A Powerhouse Console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another hit by Microsoft. The latest Next-Gen Xbox console is a beast of a powerhouse. To get the full benefit of this wonderful machine, plug it into a 4k or UHD TV. Mine is in a 65" Samsung. Graphics are incredible. Boot up speed in lightening fast. It is bigger than the Xbox 1 and Xbox 1x. Boy not too big I did sit mine horizontal instead of vertical. Less chance of it getting knocked over. Plus, it fits better where I wanted it to go. But it can go either way as there are plenty of vents to cool of the console.

The Best Xbox Yet, held back by the series S
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for the best Xbox experience with both normal games and games with the highest graphical fidelity and have a 4k hdr TV this is the console to pick if you can. If your using a 1080p TV the Series S is a great option. The only potential criticism of this console has nothing to do with the Series X its self rather its due to microsoft releasing two separate Xbox consoles at the same time with different specs, this leads many developers to develop their game to Series S specs as opposed to taking advantage of all the Series X power and capability. The result is there are many games who don't truly take advantage of the Series X specs. This issue really started last generation where the xbox released the Xbox One X which had similar issues in that if a game was optimized for it, it was amazing but most games were not. On the playstation side game devs only have to develop to one spec the ps5 which makes it easier for them to optimize for that hardware. Of course this is not a a ps5 review. Overall I am very pleased with the Series X it is a solid console with a great controller and more storage than the series S although I never had storage issues with the series S as long as you have an available internet connection. In the future I would like to see Xbox drop the two console spec approach but really I can't complain. The Series X is simply the best xbox ever created.

Just do it you know you want it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be 100%. I upgraded if you would say from an Xbox One X. From last gen to this gen I was say I'm the most disappointed because I feel like I got nothing except for a faster machine with better graphics but don't get me wrong I love the performance and graphics now I can take full advantage of my way too expensive TV. But going from playing call of duty vengeance on the One X and now on the series X the only difference is speed performance and graphics which is what it was meant for. I'm in my late 40s I've been an Xbox fan since the Xbox I even had the internet adapter and all of that that did absolutely nothing but I had to have it. I stood in line for 14 hours to buy the Xbox 360 in 05' And I proceeded to buy Three of them. I've proceeded to purchase every generation after that. Previously in the prior generation releases it was a totally different console and different game that did not play on the previous generation console. So what I'm saying is that it's just an upgraded console and the games are optimized for the new console I understand the games are now going to be produced and the standard format for the new console which makes common sense. But don't get me wrong I did purchase it and I do love it and I do use it every single day and I'm using it right now watching YouTube. It allows me to utilize my way too expensive TV and all of the great picture quality graphics I'm old give me a break. Lol I love it. I'm just a tad disappointed that it wasn't the same kind of totally different console it was just like a upgraded console that can now play games of with better graphics and performance. That's all I'm done. I don't even know why you read this you know you want one you just can't get one I was lucky. Keep trying I was addicted I looked everyday probably 10 times a day reading articles that had updated availabilities if you want it you'll put in the time and the effort and you'll get one. And do not buy one off of eBay for any market because you can get one no matter a fact after I got mine from Best buy I got an offer from GameStop I had to turn down. Keep trying Good luck. A.k.a. Greatest console ive owned
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics on this console is incomparable! I also own a PS5 but the Xbox is definitely alot more user friendly. My best recommendation is too purchase additional storage on day one, with better graphics games tend to take a little more space than before. Also the Microsoft elite controller 2 is the best controller ive owned

Best next gen console.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best console. Next gen graphics, expandable storage, game pass, quick resume. The Microsoft ecosystem is the best in gaming and only getting better. Took one star off because there really is no reason to upgrade to next gen yet, but if you can afford it it’s a must buy. In a year from now when more next gen games are available it will be a 5 start experience.

9.5/10 Amazing console. It puts out A LOT of heat!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: worth the money, will likely run future games great and look great for the next 6 years, SSD is wicked fast but is also small and needs more memory, puts out A LOT of heat. Fantastic console. Big heads up... IT PUTS OUT A LOT OF HEAT! Pros: •Super fast and powerful gaming system, •Super quiet even when running games at 4K 60fps, •Same operating system as the Xbox One line so everything is backwards compatible, •Memory is a SSD so load times are extremely fast for most games (for reference: Skyrim load times are so short I can’t finish reading a single sentence on the loading screens). •ray tracing is amazing and makes a world of difference. •FPS is usually locked at what you want it to be in most scenarios so I don’t really notice frame rate drops that often. •performance rivals gaming computers (desktops) in the $1200 range. •will likely be able to have no problems running the next 5-8 years of advancements in gaming and graphics while still looking amazing which is the main reason I dropped the $500. •upgraded WiFi card in the console so download speeds aren’t capped at 80mbps anymore (I downloaded a 16gb update in 8 minutes at 230mbps when I pay for a 300mbps plan and my roommate is playing his Xbox at the same time.) CONS: •puts out A LOT of heat... like similar to a space heater (do not even think about putting the console in an entertainment system or shelf unless you cut holes in the back where the intakes are and give the exhaust at least 8” of clearance and angled so the exhaust is pointed a little away (like 10-15 degrees) from the shelf. Not a problem if it is standing upright on top of something with nothing above it or blocking the vents.) •it uses the old operating system so it doesn’t feel new unless you use the dynamic moving backgrounds for the Home Screen. •a lot of games are still not optimized/don’t take full advantage of the new hardware and technology so quick resume, high frame rates, and 4K are not available on a lot of games (but that’s an issue with Microsoft and the other games, not with the console). •it has a 1 terabyte SSD which isn’t a lot of space for modern day and future games, so either buckle down and buy the 1tb SSD expansion card for $200 or use a cheaper hard drive but forfeit the amazing loading times and other features. (A terabyte is about 1000 gigabytes, and after the operating system you only have ~840gb free. New games are usually around 50-110 gigabytes and they’re just going to get larger). •distracts me from studying and is making it hard to finish my Pre-med degree with a good gpa lol

Impressive hardware indeed!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly an impressive piece of hardware. The controller is awesome, especially the D-Pad with its nice circular corners for fighting games and the way it curves in. I was instantly impressed that it could run GTA 4 in a locked 60 FPS! Not to mention how quick and snappy the loading times are for games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA V. The setup is also painless and quick for the console! The design is nice, and the startup music is a eargasm. It’s a nice upgrade from the One X, but I only wish Halo could’ve launched with it. Anyways, it’s a great console.

More Than a Console – A Bond Between Father and So
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought the Xbox Series X, I thought I was just getting the latest and greatest gaming console. What I didn’t expect was how it would bring me and my son closer than ever. My son and I have always had a good relationship, but between work, school, and life in general, we were starting to drift into our separate routines. I wanted something we could share—something that wasn’t forced or scheduled, just a way to enjoy each other’s company again. That’s when the Xbox Series X came into our lives. From the moment we unboxed it together, it became more than just a gaming system. We stayed up late setting it up, exploring Game Pass, and picking out our first games. The joy on his face when we played Forza Horizon, the teamwork in Halo Infinite, the laughter during Minecraft—those are moments I’ll never forget. It’s become our evening ritual—an hour or two of gaming side by side, talking, strategizing, and simply enjoying being together. I’ve learned more about what’s on his mind during these sessions than in a dozen car rides or dinner table talks. The Xbox Series X gave us the gift of time together, and in today’s world, that’s priceless. It’s not just a powerful machine—it’s a bridge between generations, a source of connection, and something I’ll always be grateful for. If you're a parent considering this console, don’t just think of the specs or the games—think of the memories you’ll create. Because that’s the real win.

Xbox Series X Review
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft and Xbox have done an amazing job with the Xbox Series X. The console performs great, and the controller for this console is the best I’ve used ever. The downside I do have with this console is just the size and design of the console itself. While this console may have the design of a refrigerator it runs amazing, and I have a blast playing it.

The Odd Couple
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I walked into Best Buy looking for the ultimate gaming machine, but I’m pretty sure I walked out with a new roommate. Right out of the box, the setup was seamless. The Xbox Series X didn't just boot up; it practically took a deep breath and started stretching. The graphics are so sharp and the load times so fast that I barely had time to blink before I was in the middle of a campaign. It’s a powerhouse, a beast, and apparently... a snack enthusiast? Things took a turn for the hilarious and slightly hungry once the sun went down. This console doesn't just stay on in standby mode; it roams. I woke up this morning to find a literal single drop left in the milk carton. It was just enough to be insulting, but not enough for my cereal. To make matters worse, there were empty bags of chips scattered like confetti across the kitchen counter. I swear I even heard the faint sound of a Level Up chime coming from the fridge. In all seriousness, this is the most fun I’ve had with a console in years. It’s fast, it’s powerful, and it has way more personality than I bargained for. If you want a console that plays 4K games at 120fps and occasionally gaslights you about who finished the Doritos, look no further. Huge thanks to Best Buy for the smooth pickup. 10/10 would buy again, though I might need to start hiding the snacks in the garage.

Good Things and Bad Things!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an Xbox One X to the Series X, main reason is that One X does not have Gigabit support via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. One note to make, in the pictures, the Series X looks to be small, it is not, I had to move equipment around in my entertainment center to make room for it. I know I should have looked at the dimensions in specs, but I didn't. Not that big of an issue, just a FYI for the reader. Setup and connecting to Wi-Fi was easy enough. With the new processor games and or apps load very quickly! I did not really notice much difference between the X screens, meaning main screen and subsequent app screens and the One X. Of course, all of my cables are ultra highspeed ethernet cables, so the data throughput is about the same. In order to take advantage of the HDMI 2.1 speeds (48 Gbps) your TV and AV receiver must have HDMI 2.1 inputs and you must have HDMI 2.1 HDMI cables. In my case, my tv and receiver and cables are HDMI 2 hence the screens not looking that much different than the One X. I really did not want to spend several thousand dollars to upgrade my TV, AV receiver and cables so I settled for HDMI 2. BTW, the Series X does come with 1 HDMI 2.1 highspeed cable, one less for you to buy if you upgrade your equipment. Another issue I found, Wi-Fi speeds. My internet connection is 1.4Gbps; when I connected the Series X to Wi-Fi, my download speeds were in the 200 or less Mbps range, usually less. For reference, I have a Netgear Orbi 960 802.11ax Mesh Wi-Fi6 system with speed tests showing 1,400+Mbps (1.4Gbps). I spent several hours on the phone with Xbox support and Netgear. Xbox had no solutions, NexGear's response was... "Please be informed that the Xbox Wi-Fi client is not an AX, it is only an AC. This could be the issue since they are under a different protocol as advised by the expert from the higher department. The Orbi System is operating in AX (Wi-Fi6)" I think there are other issue with Wi-Fi on the Series X as I have a 2019 Dell laptop, 802.11ac, speed tests show 580Mbps + download and a 2016 vintage Samsung tablet that has download speeds in the 250Mbps +. A 6-year tablet that downloads faster than a state-of-the-art Xbox Series X? I did connect a Cat8 50-foot ethernet cable to the Series X and got 750Mbps download. Problem is it would be very difficult to run an ethernet cable from my router to the Xbox, too many walls to go through. I cannot simply leave the cable on the floor, 2 reasons, 1. It would not look good and 2. My dog would have the cable in pieces sooner than later. If you are not willing to spend thousands of dollars upgrading your TV and AV receiver to HDMI 2.1 and are willing to settle for the same resolution you would have with HDMI 2, and the slower download speeds via Wi-Fi, take the plunge. If you already have HDMI 2.1 you are halfway there, you just have to deal with the slower downloads. You might have different results with another type of a Wi-Fi system meaning no 802.11ax or Wi-Fi 6 because the Series X does not support either. One last thing, when I was connected via ethernet, and tried to download game updates, it started at 500+Mbps download but within a minute or less I was downloading at 1.5Mbps slowing to Kbps on and off. 100GB download, 3 days! Xbox servers might have been really busy, I checked online, Xbox said up and running no problems, but nothing about server load. That's it, hope this helps anyone looking to buy or upgrade.

Still kicking and perfect gaming console
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an avid gamer for many years, and I've owned a number of different consoles over the years. When the Microsoft Xbox Series X was released a few years ago, I was immediately interested. I had heard great things about its powerful hardware and its support for next-generation games. I decided to purchase the Xbox Series X, and I've been very impressed with it ever since. The console is incredibly fast, and it can easily handle even the most demanding games. The graphics are also stunning, and I've been blown away by how realistic some of the games look. In addition to its powerful hardware, the Xbox Series X also has a number of other great features. The controller is very comfortable to hold, and it has a number of new features that make gaming more immersive. The console also supports a wide range of accessories, so you can customize your gaming experience to your liking. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the Microsoft Xbox Series X. It's a powerful console with great features that will make you love gaming even more. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Xbox Series X: **Pros:** * Powerful hardware that can handle even the most demanding games * Stunning graphics * Comfortable controller with new features * Wide range of accessories * Support for next-generation games * Quick resume feature allows you to pick up where you left off in multiple games * Smart Delivery ensures that you always have the best possible version of a game, regardless of the console you're playing on **Cons:** * Expensive * No disc drive (digital-only version only) * Can be noisy when running demanding games * Lack of some exclusive games compared to the PlayStation 5 Overall, the Xbox Series X is a great console that offers a powerful gaming experience with stunning graphics. It's perfect for gamers who want the best possible performance and features. However, it is expensive and lacks some exclusive games compared to the PlayStation 5.
