Getting straight to the cons, the achilles heel of this console against the PS5 in terms of desirability is the lack of platform exclusives because of how many titles it shares with PC, but this is also this console's strength against the PS5. It has the equivalent performance of specs of a 2080 Super Ryzen 7 3700x gaming desktop, which many know is a factor of times more expensive than the Series X, which also means this console is spec'd to perform nearly 20% better than the PS5 in equivalent titles. The console's form factor is also much more compact and sensible than that of the PS5, which I think people underestimate too much when picking between consoles because even if you get lucky enough to get one of these it still has to fit wherever you need it to, which the PS5 definitely cannot do as well as the XSX. Lastly and most importantly, the XSX is much, much easier to find in stock and at MSRP at local retailers than the PS5, at least currently. Based on my local store's stats if you are checking each day of the weekend for a month you should be able to get your hands on one within a few weeks, which is very doable and convenient relatively.

Xbox has continued to listen to it's fans and this console is the latest in a number of moves to position it as the industry leader. Super fast load times, better graphics, and an amazing library thanks to gamepass make this a great console to own now and in the future. Pros: - Super fast load times. Coming from an Xbox One S the difference is incredible. - Smoother gameplay, menus, everything - Last generation games are consistently being optimized - Console has a cool design and 4K Blu-ray player. It can work vertically or horizontal. Cons: - While xbox continues to optimize last generation games there is still a lack of exclusives. Gamepass and multiple free-to-play games such Apex Legends help as I already have too many games to play, but it would be nice to have games to be as excited about as Spiderman or God of War. - Console is large. While I like the design and shape it doesn't fit in my entertainment center upright (vertical) so I have to lay it on its side which I don't like the look of quite as much. Overall I'm very excited to own this console. This console release feels a bit odd due to the shortage of consoles and "different" leap forward compared to past launches but so far the next generation is looking very promising.

My Xbox One lasted the expected 10-12 years and finally gave out with the white screen of death. I needed a new version and Best Buy had what I needed over every other competitor stores. Everyone was out except Best Buy. What makes have what you need In stock even better was the finance options when opening up a credit card. No money up front and no interest for one year. Best purchase!!!!

So far so good! This console feels like a GREAT addition to the lineup of already great Xbox consoles improving the overall experience by focusing on games and new features like a quick resume, and very quick loading through their SSD in a fairly compact design. GAME PASS also allows you to join the Microsoft gaming ecosystem at a very affordable price with no downside other than your games backlog might grow even more. The controller is a very subtle improvement from the previous-gen controller though the differences can be felt once they are compared side by side. A plus with the controller as well, if you don't like the changes they made you can literally use the previous-gen controller no problem. This philosophy is also seen in how game data like your saves and upgraded versions of your games are ported to this console. This meaning you can pretty much start right where you left off if you owned a game on the Xbox before you will be able to play it on this console. Now at the time of this review, the only knock on the console is you won't be finding any Xbox exclusives that are tied only to this console. But other than that this console is a quick and easy way to have video games ready to be plaed in your living room or bedroom set up.

I am in love with this console! Higher visual quality compared to my Xbox one! Definitely worth the price especially with a game pass subscription.Quick start up, games load fast and the beta cloud gaming is an amazing feature that is definitely going to change the future of gaming. Storage of games is wild especially with the cloud gaming feature since you don’t have to download and use up that space for some games you just want to try out. Highly recommend this product if you are looking for an upgraded Xbox one. I have an elite controller so I don’t really use the one included but it comes with batteries so it’s good for a starter controller if this is your first Xbox.

Upgraded for the dvd player. Now I’m just filling space because it’s making me.

I have a ps5, i have to say xbox knocked it out of the park on series x, game pass is a awesome, I've owed ever xbox console in rhe past, but this is a beast, couldn't be happier, xbox for life,the console runs cool and quiet, don't wait get one

I got this console so my son has something to play whe visits. The graphics and speed on the console is superb. Because of this console, we were able to buy a SIM racing rig for racing games and play flight simulator. This console provided an upgrade to our entertainment area and I’d reccomend it if are looking for a source of entertainment for guests. Additionally, the console allows you to have streaming apps and browse the internet. If you are looking to buy this for your kids, consider getting gamepass so they can download as many games as they can and an expansion SSD from either seagate or WD.

An upgrade from my Best Buy XBOX One purchased from 2014 with both subtle and noticeable graphic presentation detail. Even games with Dolby Vision compatibility looks more detail. The bundle package with Game Pass Ultimate introduce me to a big library games including Forza 5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Great Xbox, so far no issues. Easy to use and set up. Does not over heat

This was a great purchase. It’s everything I like about Xbox only better than before. The game store which is accessible from the console is so convenient. You can download new game right to the hd, or play online. It’s got a couple streaming apps built in and move from streaming movies gaming is extremely fast.

This system is a huge step up from the previous generation xbox for many reasons. - Super quiet even after longer gaming sessions: the installed fan does a great job during play and also quickly cools the system down after longer gaming sessions - Note: Some reports surfaced of "smoke" from the fan and have been proved false. There is no smoke coming from the top of the device. - Load times are amazing: system startup is clean and fast, load times to start a game are fast, and load times within games are exponentially faster than the Xbox One. - Graphics are fantastic on an HD or other TV, but are dramatically improved when connecting to a 4k TV (and connecting to a 4k TV is system recognized and asks if you would like to update settings with one simple click) - Large power supply box and plug are a thing of the past: The power chord and HDMI chord included are streamlined and system setup is a breeze - Connecting an Xbox One controller or new Series X controller is fast and efficient. If the controller needs an update the system recognizes and then in one click the install is installed - The design of the system and the controller are a positive as well. The device itself is sleek, clean, and doesn't distract from any room design.

Loved upgrading from the Xbox one. I still wear through the controllers too often as they develop the stick drift. I also do not find the quick resume to be helpful when playing online games. I have to stop the game for it to properly reconnect to the servers. I bought this one for the optical drive, but I really didn’t need anything more than the series s specs.
