Love it, we upgraded from the series s to the x and we are happy with this purchase! The console is larger, but you can’t beat 4K and the capacity.

Where do I start. This is such a true next gen leap. Seeing games running at 4K 60 and even 4K 120 is just breathtaking. The attention to detail is just amazing. Not to mention, the games currently out, are not made for next gen consoles So later down the line, we will even see better quality games made for next gen. Loading times compared to last gen are night and day! Seriously! Once you go back to a last gen console, the difference is very very apparent Other than that, the controller is improved. The grip feels great on the triggers and bumpers. The share button is much more convenient than past generations. I do wish though, they had gotten rid of batteries in the controller, and switched over to a built in battery. I do also wish, Microsoft would have updated the UI. As it’s exactly the same as the one x and past iterations. Hopefully we do see an update later down the line for the UI, exclusive to the series x At the moment their aren’t too many exclusives out for the Series X. But with Microsoft’s recent acquisitions, we should be seeing a lot more down the line. If you get the chance, snag the Series X as quick as you can!

    XBOX Series X is delightful

I’m not an XBOX guy. I used to be with the 360, but when PS4 came out I went in hard on that and with all the “exclusive” Microsoft games going on PC, I didn’t have a reason to get an XBOX. With my PC having issues now after so many years of use, and with parts became scarce and expensive lately, I decided I’d track down a Series X to exercise my new big screen and play some Halo and man I’m glad I did. This thing is sweet. Super fast. You really feel that SSD doing it’s thing. Amazing display, runs quiet. It’s a great and well built machine. Also, it doesn’t seem to run that hot either. I know it’s tough to find one but if you’re into what Microsoft has to offer and a PC is out of reach, it’s worth hunting for one of these and shelling out the dough.

The ssd is the new xbox’s is super fast when trying to start the console or load games compared to the old one, quick resume (keeping games open in the background to quickly go back to them) is a super helpful and need feature when playing with friends and switching from game to game, the console also displays games amazingly whether it be in 4k 120fps or in 4k 30 or 60 fps (quality preset in some games) it looks stunning, do not regret purchasing one bit and i plan to keep this console for many many years definitely worth the upgrade

Is big. It’s beautiful. It makes my Xbox one S’s seem like Nintendo 64’s. I wasn’t even expecting a huge difference but dang if the picture isn’t pretty and the frame rate isn’t smooth. I did a two screen comparison with Minecraft dungeons (yes I know) and the old box ran at 30ish FPS while the series X was 60+. It never dipped down even in large battles. The big feature is the quick start up on everything. I completly shutdown my box go to work for 36 shift and then boot it back up with one click of the controller and my game starts up WXACTLY where I had the screen paused. That’s no startup screen. That’s no load time. The only gripe would be that it has a new was of sending signals to your tv if you want it to control the power on feature which now makes my TV unable to startup. (Controller->Box->TV->Speakers) so I’m using the remote to turn on the tv again. It’s a minor nitpick but one that should be said to people that have chain commands enabled for Alexa interface. Other then that please don’t buy it from an online scalper. Just wait and you will have yours. Good luck folks. I’ll be online when you get here.

It is very large in size, personally I prefer it in its standing position as it takes up less space than old gen laying flat. If you’re upgrading from old gen to the series X you won’t find many differences besides the much faster loading times unless you have a 4k TV or good monitor. I currently use mine on a 1080p tv, so I don’t see a difference in the visuals. All in all the product itself was packaged nicely and pick up was no issue.

Major improvement! I was concerned with things like cooling/bottlenecking given the specs that were released, but it has exceeded expectations! It will require a good TV for the optimal experience, but they are getting cheaper (Nano LG and a few other brands will offer the HDMI 2.1 and Dolby IQ Vision). One of the selling points was quick resume, but I feel like it has interfered with game play due to multiplayer servers being over/dead and the system taking me back to it upon restart. It does seem that MS has disabled the feature for incompatible games. It would be a time saving feature in certain situations i.e. campaigns ,but I play more online so it would be great to have an options menu for the feature. A few other bugs I'm sure will be worked out are Blu-Ray encoding on older versions,Sound bar+Bluetooth issues, uploading captures freezing, little stuff. I'm hearing an update is imminent! Had issues pre-ordering, site crash, getting answers about changing ship options, but BB came through -I did have to call a handful of times, but I believe someone was listening. And I did receive the console on release day! thank You Best Buy!

      Hey there,

We're glad that you were able to get your hands on Xbox Series X. It's great to hear that you're enjoying it for the most part. Not all games currently support the Quick Resume feature. To see which games have been optimized for Xbox Series X/S, check out this list: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/optimized

      Hope that helps,

It's a big boy. More or less bought out on a whim, but next gen isn't really necessary yet due to lack of exclusive games and whatnot. With that being said, it's most definitely an upgrade from Xbox One S, maybe not as much if coming from an Xbox One X. Possibly the best next gen type feature would be "Quick Resume". Combine that with Xbox Game Pass and you have a really nice one-two punch. If you currently have an Xbox One X, I don't think it's a major difference, it's just another half step from Xbox One X was to Xbox One. Coming from an original Xbox One or an Xbox One S, it seems like a better leap forward. FOMO definitely plays in to wanting an XSX or PS5, but reality is they're hard to come by (without paying absurd prices) and the reality is that it's not worth it yet. You're mostly playing Xbox One games optimized for Series X|S. Compared to PS5, I feel like XSX was more ready in term's of hardware. That was clearly evident when Marvel's Avengers released their next gen upgrade and how convoluted it was for PS5 as opposed to XSX.

The game system is as amazing as any other owner will tell you. Best buy's service, however, was exemplary! very easy to use site and, setting up in-store pick up was as flawless as walking into the shop and picking it off the shelves. the employees were wonderfully knowledgeable, polite and helpful. If you got this far, give them a visit, you will not be disappointed.
