First off, I'm super shocked I even got one. Best Buy had (what seemed) to be a fantastic way to thwart off most bots. Now on to the Hardware. I am very aware about the PS vs Xbox console war going on, and don't get me wrong, I would have settled with either this year. However, I am secretly blessed I got the Series X. I switched over to Xbox about 10 years and have not looked back yet, until almost this year, but the gaming gods brought this back in my house again. I am so pleased with the way this thing runs. 1st, and most impressive, is how quiet it is. Mine does sit on its side in a cabinet TV stand and my last one would spin up when it gets a little warmer in there, but this guy does not make a sound. I love it. Now of course, the performance. We all have seen the what this baby is packed it, and oh boy, it does not disappoint. AT ALL. The load times are almost magical. I still love how I can shut off the machine, and log back in (even a week later) and it jumps right into my game, literally right where I left it. My character is still chilling in the same spot waiting for me to continue, like I never even left. I know the games are still catching up to the technology, but I'm glad I'm ready for what it does. With that being said, the games that are supported for this series, are absolutely B-E-A-utiful. Microsoft really have outdone themselves this time with the design, hardware, and price point. I love it. Ill continue to ride this train!

First thing you will notice is the speed of this system. System start up as well as game load times have been dramatically reduced. The console itself, while looking large, is actually a good size due to the small footprint while standing vertically. It is silent, engineered with optimum air flow to keep the console cool even with the most demanding games. Overall this generation of consoles definitely delivers, especially at this price point. Being able to run 240 FPS, 4K and HDR for $500 is seriously fantastic. My only gripe was the missing second HDMI port that I previously used to watch TV and game using the same source on my TV. I imagine they did this because the majority of users did not use this feature and it probably saves on RAM, not having to run this feature in the background. Overall, extremely happy with this console and I can’t wait to see what games developers are able to put out using this new hardware.

I put off buying the Xbox series X for a couple years now. I have a PlayStation 5, but the multiplayer games, and game pass, are all way better on Xbox. After getting attached to the quick load times of the ssd, I can never go back to the platter drives. I still have the Xbox One, and it's now going into retirement because the load times seem unbearable now.

    Mind-Boggling Performance

It’s truly mind-boggling how powerful and fun this console is. It runs like a total champ and all of the games, even the ones that are technically unoptimized for it, at the very least feel like they’ve received a boost in performance and definitely have much faster load times. The hardware is just that impressive. Plus, there’s the legendary Xbox backwards compatibility feature granting you access to playing a great deal of Xbox 360 and original Xbox games on this new system giving you four generations of games to choose from on one machine. The cherry on top is that it can double as a 4K Blu-ray movie player which is fantastic if you’re like me and still enjoy a good movie on disc every now and again. It is not as good of a Blu-ray player as a dedicated box used just for Blu-ray, but it’s more than adequate and it’s great that they give you the option and that it’s one of the more relatively affordable ways to get into the world of 4K Blu-ray. Do yourself a favor and buy it the very next time it’s in stock. I know the only regret you’ll have is you didn’t (or couldn’t cause it’s been in really short supply) get it sooner!

    Xbox Series X Review

This is my first Xbox since the original. Since then I've been primarily in the PlayStation ecosystem. With this being a new generation of course you're going to see improvements but I just have to say WOW! JUST a few things that stand out about the Xbox Series X is; -Load times: You've heard the hype, it's legit. Games you're used to working a part-time job during load screens (Ahem Witcher/GTA/AC) -Speed; All the way around this is just zippy. From menu navigation to jumping around through multiple apps, everything just flies. -Game performance; My TV is only 60hz so I can't speak on 120fps however everything I've booted up on this thing has worked flawlessly. You really can see the difference in smoothness and you get the added bonus of lower latency. -Sound - So my PS4 Pro literally sounded like a jet whenever I'd boot up my fav AAA game, it was so loud. The X however is so quiet even under stress that you'll have to put your ear right next to it to even hear the fans are on and aside from a steady stream of warm (not hot) air it stays cool as can be. Why doesn't my laptop run this quiet and cool??? :) There are plenty of other reasons why I love this console but I won't bore you with a novel of a review. My recommendation though, if you've been looking at an Xbox X and you have the opportunity to get it, do so, you will not be disappointed.

Blessed to have one, as far as Best Buy online shopping was concerned, the system kept crashing due to a lot of traffic so it was frustrating but the system itself is what we’re talking about here. For anyone on the fence some things to consider is that you’ll need a powerful tv in order to reap all the benefits for what the Xbox series x can do. So unless you have a tv that supports 4K 120 FPS you won’t notice any graphical increase, at least not enough for a avg social gamer. If you are buying a TV make sure you ask or do your research for a tv that can supports HDMI 2.1, I play on a Samsung Q80T and it supports everything besides Dolby Vision. OLED TVs are superior, but consider “burn in” if you game for long periods of time. If you buy the tv or this Xbox you will future proof your gaming for the upcoming generation. Something else to know is very little games actually do 4K 120fps and most won’t be doing it anytime soon so if you’re on a budget you will be fine for the next couple of years with a cheaper alternative such as the series S or the one X. Great system for the money. For the bigger gamers No I don’t have any smoking or heating issues, Xbox is silent, load times are ridiculously fast, I have not seen quick resume yet idk if I just need to go to settings or if it isn’t released yet, I haven’t needed it cause every game loads up almost instant but no quick resume tab on the top like a lot of the reviewers had. Overall the system has been fantastic!

    Amazing Console

The Xbox Series X is simply an amazing console: Immense power. Beautiful graphics. A familiar UI. Games that chugged on the Xbox One with long loading screens, lower FPS, and annoying lag run so smoothly now. And the 4K picture and vibrant colors make it impossible to look away from the screen. As for Quick resume, it’s something that I can’t imagine being without now. It does take literally only seconds to switch between entirely different games. Even if you have to load a game from scratch though, the Series X does that in no time either. And it’s absolutely worth mentioning how fantastic it is how ALL of my Xbox One and 360 games just seamlessly work on the Series X. Xbox always does a fantastic job with backwards compatibility, even bringing some of the performance upgrades to those older games. For “cons,” sure the storage gets used up pretty quickly, but there’s still more usable space than the PS5 and an external drive solves the issue right away. Overall, if you’re on the fence about switching to next-gen, go for it. The upgrade is absolutely worth it, especially for all the new games on the horizon.

The Xbox One X is a remarkably powerful console that stands as a testament to Microsoft's dedication to gaming excellence. Boasting a robust 6 teraflop GPU, it delivers stunning 4K visuals and a seamless gaming experience. Games like "Forza Horizon 4" and "Gears 5" shine on this platform, with incredibly detailed environments and smoother frame rates. Its backwards compatibility is a significant advantage, offering access to a vast library of Xbox titles. However, the console's high price point and substantial size may deter some. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Xbox One X is an outstanding choice for gamers seeking top-tier performance and graphical fidelity.

The Xbox One X was easy to install on my T.V.. The speed of the XBox One X is excellent. Most of my games boot up much quicker than my older XBox One S. The picture quality of movies on my streaming services is excellent. Of course you need a 4K T.V. to view 4K movies for your information. The price could not be beat either. Considering I purchased my system on sale from Best Buy at approximately $160.00 off. The purchasing of the product went without a catch. I felt that after using my Best Buy app for the purchase, the process was quick and simple. Stepped in the store and within minutes was walking out with my new XBox one X. Thanks for the quick and easy service.

Xbox Series X plus GamePass has been a fantastic experience but it doesn't end there. The Xbox mobile app and the Gamepass mobile app are really well polished and really increases the value of the Xbox. Being able to stream games to your mobile device from your Xbox is useful when you want to get some extra quick gaming in without turning on a big screen. It's all very solid as far as experience. Back to GamePass, I'm able to sample many games, and even play them in full. If I love the game, I buy it in case it ever leave GamePass, and since now I know that any future Xbox consoles will more than likely be backwards compatible, I'm super happy. Not only that, the deals that come and go on the Microsoft Game store are plentiful, and the discounts can be very steep. I bought the entire Batman Triology updated for Series X for just $10 and also DragonAge Inquisition GOTY Edition with all DLC for just $12. This is what I call knocking it out of the ballpark. The only thing that could improve on the XSX is the outdated interface, but no doubt they are working on this, as well as haptic controller feedback. While I will still get a PS5 eventually for those exclusives, any games that are cross-platform I will will buy for Xbox and not on the Sony PS. I highly recommend buying this generation Xbox Series X!
