A Promising Future
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an Xbox gamer since the original Xbox back in 2001. I also play on PlayStation as well. I love games. And if you're looking to enjoy yourself with gaming that has a large catalog of older games that the system can play then I recommend the Xbox Series X and the Game Pass option. When it comes to exclusive titles, I am very anxious for the Xbox exclusive Starfield next year. And then there is the new Fable title coming soon along with some other Xbox-only games in the near future. My point is that there are games coming and don't let anyone say otherwise. Now, I know that you can play Game Pass games on the other Xbox systems but what the Series X offers are speed and large storage. I was amazed at how fast games like Gears of War 4 or the Forza Horizon games loaded up. I honestly like the design of the Series X, it's streamlined and allows you to stand it upright or on its side depending on your gaming space. The controller is still the familiar design that we know from the 2013 Xbox One system but there's a share button added allowing you to quickly create game clips or save a game photo. If you are looking to purchase this system for a friend or a family member then I highly recommend that you know what kind of gamer that person is. Are they a current Xbox fan? Do they like playing the older games that they played on previous systems? I won't get into the weeds about third-party and first-party games since to the uninitiated, it can be confusing. Is this your or their first system? Xbox Series X can play all third-party games such as Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. The Series X also allows you to access your streaming service apps such as Apple Tv, HBO Max, Netflix, and Disney Plus, to name a few. No matter what you're watching or playing on this system, it's going to look REALLY good. Even older games are enhanced through the Series X system. Depending on your TV, the frame rate for some games is fast. As I mentioned before, if you're worried about Xbox not having exclusives, they are coming and they will make you feel proud about owning the Series X.

Next Level Console that lives up to the hype.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disregard the negative reviews from PS5 fanboys (who either don't even own the console or are hypocrites). This is an awesome next level game console. Upgrading to this from my One S is amazing. 4k graphics are great but the real improvement is definitely the increase to 60fps. Everything that I've played so far (Borderlands 3, Jedi Fallen Order, Gears 5) looks so much smoother and realistic. Load times are at least cut in half and in some cases 5-10 times faster than on the One S. I agree that this console is a little ahead of the current selection of games available for it but I'm very confident that developers will be releasing games that are able to showcase more of XSX's capabilities. Very impressed so far and I'm expecting more games to play over the next several months. Especially Cyberpunk 2077. If you can find one buy one (just not from scalpers taking advantage of the current shortage).

10/10 Recommend Purchasing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had PlayStations in the past so getting this was truly one of the best decisions I've made. The UI is easy to navigate so you'll have a smooth transition if you've never owned an Xbox before. I highly recommend purchasing this over the model S because the display is high quality and the storage is worth the extra money. If you find yourself downloading a lot of games, the disc drive is an excellent back up for you. I also recommend getting the Game Pass on this console because you'll find a lot of Indie games that deserve high praise. Finally I'd like to mention the controller is much more comfortable to use than the PS5 duel sense controller.

Great console full of features
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Already have a PS5, but wanted to play Starfield, so ended up buying a Series X last minute. Have never owned an Xbox so getting used to the UI took a few days, but I’ve really been enjoying the numerous features the Xbox ecosystem has to offer. All the titles on gamepass, tons of old favorites from the 360 era available via back compat, and the various boosts that games have received. One X enhancements carrying over, quick resume, and auto hdr give so many titles a current gen feel despite their age.

Never wait to Upgrade!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the amount of time it took me to get one of these, and the fraud loss L I took in the process, I barely want to touch a review. But, I actually love the machine, its a beast. (I was still playing a old xbox One) There are not many games i have even been into lately, and the only one I was really playing was Destiny 2... I was okay, but didn't do much High end content. I hated Pvp because I always get wrecked with 2-3 kills in a game. My first 100K game played, we hit that... Pvp, 20+ kills, without even using much strategy... Pack Kills, are FUN!!! :-D Anyway... I guess its time to finally go back and try to get my gallaHorns!!! Lets GO!!!

Next Gen Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Series X is a great piece of hardware. The system UI is much improved with faster loading and navigating thanks to the nvme ssd. The system runs very quite and heat levels or unnoticeable. Don’t be duked by videos online. Your system vents should be dispersing heat away from your system and if the vent feels like AC after playing for a long time thats a bad thing. Yes, the system is big but not as massive as the PS5. Finger prints do easily show but once you get your system in plays just wipe those off. Its not like you need to grab and move alot so thats not a big deal. The system and games load faster which makes more of a difference than you’d think. The Series X controller is also improved with a share button and textured grips. It also feela better in my hands but YMMV. The 1st party games from Microsoft are a ways off but my review is strictly about the system.

Amazing console at great price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been an Xbox fan boy since I was 4 years old playing Call of Duty World at War zombies. This is a true next gen Xbox that can be up to par with pc with a few exceptions. This cannot fulfill a lot of things a pc can but if your only purpose is gaming then this is perfect as it sits on a very nice $550 price tag that is only a 1/4 of the prices of good pc’s. This is a great device for gaming, family activities or even just watching movies. It’s simple and performs like a beast.

Great First Day!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was finally able to pick this up through Best Buy yesterday and it is a wonderful machine! I was originally worried about the design being a bit dull but it actually looks very neat and sophisticated in person. I especially love the vents at the top of the machine. As for performance, the system is as snappy as you would expect. I have been testing FIFA 21 and Forza Horizon 4 and both games have performed perfectly with minimum load times. Not to mention the graphics look fantastic on my Samsung 4K TV. I also love the user interface and have spent some time customizing it to make it look simpler. The controller is superb to hold and has a great, comfortable feel to it. I do wish it was a little more ambitious than the Xbox One controller which it resembles but it gets the job done nicely. All in all I am loving this console and look forward to playing some great games on it!

Outclassed by other consoles.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been an Xbox fan since the 360 days and I have been disappointed by them in recent years. The Series X is certainly a powerful console for the price, but the games, UI and overall feel of the console leave a lot to be desired. Nowadays, I would definitely recommend a Gaming PC if you can afford it. The overall gaming experience is much superior and the Xbox app is on PC allowing you to play Gamepass and use party chat. Getting a gaming PC reignited my interest in gaming, after years of disinterest on Xbox. If you can’t quite afford a PC, the other consoles will likely give you a better experience. PS5 has better exclusives like Helldivers, Spiderman, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima and more. Switch, while not being anywhere near as powerful, is a great choice for casual gamers and has a lot of great first party games like Mario and Zelda. Being able to use it in handheld is a huge feature that makes it easy to play in bed or on the go. Finally, Steam Deck is an awesome product that allows you to play PC games on the go, similar to Switch. The library is huge and it is highly customizable. Overall, Xbox Series X would not be my first recommendation to anyone looking to get a gaming machine. It is outclassed by nearly all its competitors and anything it has going for it, mainly Gamepass, is available on PC. Xbox has not had any interesting exclusive games in a while. I know there are some cool low budget games like Pentiment, but their big exclusives have all been flops. I was excited for Starfield, Halo Infinite, and Gears only to be disappointed by all of them. I got my first Xbox because of games like Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Fable, etc. and there is really nothing like those games on Xbox series. They have so many talented developers so I hope they can turn their games division around. Unless all your friends have Xbox, I’d recommend another gaming system.

Perfect Gift!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase has been one I do not regret making. The store price matched my purchase, which made me really happy, and it made the perfect birthday present for my husband. It runs and operates as expected. I did purchase top and bottom fans from a different company to support air flow and temperature so that the operation is optimal for longer. I have no complaints!

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I barely get to play but the boyfriend absolutely loves it. His old system was starting to run really slow and lag, but he’s on the series x daily and we’re working on getting him the necessary tools to properly stream. We have plans on buying a second one so that I can play with him from time to time.

Fine product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup process (~30 min) is kinda tedious and boring to be honest. I am a avid gamer but I don’t own a Xbox until now. I think the process of updating a controller’s software is funny... what’s the point? And the controllers do not have any new features with a next-gen console and it only runs on dry batteries... so on average you have to replace the batteries every week. To be honest, the console itself is good so far but I haven’t played any next-gen games on it just yet. The last-gen games from the Xbox Ultimate Game Pass run very smoothly. There are a lot of games come with the pass but they are all relatively old... The console is pretty quiet but the top vent can get hot after hours of playing (and that’s the purpose). Overall I give it 5 stars just because the solid quality of the product but I do hope I can play some exclusive games on the console in the future.

Not as user friendly as PS5 but still good
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as user friendly as PS5 but still a good console. The controllers feel cheaply made though compared to PS5 standards. I like game pass though way more compared to the PS5 alternative options.

Microsoft finally redeemed themselves
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent console. I was really skeptical about it when this and the PS5 were first announced. Thinking Xbox would have just another console gathering dust in my theatre room, as the Xb1 and Xb1x did. But with GamePass, and a revamped interface, this console is a serious contender for MVP. I have no doubt that PS4 won the last generation round, though I'd give the generation before that to the Xbox 360 over the PS3. I'm impressed with what Microsoft has pulled together here. The only major down side is Xbox STILL can't push out a console with rechargeable batteries. C'mon... that's an easy one. A minor down side is the initialization of the system had some timeout and connectivity issues for me (video on YT). Mainly in getting the updates installed and my MSFT account synced. But it's worked great once I got through that.

XBOX X SERIES IS THE BEST GAMING CONSOLE
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Xbox X is the best purchase I’ve made all year. The console is amazing and I was able to walk into the store and pic it up the same day I wanted it. I also got the Best Buy card and plan on using it for future purchases. The Xbox X is definitely fast and online play is so fun and competitive and the Xbox X doesn’t lag and is flawless in graphics. Also I can play games from the first Xbox and any other Xbox before the C series. This was great because I didn’t have to get rid of any older games and actually bought games I use to play from Xbox original.

Love the Xbox Series X
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the xbox series x and PS5. Overall, I love my xbox series X. It runs quickly, looks good, and I love the xbox controller. Quick resume is a great feature. In my opinion, the xbox is better than PS5 in every way except for two. One is expanded storage. The seagate storage is expensive and you are limited to them. On PS5, it is m.2 NVME SSDs that meet certain criteria, which is cheaper and more widely available. Second, I prefer the PS5 game library. Their exclusives are better and I don't care that much for game pass. However, i still pick xbox because most of the games are on both consoles and the xbox just runs so much better and faster than the PS5.
