Functions as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this using the All Access Pass. 24 months, 0 interest. If you breakdown the cost of the console and what you pay for 24 months of Game Pass, you actually come out saving a few dollars. Console is great. Size is a little awkward depending on the dimensions of your entertainment center.

Good Things and Bad Things!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an Xbox One X to the Series X, main reason is that One X does not have Gigabit support via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. One note to make, in the pictures, the Series X looks to be small, it is not, I had to move equipment around in my entertainment center to make room for it. I know I should have looked at the dimensions in specs, but I didn't. Not that big of an issue, just a FYI for the reader. Setup and connecting to Wi-Fi was easy enough. With the new processor games and or apps load very quickly! I did not really notice much difference between the X screens, meaning main screen and subsequent app screens and the One X. Of course, all of my cables are ultra highspeed ethernet cables, so the data throughput is about the same. In order to take advantage of the HDMI 2.1 speeds (48 Gbps) your TV and AV receiver must have HDMI 2.1 inputs and you must have HDMI 2.1 HDMI cables. In my case, my tv and receiver and cables are HDMI 2 hence the screens not looking that much different than the One X. I really did not want to spend several thousand dollars to upgrade my TV, AV receiver and cables so I settled for HDMI 2. BTW, the Series X does come with 1 HDMI 2.1 highspeed cable, one less for you to buy if you upgrade your equipment. Another issue I found, Wi-Fi speeds. My internet connection is 1.4Gbps; when I connected the Series X to Wi-Fi, my download speeds were in the 200 or less Mbps range, usually less. For reference, I have a Netgear Orbi 960 802.11ax Mesh Wi-Fi6 system with speed tests showing 1,400+Mbps (1.4Gbps). I spent several hours on the phone with Xbox support and Netgear. Xbox had no solutions, NexGear's response was... "Please be informed that the Xbox Wi-Fi client is not an AX, it is only an AC. This could be the issue since they are under a different protocol as advised by the expert from the higher department. The Orbi System is operating in AX (Wi-Fi6)" I think there are other issue with Wi-Fi on the Series X as I have a 2019 Dell laptop, 802.11ac, speed tests show 580Mbps + download and a 2016 vintage Samsung tablet that has download speeds in the 250Mbps +. A 6-year tablet that downloads faster than a state-of-the-art Xbox Series X? I did connect a Cat8 50-foot ethernet cable to the Series X and got 750Mbps download. Problem is it would be very difficult to run an ethernet cable from my router to the Xbox, too many walls to go through. I cannot simply leave the cable on the floor, 2 reasons, 1. It would not look good and 2. My dog would have the cable in pieces sooner than later. If you are not willing to spend thousands of dollars upgrading your TV and AV receiver to HDMI 2.1 and are willing to settle for the same resolution you would have with HDMI 2, and the slower download speeds via Wi-Fi, take the plunge. If you already have HDMI 2.1 you are halfway there, you just have to deal with the slower downloads. You might have different results with another type of a Wi-Fi system meaning no 802.11ax or Wi-Fi 6 because the Series X does not support either. One last thing, when I was connected via ethernet, and tried to download game updates, it started at 500+Mbps download but within a minute or less I was downloading at 1.5Mbps slowing to Kbps on and off. 100GB download, 3 days! Xbox servers might have been really busy, I checked online, Xbox said up and running no problems, but nothing about server load. That's it, hope this helps anyone looking to buy or upgrade.

Xbox Series YES!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crazy to think I have owned every generation of Xbox from the OG to the Series X. As games have evolved, Microsoft has kept pace with innovations and enhancements. The Series X is next level. It's quick, buttery smooth, and easy to operate. The size isn't nearly as big as I thought and it tucks nicely behind its new best friend - the Hisense U8K 75" 4K TV, Ports are easy to figure out, expansion is available if needed. The Quick Resume is my fave feature - especially with single player games. You can drop your game and pick it right back up. No need to make the wife angry by "geting to that next check (save) point". Just let Xbox save your marriage and you'll be gaming like the boss you are. Seriously though - I love this thing and am eager to test its full potential with future games.

Excellent features, lots of fun to be had.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been extremely happy with my upgrade from the Xbox One X to the Series X. Quick Resume is a killer feature not found anywhere else in gaming and allows me to bounce between several different games as my attention span allows. My only real gripe is the storage expansion options are limited and expensive compared to the PS5 and PC.

Series X better than Series S
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Series X. It may not be my favorite console this generation, but I still think it is worth the money. The only issue with the Series X is that I do not believe Microsoft has a lot of first party exclusives A lot of those titles are still coming. If you love Xbox, and you want a Series X and can find one, it is worth it. DO NOT get a Series S. They are underpowered and not worth the money.

Microsoft Xbox Series X Console - 1TB Black
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the Microsoft Xbox Series X Console from Best Buy as a gift for my boyfriend, and it has been absolutely fantastic. He loves it and uses it every day. The Xbox Series X looks sleek and performs incredibly well. It loads games super fast, thanks to its SSD storage. The graphics are stunning, with 4K resolution and HDR support that make games come to life. What's really cool is that it can play older Xbox games too, so my boyfriend gets to enjoy his favorite classics with improved graphics. The controller is comfortable, and the Share button makes it easy to capture and share gameplay moments. Not only is it great for gaming, but it also seamlessly integrates with streaming services like Netflix and Disney+. It has become the center of entertainment in our living room. Overall, the Microsoft Xbox Series X is an amazing console. If you're into gaming or searching for a gift idea, I highly recommend it. My boyfriend is thrilled with it, and I'm really happy with this purchase.

An Outstanding Console With Power That Spans Gener
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been lucky enough to procure both next-generation consoles near launch date, I've got to say that The Series X has been getting the majority of my playtime lately. Yes, the launch lineup is forgettable, but that has yet to be an issue for me. Like most gamers, I've got a miles-long backlog from last generation, and the Series X has been an outstanding way to enjoy enhanced versions of games from the entire Xbox ecosystem (Xbox,360, and One). Yes, the PS5 can run enhanced versions of some last-gen titles, but most compatible titles run just like they did on the PS4, and in terms of PS3 and older titles, you're best bet is dusting off the older consoles if you're looking to play these older titles. Don't mistake this as fanboyism because I have high hopes for both the PS5 and the Series X, but at this moment in time I'm spending more time with my Series X in spite ofthe total lack of worthwhile exclusives. This console makes playing many of my favorite titles faster, more convenient, and better looking than ever before, and it does that flawlessly. You can't go wrong with a PS5 or a Series X, but with the Series X the consumer is getting an unbeatable value proposition with GamePass Ultimate (this is a no-brainer if you own the console, as most of you already know). The console itself is worth owning right now even without any must-own launch exclusives if you ask me. I've been very happy with my purchase thus far, and can highly recommend the Series X for any serious console gamer. Highly recommended!!!

Between Series X and S, just buy this one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reason: The blu-ray drive that will work for your DVDs, blu-ray movies, 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision movies, games, old-gen games and whatever else Microsoft does with that drive in the future. And you get extra storage... For even more games, of course! Unlike Sony and their hubris (I also own a PS5, and very much dislike the fact that the best they could do was PS4 backwards compatibility), Microsoft listened to their fans, and thought it wasn't much work to bring backwards compatibility ALL THE WAY BACK to the original Xbox, so you don't have to have a 360 and a One X around... unless you want to... because this one plays it all* (some exclusions, Kinect games specifically, but yeah.) Speaking of games: Game Pass, an all you can eat buffet of games that you can enjoy, and if you go ultimate (for dinner buffet price, of course) you get even more options with EA Play, Xbox Live Gold (and its monthly games) AND PC GAMING TOO. Playstation doesn't have an answer for such comprehensive service, and please forget about PSNow, it is the reason why we can't play PS2 and PS1 on the PS5, and will likely be obliterated when XCloud is fully functional - I'm no fanboy of either platform, just giving my $14.99 per month here. Weaknesses? One: Storage. In two ways, as the internal storage won't be enough for us to hoard games as those next gen games are very greedy with space (though you can expand available storage it in two ways...), and the price on those storage cards. like a lot of things Xbox: brilliantly planned, meh execution. That level of storage speed does command a premium, but getting stuck with a proprietary form factor is what killed the PS Vita, thankfully here we do have the option of adding a huge, albeit slower, SSD via USB 3.1 so we can store and play games from all previous XBox generations, and store XBox Series games, as they can only be played from internal or expansion slot memory.
