||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easily one of the best hardware jumps in consoles. 60fps, 60-120hz, 4k HDR all together were only available to PC players for the longest time. Now that's available to console players and it's game-changing. One quick caveat: You MUST have a hdmi 2.1 enabled monitor/TV to really get the best experience out of the Series X. Without it, you're still getting the game changing 60 fps, but potentially missing out on 4k HDR, and definitely missing out on 120hz (for those games that have that).

Wonderful console!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This console runs everything with no issues so far. We’ve had it for a couple of years and it still has had no issues other than our controllers. Microsoft was amazing at replacing our controller though (definitely keep your receipts) even if everything is smooth. Best Buy have me the best deal which we are still benefiting from with our game pass for 2 years. I plan to keep buying from Best Buy because of the warranty extensions, the package deals you can find, and high quality products. It was either very lucky or just good timing with finding this Xbox series x for the price we did. I’m still doing payments on it but Best Buy gave me a very manageable price monthly which I’m so thankful for. I definitely recommend the series x with how smoothly it can run very high quality games for hours and hours. The auto turn off is great since I have a son and I’m generally active anyways. The amount of space is also very nice since we all enjoy it as a family. I’ve had to actually depend on the Xbox over the tv to even watch Netflix, it seems to crash on any tv we’ve owned but the Xbox stands strong with it. Apple TV was also horrible for crashing on the tv and the Xbox never missed a beat. So streaming services are also a plus in my book when using the Xbox. We have babied it quite a bit so far and hope to continue to keep it for many years!

XBOX X, great platform, take it on the go!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long term PlayStation owner ( and original XBOX/360) review: This system is great, great for travel( in my opinion better lasting as compared to the XBOX S) I decided to trade in for the X because of its overall performance. The S was really only good for on the go if you’re not trying to pack too much to go along with wherever you go. However, the X isn’t much bigger and still performs just as great, and can dissipate heat. With the 120hz output and the right TV connect to it, you’ll get the great frames to pair with gameplay. I own 3 gaming computers with similar if not higher frame rates, and this Xbox can keep up! I have an Amazon purchased cooling/charging stand to help with organization and with a couple hours of straight gameplay, no stutter or need to turn off because of overheating. The only thing I say that Microsoft store should do is clean up their UI in their opening menus, it’s not exactly the cleanest of organization but you’ll learn to get around through their Game Pass and other menus.

Awesome console, couldn't be happier with it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My One X finally went out on me, so I figured if I got another XBox I wouldn't get a S series, I'd get a X. And maaaaan, I'm glad I did. Besides it also causing me to get a newer TV that was more suitable/compatible, and also having to upgrade my wifi network, it was well worth it, haha. (TV was only 5-6 years old, just didn't meet the 4K/120, and the extender I was running was older, but still ran a 5G signal).

Excellent Piece of Tech
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this system since release in November, so this review is not a first-impression take. First, like most systems launched these days, there were some quirks and bugs at launch, but those have since been ironed out. The UI is the same, which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. I personally view that as a positive because I knew where everything was when trying to troubleshoot some of those early bugs. Second, I realize Xbox had no dedicated or exclusive games for this gen at release, but having access to and playing my library of both old and new Xbox One games in better quality and speed has more than made up the lack of exclusive titles. New (and current) games offering Series Optimized updates were/are stunning and I feel only scratch the surface on what this system can do overall. Smart Delivery has also been a huge plus in upgrading games that have an optimization without having to really do anything. Hard drive speeds have been nothing short of impressive. Load times on basic XBOne games are a fraction of my One X. I also picked up the Seagate expansion storage, and there is nothing different between games played off either drive. Transfers between the two are a snap (if you know the UI), and I can attest that a 40 GB game takes roughly 90 seconds to move. And finally, there's Quick Resume, easily the most next-gen feature that feels a little underrated. While it doesn't work on all games, such as some online-only games, it has been a breath of fresh air for larger games that have larger load times (Assassin's Creed Valhalla was my best test case). Let me offer this up as well: for the first time in my gaming life, a new console generation actually outperforms most current-gen TVs. I have a 4K/60Hz LG panel that has been an awesome TV, yet I would have to upgrade to get the most out of this system. That doesnt mean an upgrade is necessary, however, as everything I've been able to play in 4K/60 has been amazing. And as a note, I probably won't be upgrading the TV just yet. If you can find this system at stock price, you will not be disappointed. If you are more of a casual gamer, don't discredit the Series S either as it too is an awesome little system.

Amazing Gaming Experience!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn’t be happier with my Xbox! The graphics are stunning, the performance is seamless, and the game library is incredible. Whether I’m playing the latest AAA titles or relaxing with some classic favorites, it handles everything flawlessly. The quick loading times and user-friendly interface make it an absolute joy to use. Plus, the Xbox Game Pass is a game-changer, offering so much value with access to so many games. It’s perfect for casual gamers and hardcore enthusiasts alike. Highly recommend!

9.5/10 Amazing console. It puts out A LOT of heat!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: worth the money, will likely run future games great and look great for the next 6 years, SSD is wicked fast but is also small and needs more memory, puts out A LOT of heat. Fantastic console. Big heads up... IT PUTS OUT A LOT OF HEAT! Pros: •Super fast and powerful gaming system, •Super quiet even when running games at 4K 60fps, •Same operating system as the Xbox One line so everything is backwards compatible, •Memory is a SSD so load times are extremely fast for most games (for reference: Skyrim load times are so short I can’t finish reading a single sentence on the loading screens). •ray tracing is amazing and makes a world of difference. •FPS is usually locked at what you want it to be in most scenarios so I don’t really notice frame rate drops that often. •performance rivals gaming computers (desktops) in the $1200 range. •will likely be able to have no problems running the next 5-8 years of advancements in gaming and graphics while still looking amazing which is the main reason I dropped the $500. •upgraded WiFi card in the console so download speeds aren’t capped at 80mbps anymore (I downloaded a 16gb update in 8 minutes at 230mbps when I pay for a 300mbps plan and my roommate is playing his Xbox at the same time.) CONS: •puts out A LOT of heat... like similar to a space heater (do not even think about putting the console in an entertainment system or shelf unless you cut holes in the back where the intakes are and give the exhaust at least 8” of clearance and angled so the exhaust is pointed a little away (like 10-15 degrees) from the shelf. Not a problem if it is standing upright on top of something with nothing above it or blocking the vents.) •it uses the old operating system so it doesn’t feel new unless you use the dynamic moving backgrounds for the Home Screen. •a lot of games are still not optimized/don’t take full advantage of the new hardware and technology so quick resume, high frame rates, and 4K are not available on a lot of games (but that’s an issue with Microsoft and the other games, not with the console). •it has a 1 terabyte SSD which isn’t a lot of space for modern day and future games, so either buckle down and buy the 1tb SSD expansion card for $200 or use a cheaper hard drive but forfeit the amazing loading times and other features. (A terabyte is about 1000 gigabytes, and after the operating system you only have ~840gb free. New games are usually around 50-110 gigabytes and they’re just going to get larger). •distracts me from studying and is making it hard to finish my Pre-med degree with a good gpa lol

First Console to Ever Feel Truly Next Generation
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought the Xbox 360, Xbox one, PS4 and PS4 Pro at launch. I have kind of just gotten used to buying a new console at launch. While this one was tricky to acquire, i will say one thing. This is the first console i have every bought that felt truly next generation! The SSD drastically improves load screens (longest load screen on Diablo 3 was about 2 seconds) and call of duty warzone now allows me to participate in the pregame warm ups with roughly 57 seconds. The xbox one and PS4 pro gave me around 15-20 seconds usually. It is super quiet, and the UI is unchanged so its super familiar. Even games that arent optimized for this console play incredibly well. Warzone runs on average of around 110-114 frames per second (i usually play aggressively so there is a bunch of action on the screen at any one time) Diablo 3 is limited to 60 fps from the developer (Blizzard Entertainment) but it still performs incredibly well. Cyberpunk 2077 (despite the harsh criticism) performs really well too. Load screens are only a few seconds long, the visuals are beautiful, and the new controller truly does cut down on input delay (high fps helps too). I hooked up my xbox one and my series x side by side. I tested the delay with reloading the same exact gun at the same exact time. The series x was noticeably faster (even though its in milliseconds, if you look hard enough you will see it). It stays incredibly cool. It does get warm (As all hardware does) but it stays within acceptable temperatures. Optimal temperature really. Overall, having played my buddies PS5 and having played the Series X, i must admit, i prefer the series x. The PS5 wont play games in 120 fps unless they have been ported over to new gen, where as the series x is getting an update here soon that will make almost every game run at higher frame rates without the game developer issuing a patch (Crucial for me as i love going back and playing old titles). Pros: Fast load times Stays quiet Stays cool Faster FPS Improved controller connection to allow less input delay (Crucial for competitive gamers) Backwards compatible with almost every single game (excluding kinect games) The new controller is even more comfortable than the XB1 controller with its new Dpad, new grip, rounded triggers and bumpers. Cons: The only really approved external storage are some proprietary SSD cards that seagate makes. Who knows when other 3rd party manufacturers will get involved. I would recommend this to everyone.
