Backwards compatibility for all (most) Xbox games on disc or digital. I really like the Series X in its own. PS5 is awesome too so this isn't about one or the other.

I managed to get this during a 3am restock. There haven't been any amazing exclusives so far, but the games are quite good. Games definitely play and look better the on the One X. I do still prefer the PS5 UI over the Series X UI, but the Series X has the advantage of being able to support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (with recent updates) which is great for movie lovers. Also, as a Sonos user, it is useful to have the Series X's ability to convert DTS audio to Dolby, although, it does take some adjustments in the settings. The controller also seems to be less prone to developing stick drift than the PS5 controller. My PS5 controller developed stick drift within 1~1 1/2 months of use and needed to be replaced (fairly heavy gaming), but the Series X controller is still going strong (albeit with less use). A last note: if you plan on taking advantage of the 120hz/variable refresh rate then you will need a newer model tv that supports it (I have an LG CX).

The Xbox Series X is an odd console to review. It’s certainly great in performance with support for 4K 120Hz HDR and improves performance of all games new and old, but as of now it lacks that “wow” factor that really makes it stand out compared to the older Xbox One X. I’ll admit I originally wanted the PS5 but settled for the Xbox due to lack of supply, but when I say that I mean it in terms of innovation, such as how the PS5’s new controller makes games more immersive with it’s dynamic triggers and rumble motors and a lineup of games both current and speculative based on the studios Sony has that just seem more fun. Looking back at Xbox’s history, there aren’t many unique games and franchises that I can think of; Halo, Gears of War, and Forza are the only major ones that I cared for, and even then those were all basically the same game. Fortunately it seems that Microsoft might actually care about delivering on exclusives this time around with its many studio acquisitions.

I was excited to get the XBOX Series X because i wanted to play on my OLED HDR 4k TV. I currently play Mortal Kombat 1 and it looks absolutely beautiful.

If you are trying to find a reason to compare this to PS5, leave this review. This ain't for you and won't be some "console war" type review telling you why the other sucks. The Series X is a proper powerhouse and testament to Microsoft's commitment to gaming. From amazing graphics to Quick resume, this system delivers the experience you expect from a next-gen console. GamePass is nothing short of the greatest deal to ever hit the videogame industry, for a small cost monthly getting access to hundreds of games that would cost you substantially more if you were to purchase them all separately. With Microsoft currently acquiring more and more studios, the future of games available on Series X will be exceptional, with Halo Infinite releasing in November. If you are looking for a console with performance gaming as its main focus with s huge library of current and future games, this console will not disappoint.

Are you really reading this review? This is the Xbox Series X. The machine is a powerhouse of gaming console. If you want to play games at 4K/60fps, the only other option under $500 is the PS5. and who doesn't want both if they can get both? If you cant, or you are wondering which to get first -- and somehow pure luck of availability isn't you deciding factor -- then look no further. Games Pass Ultimate has such a variety of games to play (at an annual cost of two AAA titles). Play game pass games on the Series X, and you will have a beautiful experience. ... Now let me be honest. I got lucky to be able to buy this mini fridge. I got it for Destiny 2. and it would have been worth it even if that were the only game I play. Since I am also a fan of Halo, I will be filling up my 1tb SSD fast. I have to say: the fact that Microsoft went with a proprietary NVME SSD slot was the right call. Its super easy to expand SSD storage.

The Series X is a phenomenal console. I’ve had every generation of Xbox and the Xbox exclusives have taken many hours from me that I thoroughly enjoyed. Needless to say, the Series X is by far the best Xbox console to have been made and the ability to play older games on it via disc is an awesome feature as well.

This console is the truth. The faster load times and the quick resume functions are definitely a highlight for the console. One thing for anyone who’s new to the console needs to keep in mind that for games that are optimized for the Series X/S storage can be guzzled up quick if you’re not careful, currently on my console’s internal drive I have 7 optimized games on there and I’ve got roughly less that 150GB of free space left so if you have a lot of games that are optimized for the series X/S you may wanna invest in the Storage Expansion card from Seagate so that way you got extra space to spare and you’re still getting those enhanced features as you’ll only get them if they’re on the console’s internal drive or the Expansion card. It’s definitely a nice upgrade from my Xbox One X and it was rather easy to get from here so I’m all Likelihood I’ll probably get my PS5 from here as well if I can luck out on one. If you’re looking to upgrade your Xbox One this console is definitely worth it

Definitely the console with all the QOL (Quality of Life) improvements a a gamer could want. Cold boots in seconds, quick resume multiple games, works through reboots! Auto HDR and graphic improvements on older games. Old EA titles like BF4 now run in 120FPS! Its actually insane how much this system improves older games - something I only experienced on the PC side of gaming before. And in raw performance, loading, graphics and everything else, very is similar to PS5 in the games I've tried, though VRR makes a big difference, no screen tearing on the Xbox any more - frames look glorious on a 4k monitor. I Have both Xbox and PS5 and the Xbox is winning my time hands down (though gamepass is a big reason for this). If it weren't for backward PS4 VR compatability I wouldn't be playing on my PS5 nearly as much (not buying any more $70 games anytime soon - what are they thinking, I'll play Demon Souls in two years when its on sale or on plus or something)

Love it! I have both the series X and ps5 love em both but find myself playing the series X more just for the Microsoft rewards alone. You earn points just for playing your Xbox completing in game trophy’s also completing daily, weekly and monthly Xbox achievements. Points rack up fast combined with bing daily rewards points it’s super easy to complete the daily activities. Looking foward to future with Microsoft, they’ve been acquiring so many gaming developers to build a better exclusive catalog.

The Xbox is an amazing value, especially since i don't have to buy any expensive games, game pass is worth it call of duty/ racing/ all EA sports for a monthly fee you can cancel anytime, microsoft is on to something here, anyone reading this who can't decide, especially parents, pick the xbox it is a much better deal, and im a life long playstation fan, and yes playstation has better exclusives but xbox better value and there gaming studio portfolio is getting bigger so xbox eventually will win the race lol
