This is a really nice system. I am a truck driver and I am able to use it everywhere I go. It keeps me occupied when i am at a stand still. The resolution is nice. Has great games. I am able to connect with whomever I'd like to play with. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome game system, superfast, large library of games and free play games with Game Pass. Only wish it came with more than 1T of storage. It does have expansion port for add SSD drive. Have 3T in mine now. All XS games require SSD for storage and play of XS games. Older version games/360 and such can use regular HD external drive for play and storage, I have a 4T personally for those. All hooked up and work seamlessly.

I have owned every single PlayStation since the original, so this is my first real foray into the Xbox world. I couldn’t decide between the Xbox and PS5, so I wound up getting both. The Xbox controller has always been my least favorite part about it, but it feels like they’ve trimmed it down so it feels better in my hands. I also like the overall look of the console. Some say it’s too basic. I like the look. I have yet to play any discs on it, but I’ve taken advantage of the insane number of awesome games in the Game Pass Ultimate library. If you can’t decide on which console to get, do some research on Game Pass. If you want even just a handful of the games in the collection, its a no brainer. And don’t forget Halo Inifinite is scheduled for release later in 2021.

This machine is amazing. Better performance than ps5, with the potential to lead the market. The device is durable and stylish, adding a bit of a technological design to your living quarters. This machine runs at a perfect 4k 120hz resolution and gives games a genuine Dolby Vision experience. It is simply the most powerful console of all time! Once Xbox gets thier game developers up to par, they will easily prevail and take over the industry.

We were finally able to get our hands on one of these consoles after more than a year and a half of long waits outside of stores/online (only for it to sell out before it came our turn) and checking online obsessively to find one in stock at retail price (as we refuse to pay double to scalpers). At first we didn't quite trust that the transaction would actually go through or that we could pick it up in store so easily (considering our past drama). However, we were easily able to add it to cart, pay and pick up in store - and all on the same day! My son was absolutely ecstatic and LOVES this new console. It's much faster than his previous Xbox and the images much more true to life. He says it was worth every penny. (Yes, he paid for it himself).

    Mid-grade PC equal

Great value at MSRP. Compared to my RTX 2080 gaming PC, the performance lands it somewhere above an RTX 2060 and below an RTX 2080. Games like Halo Infinite employ strong Dynamic Resolution that employs resolutions noticeably lower than my PC at times. Some textures are low quality in comparison too, and pop in slowly at the start of matches in Halo. Odd considering the SSD speed, and that my PC does it better with its slow hard drive. And as for CPU performance, as in FPS for 120hz compatible titles, it has worse performance than an I5-9600k with frame drops and stutters. This is comparing titles such as MW 2019 (in its current broken state) and Halo Infinite. I am hoping that game performance will improve with time, and that this is not a limitation of this console itself but instead the game software not being optimized correctly.

Pros: -Whisper Quiet -Powerful - the most powerful this generation. Expect 4k @ 60fps to be the average with ray-tracing. Games that are also on PS5 will play/look better on Xbox Series X. -Plays Xbox, 360, Xbox One, and Series X games -Plays 4K blu-rays -Dolby Vision HDR support -Great Controller -Performance is on par with high-mid tier PC that would easily cost over $1000 -Build quality is very solid Cons: -Controller isn't AS great as PS5's -Launch lineup is weak for now, but MS has invested HEAVILY in studios over the last few years so many many many AAA games are on the way. -May not feel like a massive change as UI is the same as Xbox One's.

I have been using it for about 4 hrs everyday since I've been furloughed since August. Its something new so I've been playing nonstop. It is extremely quiet. I do have to turn around to make sure its still on. Heat is minimal even with Cod cold war. Its solid and well built. I did have to move some things to a different shelf so this stands proud by itself. Quick resume is really a game changer as everyone has already stated. Load times are quick and the ui is snappy. I was a little disappointed that it was the same as my old Xbox one s. You buy into a new generation and its a little disappointing. Not a deal breaker but a letdown none the less. Controller is much the same from the last generation which basically equates to being a perfect controller. D pad is improved and the overall texture and size seems to have been improved somehow. New Exclusives are non existent right now but will come in time. I am one of those people that enjoy gamepass and what it has to offer so to each their own.

Maybe My Favorite Console So Far

This could be one of my favorite consoles of all time. It plays a majority of original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games with better performance and, in many cases, graphical enhancements. The new controller has been refined to near perfection, although it isn't much different from the Xbox One controller. It's a tiny bit smaller with added grip on the backside, a better concave d-pad and a new screenshot button. The graphics of the new games are fantastic (although it is early in the generation, so I expect massive improvements in a year or so). I also have a Playstation 5 and so far they are neck and neck in terms of performance and graphics, but I expect Xbox to pull away in terms of better looking multiplatforms games, but PS5 to have the overall better looking and playing exclusives. But Xbox could surprise us all, especially with the recent acquisition of Bethesda Software. If you have the money and love Xbox, this is a worthy upgrade to the Xbox One and even the Xbox One X.

The Xbox Series X is a powerhouse gaming console with stunning 4K visuals and up to 120 FPS. Its custom SSD ensures fast load times and quick resume features, while backward compatibility and Game Pass Ultimate offer a vast game library. With ray tracing and expandable storage, it delivers a top-tier, immersive gaming experience. A must-have for serious gamers.

Amazing Upgrade, Needs more Next Gen Games

For sure the upgrade I needed. Load times on last gen games are instant, and runs most games better. I would recommend a newer tv so you can get the most out of the machine. If you don't have a 4k tv you wont see much of a graphical improvement. The controller is very similar to the xbox one controller, the share button is nice, and the grip is better on the back and triggers, but the best improvement so far is the d-pad. The best part of this new console compared to its competitor is the backwards compatibility with xbox, xbox 360, and xbox one games. As a bonus if you pay to unlock developer mode on the xbox (check youtube) you can even play emulated games as well including playstation 2, gamecube, etc. Overall an upgrade much needed. Only con is that it needs more next gen games, but thats what happens with most new consoles, needs a year or two to really see the true power. Only con at the moment is purchasing one, it took me a month, but bestbuy hooked me up.

Well I would have never thought that I would be owning an Xbox Series X in my lifetime. (I’m 65 yrs old but feel like an 18 yr old playing these games ) And i’m glad that this being my first Xbox that I made a very wise decision. I haven’t played any video games since Mario Bros came out for nintendo 64. Quite a few years ago for sure. The graphics and action that this Xbox puts out is unbelievable. Fast rendering and smooth scrolling is beyond anything i’ve ever seen or played on. Also one thing that I enjoy is the fact that with game pass in the Xbox Live that I can play games at a minimum monthly fee. My all time favorite right now is F1 2020. I love all types of racing but this one knocks it out if the park. Finally i’d just like to say is that if you can get your hands on one of these bad boys. Be prepared for a lot of lack of sleep, You’ll be glued to that screen all night. I know that I have been.

It's been over a year now, and this is by far the best console experience ever. Not only the best Xbox, this blows away the overall experience provided by the PS5 sitting next to it-- no clunky interface making it atrociously hard to find what you're looking for, no digging around through different screens depending on if you want something from your game library or to just watch Hulu, it's all just there on your menu a the press of a button. And that button is easier to use as well, since the controller doesn't cause your hands to hurt after hours of use. Better controller, better games, better media. It's just better, period.

What I can say. I was lucky enough to get one during one of Bestbuy's refreshes. First off, big thanks to Bestbuy for even allowing folks to get one. I appreciate them not allowing bots to just scope up all the inventory unlike Walmart and Target. As for the console, it reminds me of a subwoofer. It definitely does not look like the previous Xbox One X and it definitely runs faster. I love the 1TB SSD. Load times and performance are very noticeably faster. I brought this version so I could have the 4K Blu-ray player. In terms of gameplay, it seems to run cooler and does not make as much noise. The UI seems more refined. The cool thing is that a lot of Xbox One games get an enhanced feel and you can tell. All in all, despite the price, it is an upgrade. Hopefully, we will start seeing some real 8K content. I actually upgraded my smart TV just for this console alone. With 4K smart TVs going down in price, you will need one to really appreciate this console.
