Best Value in next gen gaming
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from day one Xbox one. Much better of a console it’s night and day. Fast loads, solid frame rates, up to 120 on some games

There's no power greater than X
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remember those old Xbox commercials from shortly after the original console launched in 2001? Well, the Xbox Series S reaffirms that there really is no power greater than X. Sure, you're not getting an optical drive here, but that doesn't mean that this system isn't anything short of amazing. I've played games on here that I also have on PC and I kid you not, I can't tell the difference between the two versions. If PC gaming isn't your bag or if space is at a premium (or both), then definitely look into getting this beautiful system!

Just buy it if your on the fence
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would definitely recommend this. I wanted a way to play Halo and other Microsoft exclusives on top of my PS5. This scratches that itch and truly is a next gen console in a small package

It’s alright, smells weird though.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right when I opened it from the box it has a weird funky smell. No, it’s not the “new” smell. It’s like the new smell mixed with the musty smell you’d get from a house full of pets. Is it new? Refurbished? I don’t know, I had to wait almost two weeks for it to arrive so I’m assuming it’s new and the smell is from manufacturing? Other than that gross smell. It’s alright, does exactly what an Xbox is supposed to do; play games. 512GB is pretty limited, but nothing storage expansion won’t fix. The new revision to the controller that launched with the Series X|S is pretty nice and leagues above the old 360 controller I’m coming from. It’s also compact and quiet, has a nice modern look to it that doesn’t go all extreme. The upscaling doesn’t look all that great when compared to native 4K. You can see within the consoles Home Screen/menus options isn’t as sharp (yes, I know it’s target resolution is 1440p, but it does have the option to select 4K in the settings and no, I’m not using a cheap TV I have it hooked up to a LG CX). I intended to use this strictly for Game Pass so those short comings don’t bother me, except that weird smell. Makes you just wanna vomit, anyway, if you are bothered with the Series S’s shortcomings and want something more you are better off getting the Series X.

Very Fun
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I havent had a xbox since the original one came out, but so far this xbox s is very small and load times and very impressive. This is plenty small enough to be mounted behind a TV on wall as well. Love it so far

XBox Rocks!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not the gaming type, however, my husband and 16 year daughter are and they love the XBox. It's great to see them bonding over games. I have played Just Dance on the XBox and that is so fun. We also purchased the game pass as well which works seamlessly with the console. My 7 year old nephew also loves coming over to play mindcraft. I guess, his auntie and uncle have street cred with his friends because we own the XBox!

Good but Not Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that this is not nearly as good as the Series X or the PS5. If you are someone who does not have a 120hz 4k tv, this is your system. If your worried about space, ask what games do you play and how many do you constantly play. I play a couple of Series S/X games but put all the Xbox One games on an external drive. So, this works perfectly.

Great console, limited storage.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent console, fast and quality gaming. Only problem is the storage. Why Microsoft thought the discless version should have the least memory is beyond me. Another cash grab for when they release the expanded storage version later this year. (Maybe wait for that? Or just buy the Series X if you can afford that!) The idea of spending an extra 300 bucks on a sea gate internal storage drive is ridiculous in comparison to buying one Series X or even another series S for the same price. The console is fantastic, don’t get me wrong. If you’re only looking to play a few games (less than 400 gb if you’re including the space the base software requires) then it’s a great price compared to the other options. But if you’re playing X/S optimized games and plan on building a collection, maybe wait for something better.

Great Little Console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Console. Small, portable and best of all High performance. Don't expect XSX or PS5 kid of performance but very close. The only one thing I didn't like was the low capacity of the HDD..

Budget Friendly Next Gen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a gift for my girlfriends dad and he really likes it. It’s powerful enough to play optimized next gen games and able to do it free of discs which is one less thing he has to worry about. Out of the box, setup is very simple even for brand new accounts. Would recommend this if you don’t have a big collection of physical games and are okay with the less powerful hardware compared to the Xbox Series X as well as storage space. Other than that, makes a great gift for people who new to the Xbox ecosystem, especially with GamePass!

Totally worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console! Wanted to upgrade my Xbox one and there was a major difference. Faster load time is a nice feature along with how compact the console is. The only downside is having a small storage.

Awesome little thing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this little thing. It’s so small and compact but full of power. Only limitation is the space. Get an external SSD to move games back and forth and it will help a lot!

The Little Console That Could
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this console. You get a lot for only $300. Quick Resume is a great feature, although it doesn't always work and some games don't support it. Like previous Xbox consoles, the controllers use double-A batteries which is good in that you can always replace the batteries unlike Playstation controllers. Also, the amount of old Xbox games available on the online store thanks to backwards compatibility is arguably the strongest selling point of Microsoft's platform. My biggest complaint is the lack of internal storage and the fact you have to pay $219 to buy one specific memory card in order to upgrade, whereas PS5 gives you options.

Pleasantly surprised and satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it only because the series X is harder to find than Atlantis, but I’m very glad we did. It is significantly faster than previous gen and games that are optimized for series s/x look amazing!!!

Little beast that will get so much better with age
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best Xbox option. The value is unmatched and games look good even on a 4k display. With AMD FSR coming to games this will be the BEST purchase for next gen Xbox titles.
