Loving it so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can totally tell the difference already from the one x. Runs really great. It’s really quite and the controller feels a little different but in good ways. It is very big though so make some space for it.

Best Deal in Gaming?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As of February 2021 the following statements are simple objective truths. The Series X comes with the largest hard drive of the three main console manufactures. Microsoft is the only manufacturer allowing the use of the previous generation’s controllers. Microsoft is the only manufacturer allowing backwards compatibility for two or more generations of games. If you consider hard drive space a commodity or a second controller mandatory the Series X is cheaper than its direct competitor while offering similar in game performance on latest gen games. These are all facts. The following is purely opinion based. The two best features currently unique to the XBOX are its ability to upscale older games to HDR10, and the ability to rapidly switch between different digital games with quick resume. The upscaling and rock solid frame rate on older games add something to them that is hard to quantify. It’s not perfect and on some games can be jarring but I have yet to have a bad experience with it and have been really impressed with the effect on Geometry Wars and Battlefront 2(2005). Quick Resume does not get enough credit. Taking a quick break from one game to play another sounds like a small deal. It really is not. Quick resume does not lock in the user. It allows multiple people to play games on the same console without closing the other person’s game. Want to play some multiplayer with your kid and not close your current single player epic? Go for it. Have three kids ranging in age from Lego to Resident Evil? Not as much of a problem. There are a few bad things to say about the XBOX. First, online play currently requires an XBOX live or Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Game Pass is often toted as “the best deal in gaming” and I would recommend trying it out for at least a month to any XBOX owner but this is a draw back. It’s also one shared by Microsoft’s competitors so this is more of a heads up for anyone fresh to the console gaming scene. The second is the proprietary hard drive expansion. Current gen games are monstrous in size and not getting smaller any time soon, they also require onboard SSD storage to run. The days of loading all of a consoles games on a single cheap external hard drive are gone. Now properly managing data storage is a necessary skill as older games (XBOX, XBOX 360, and XBOX ONE titles) can run off of cheaper external hard drives or SSDs while Series X/S titles must be loaded on the internal hard drive or the proprietary external card. To be fair, Microsoft’s closest gaming competitor has this issue as well and currently has their internal storage expansion disabled pending approved hardware arriving on market. If you have to buy from approved vendors only, it might as well be easy to install. Xbox Series X/S consoles do not have as bad of an exclusive games problem as people often say it is. Every professional reviewer in the world has felt the need to hammer on the lack of exclusives. Microsoft knows this. It’s already being fixed. Was being fixed before anyone outside the company knew it was a problem. XBOX owns some of the best game design companies in the worlds these days. The exclusives are in development and the multiplatform games are coming constantly. Series X enhanced titles are surprisingly common and are typically good if you want some eye candy in the meantime. Finally XBOX stock controllers do not come with built in rechargeable batteries. Anyone familiar with how short the life can be on these should consider this a perk. There are Xbox 360s still in service today because the controllers can use batteries or have their rechargeable battery pack swapped out. TLDR: The Series X is the best deal in gaming.

Love the Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fast and quiet! I love how Forza Horizon 4 looks optimized for series X. Load times are amazing and I have all my older games on external hard drive. I purchased the Seagate expansion card as well.

Next Gen is now the Current Gen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend upgrading to the Xbox Series X. The load times for next gen games is extremely quick compared to the Xbox one. I upgraded from an Xbox One X and as far as the picture quality goes, the difference is minimal. This will change once developers utilize the Xbox Series X increased power. You will see a significant increase in overall performance if upgrading from the Xbox one. I’ve enjoyed the few next gen games available and look forward to all the Xbox Series X exclusives being released in 2021. I’ve had zero problems transferring my games via network transfer. The transfer speeds were very quick. If you’re able to upgrade, do yourself a favor and update to the next gen console.

Great Console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my series X for about a month now, and I do not regret my purchase. There might not be a lot of exclusives out now, but there are a good amount of series X enhanced games out at the moment. The performance is stunning. The graphics upgrade looks great. The reason I’m giving this console a rating of four out of five stars is because the console does get hot while running some more high end games. This is with constant usage.

Great Follow up to the One X
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s the Series X. I got super lucky and got one by randomly asking about it when I came to buy a née Xbox one x controller. It has the same interface and presentation as the last generation but has added features such as -quick resume: you can pause a game, start a totally new game, pause that new game and go back to your other paused game. So far I have done this on at least 3 or 4 games. -BC: backwards compatibility is a strong suit of the X box. I’m glad that I can still play games from the Xbox 360 era. Overall a great system. It runs quietly and has a neat, simple aesthetic to its appearance. I am hoping it gets some great games released for it.

Fast, looks amazing, hot literally
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing i noticed about this console is how fast loading times are. Theres few things that van ruin a game than to be staring at a loading screen. This console is fixes that. I hardly have time to unlock my phone before it finishes loading. And the graphics look amazing on my OLED screen. I really saw the difference going from the One X to the Series X. But this console isnt without its problems. All that processing power creates a ton of heat. My room will be 80-90 degrees after a couple hours. If the ambient temp gets that hot the console with overheat and power off abrubptly. Other than that its a good gaming unit.

Great for gaming and as a media device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a few issues and two lock ups requiring a reboot when trying to exit older games. Overall I am impressed with the responsiveness and load times. It makes an awesome device for media consumption. Kodi runs natively as every streaming service I have including Spectrum which only supports this and Apple TV. I have connected a Thrustmaster TMX wheel and it works great. especially the force feedback. It runs VERY hot so it needs plenty of air around it. Also a great 4K UHD blu-ray player. Not too happy with many steps it takes to completely close a game or and app. This is my first Xbox since I switched from a PS4 and I am impressed.

Coming from a serious gamer…
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 Stars as per usual for Xbox. I’ve had the Series X for a few years now and have had absolutely 0 issues with it whatsoever. I ended up purchasing this one for my girlfriend as an upgrade to her Xbox One X. The 1TB of space is more than enough space for anyone wondering. Graphics are great and console never runs slow, overheats, or anything.

This console lives up to the hype!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In every sense, the Xbox Series X is leaps and bounds ahead of my old Xbox One S in terms of performance, graphics, and overall user experience. The backward compatibility with older titles is a blessing as well; even though I spend less and less time with older Xbox One and 360 games, it’s nice to know that I have the option. The new controller feel and grip are fantastic - it took a moment of getting used to, but it feels better in my hands than the previous generation did (already the gold standard, in my opinion). It was well worth the hassle of standing in line in the middle of the night for a chance to get one!

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I've had an amazing experience with this item. Such a far improvement over the xbox one. The internet connection is better because of the better reciever on the new xbox x series, so my games run smoother online. As well as better video quality in game with minimum to no lag. I definitely recommend this item to others!

Love this console
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best Xboxes made, it’s a powerhouse and the support of VRR and 120 hz is phenomenal. The controller is so comfortable and responsive. I am team Xbox all the way especially because they make controllers for disabled people, options for color blind, voice activation features and more because they want everyone to share in the gaming community equally and enjoy being part of the community!

Great hardware, released way too soon.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lack of games and a user interface that makes me wonder if Microsoft even tried make the Xbox Series X a tough sell for all but the most hardcore Xbox fanboys. The hardware itself is brilliant. It’s powerful, boots quick, and is nearly silent. It can be displayed vertically or horizontally, but looks best in its vertical position if I’m honest. The controller is a nice revolution of the already decent Xbox One controller, but doesn’t stand out as anything special. I give the system 3 stars because the UI is just bad. It’s confusing and makes it difficult to do anything. The blu-ray player app, which has to be downloaded from the App Store hasn’t been updated since 2016 and has major comparability issues with Blu-ray Discs (4K and regular). Enabling Dolby Atmos support requires downloading an app from the App Store and works inconsistently at best. And, my last major gripe is the lack of software. While you can play most Xbox and Xbox 360 titles as well as all Xbox One titles, the system suffers a lack of exclusive titles that show off the power of this fancy new system. All the games are also available for PC or other platforms, which makes the system a must own if and only if you don’t have a PC and can only afford one console...
