallow costing more than half of the cost of the Series S by itself but I think over time it'll be necessary to avoid having to constantly manage game installations on the internal drive.

Great upgrade from the past gen, smooth transition for those already accumulated into the XB ecosystem. Using the app to set up your Series S is super quick and easy. Along with quick resume. 4K gaming never looked better and this machine is quiet. Certainly beats PS4.

I was really holding out for an XBOX Series X but I was having such a hard time finding one so I opted for the Series S. This was actually my first XBOX since the 360. I have a PS4 and I use that quite often but figured with GamePass due to the price of the Series S, I would give it a go and I'm glad I got it. I have a 65" LG C1 and even with the lower resolution, I have no issues with quality on the OLED tv, I was a little worried with it not having true 4k capabilities for gaming but honestly I never even notice. What I probably notice the most is how much quicker it is as loading games than my PS4 PRO but I cannot comment on prior XBOX models and it's been a while since I've owned one. If you can truly live without the true 4k, I say it's the next best thing and with gamepass, it makes for a great gaming experience.

    Perfect console

This right here is a perfect console for someone not chasing latest and greatest graphics. I could buy 2 of these for the price of my PC's GPU, and that's not even talking about other components. My eyes aren't all that great, but I still like the way games look on my 55 inch 4K panel - not quite like my PS5 (favorite console this gen), but that thing's $200 more and barely in stock, unlike this. If you don't care about not being able to buy cheap disk games from previous gen, just go for it. MS store sales are pretty good, game pass is a great deal too, I never run out of stuff to play. My only complaint is the controller (I prefer DualSense for the button feel + you need rechargeable batteries for this one), but they improved the d-pad over Xbox One's pad anyway. Just go get it if it's in stock.

My favorite thing about this Xbox is how small it is! I wasn’t really into specs of the series x, plus I don’t have a tv or monitor that could take advantage of them, so I decided to go with the series S. My only complain is the storage size.

Fantastic. I can't believe I waited so long to upgrade from the XBOX ONE. This is super-fast and performs like no console I have used before. Obviously, the small hard drive is a pain, but it is it what it is. So worth the low cost, in my opinion.

overall this is a good console for anyone who either doesn't care about 4k or that can't find a Series X or Ps5. games download quick, no framerate dips thus far, fast loading times. main issue i have is the storage. If you want to play games optimized for the Series S/X you will need to make smart use of its 364GB of usable storage or fork out another +$220 for the Seagate 1TB expansion card or get a lower spec HDD or SSD for older unoptimized games.

Phenomenal gaming system! Very easy to set up and small enough to fit in any gamers space. No long load times and quick connectivity to the internet. You can also add a expandable device for larger storage capacity.

If you really don’t care about 4K resolution then buy this console. If you aren’t a console fanatic then buy this console. If you don’t care about physical discs or don’t see it as a con then buy this console. If you don’t mind the 330gb of usable storage then buy this console. For this price I think it’s capable of delivering next gen performance at an affordable price. It’s small clean and compact sort of. A neat console for its price point.

      Hey there,

Thank you for recommending Xbox Series S, especially to players ready to go all-digital in their gaming. If you're running low on storage, you have a couple of options. The best solution is to invest in the Seagate SSD 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series X/S, which will add 1TB of SSD storage to your console. For more information, go here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/seagate-storage-expansion-card-for-xbox-series-xs-1tb-solid-state-drive-nvme-expansion-ssd-for-xbox-series-xs/6425015.p?skuId=6425015

Another solution is to add a standard external hard drive, which can be used to store and play Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that have not been enhanced for Xbox Series X/S.

We hope you have a lot of fun with your Xbox.

      Happy gaming,
      Chuck

This item is indeed an Xbox Series S. Its a good value if do not play very many games at once (3-5 titles). If you want to take advantage of the GamePass subscription to the FULLEST extent, you may want to go ahead and get the Series X instead because it has more available storage out of the box. Either way, you’ll definitely need to purchase the additional storage or an external drive. Total cost of this console really ends up being 500 dollars if you want to play more than a few next gen games at once. Call of Duty, Fortnite, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, and Mass Effect have entirely eaten my internal storage. HOWEVER If you enjoy playing older games (pre 2018), indie games, you’re okay. Have at it. 10/10

I went back and forth for several months deciding if I wanted the series x or series s. At the end of the day, I realized that for me personally, the Series S made the most sense. Sure the X has a few more features graphically but I have a really good PC for that. This is perfect for how I play games and the type of games I play personally. It's reasonably sized, has good performance, and just fits me. I would recommend getting the memory expansion card if you can find a deal on it. These days 4-5 AAA titles will fill the available memory. It's not a requirement to get that expansion card however as it will keep your progress files intact even when you uninstall a game to make space for other titles and any title you buy can be added back later or on another series x/s console elsewhere. Glad to Add this one to my collection and given the opportunity i'd buy it again!

This thing is very underrated. Its fast and small, and is perfect if you want to travel with just a couple of "essential" games......or stash it in a room/place that wouldn't normally have space for a console setup. Just cant do 8K....oh well.

Storage is a big problem you have to buy storage card if you want to play more then 3 games only able to use a little over 300 GB the controller that came with it new out of the box the a button sticks down which is a huge deal for every game or watching Netflix not gonna be able to use it at all my old controllers will work better then it the console itself works well just wish more games could be played on external hard drive

I am very happy with my purchase. Just a few minor complaints. I love the size, and price point. It gets you into the next gen at a realistic price. I think the games run smooth. Sure they are not on same level with Series X or PS5 but they will do. My one complaint is I do not like the Xbox UI and the options for audio / mics. Just seems very dumbed down + hard to navigate.
