I've been using this as a second xbox that's connected to my monitor of my work desk. I use a Mac for work but when I want to take a break, I switch my display to the xbox and I can game immediately. It's small, unobtrusive and serves as my primary gaming device when I'm playing games solo. I have a separate Xbox Series X in my family room attached to the TV which serves as my primary party/media consumption device. Only thing to note is that you can't be logged into xbox live with the same account on both devices at the same time. It will log you out of the other device.

I was skeptical about getting one because I already had a PS5 but wanted this Series S for Gamepass and Emulation. Oh my what an aamzing device! I even bought the OG MW2 and been playing backwards compatibility games. You will not regret this little machine! I have also been playing a lot of PS2 games on this unit through developer mode. Must buy!!

This system is perfect for your kids and really runs a lot of games very well. That said, digital games and family sharing is a giant pain to set up and most issues would be avoided with physical games. Problem one, you can’t own two copies of Minecraft and play them simultaneously under one family. But you can play them if the consoles aren’t tied to the family but then you lose the live access that a family can share. If you join family for Gamepass you can’t play the game simultaneously but both consoles have live access. Now I have 2 Xbox’s separated and 2 trials of Gamepass also separated so kids can play Minecraft online. My point is the digital console is great until you get into this nonsense. I was able to pick This up after Christmas even though it is not the X I am happy with how fast it is. Also the size surprised me a lot I like how small it is.

I was a PlayStation guy for a long time, but sense it is so hard to get your hands on a PS5 I bought the Xbox series S. I never owned a Xbox before so I figured I would see what it was like and see if I wanted to switch consul loyalties. I'm impressed with the graphics and load times, and game selection on the xbox... If it wasn't for the fact that this xbox has been malfunctioning and is starting to look like it is going to stop working ever sense I received this consul in the mail 3 days ago I would have given it 5 stars. Now i'm just hoping I didn't get a defective product and that these screeching noises followed by the consul shutting off and turn back on during game play aren't going to lead to this product fully breaking and not working anymore. (fingers crossed)

Smaller than I thought but it's a very powerful machine that runs any game smoothly.

Good console. Easiest to buy. But if you have opportunity to buy series X. It worth spend extra $200 for extra performance and storage

Fast gaming system and not as big of a system as I thought! Looks kind of like a speaker lol but loads games fast and is easy to set up.

Solid upgrade over my launch model Xbox one. Games load quickly, graphics are good enough for me (I am a casual gamer now that I am a parent).

Absolutely in love with this product! I didn’t realize it didn’t have a compartment for discs but honestly it doesn’t even matter because if you get the game pass you’re set for a long while! I got it for my fiancés birthday last year and he fell in love too! And I was hooked the moment Hogwarts came out! Ran beautifully on the console and im tempted to buy another for mommy living room

Great price for the hardware. If you are wanting a next gen console, but okay with 1440p gaming, then this is the one to get. If you have to have 4K, then you are better off going for the Series X. Otherwise, this is a great gaming console. Load times are very quick. The only thing I didn’t care for was the controller, but that is only because I have large hands. If you have large hands, then you might experience cramping after about 30 minutes or so of gaming. If this is the case, then the previous Xbox controller might be better for you since it still compatible with it.

A must have if you have Game Pass. Physical discs are a thing of the past with this console. Small size but powerful little system.
