IMO - XBox for ALL your gaming needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm happy with the console thus far. The XSX has def showed some of the next-gen capabilities and raw power. Looking forward to seeing some dedicated next-gen titles to really see the true advantages. I haven't had any issues thus far and continue to experience minor tweaks and such as the XSX settles into the XBL ecosystem. I would rec to anyone looking to step up and away from last gen and be with a more customer & service orientated console. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a no-brainer for anyone looking to be versitle and play more titles over various platforms. No one, and I do mean NO ONE company can provide this level of services to so many within ONE eco-system. And backwards compat? Simple, if you can play it one the Xbox One....then you can play it one the XB S/X....period...this goes for all XBone titles, any 360 & OG Xbox titles that have become backwards compat. PS can not provide that type of promise what-so-ever. To add, next-gen titles and even exclusives are coming to XBox catalog in '21 and beyond. The raw power of this system has yet to be truly shown. Just so this doesn't sound biased, I do plain to buy a PS5 in '21. But the only reason is to play a select few exclusive titles. God of War, Spiderman, Last of Us etc etc etc... and even at that, its not a pressing issue. PS5 for exclusives XB S/X( I fully rec the XSX) for a much larger Game Library, Cross-Platform (Xbox, PC, Phone, Tablet)capabilities, Larger Backwards Compat Library. I hope this helps someone on the fence of which console to jump into.

Pleasantly surprised...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start, I'm playing on an LG 4K OLED and ever since the "Red Ring" fiasco on my 360 I have moved solely to the PS side but decided to give Microsoft another shot. I will say, I'm pretty happy with this one so far. I wouldn't put either the PS5 or the Series X over the other since I have played them side-by-side and as far as I can tell they are pretty even in performance. GamePass is a must if you don't like sticking to one game for months and, for me, that is what pushes the X just into the 5* range. Graphics wise, it isn't "OH MY GOD!" revolutionary but I will say they are amazing and I'm looking forward to more next gen games to come out in the next year or so to really start utilizing the power this thing has. As for looks, I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying it is super sleek and sexy and all that...it's a black box. It's not bad in my opinion but it's still just a big black brick. The black 360 was "sleek", I don't think people know what that word means. Set-up was super easy and my account from 13 years ago was still there so that was a plus. Not a huge fan of having to pay extra for a rechargeable pack or replace batteries in the controller but at least they last a while and they last longer than a charge on the PS5 and 4 controllers. Unless this console dies in the next few months, Microsoft has scored a few points in my book and may have won back a customer finally.

XBOX Series X seems pretty great so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to set up and get going with downloading Starfield and playing within the hour. The overall use of Xbox has been very positive with little to no issues. I was very surprised by how quiet the console is even while running Starfield/Forza Horizon 5. You cannot even tell the console is on. With how quiet the console is, I have been thinking on switching to my new Xbox X for all console gaming instead of my PS5 which can be very loud during gaming or even just during boot up. Boot up on Xbox X and Play: Takes minutes to get launched into a game (Starfield) Capacity: Wish it had more space, 1TB got filled pretty quick with just 3 games. Controller: The controller the console came with feels kinda cheap TBH. However, I have gotten use to the texture and feel of it after a week or so.

Best Gift to Ourselves!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My fiancé and I went halfsies on this console because we’re both December babies I wasn’t going to settle for something that I couldn’t play my older games and dvds on for our birthdays. The picture is great. The load up time is next to nothing, the quick return feature is brilliant. We can go from game to show and right back to where we left off in a game without wasting any time at all.

You’re not going to regret this!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been an Xbox gamer since I was 7 and started with the original Xbox. Now 19 years later and the Xbox series X in hand, it’s just as awesome as it was all those years ago. 4K clarity and buttery smooth FPS is just amazing, well worth the money. If your thinking of buying this, stop hesitating and just do it. If you see it in all it’s glory first hand pick it up and run, but pay for it of course haha. Have fun.

Quick Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Console has had a rocky start with some issues so far, but it's sounding more and more like optimization with particular games. All in all, been smooth with everything else, especially playing older games. Hopefully a patch should correct issues soon enough. I'm also not as concerned as the One X had similar issues when I received at launch (games would freeze in game, and hard reset the system). That was eventually fixed and I didn't experience it any longer with the One X. Now, I've only experienced this playing enhanced games, like Call of Duty. It has become less frequent, but still just something to take note of. Haven't had this issue with any other applications or games that weren't optimized (or Xbox one titles). The UI is basically identical to that of the One X, and runs very smooth. Dynamic backgrounds, as well as some other customization features are also welcome. Controller is also very nice that it comes with, although the stream button between the Start and Select icons can be easy to hit when playing games. Another bonus if you're coming from a previous Xbox such as myself, is that all your accessories will work on the new Xbox. I have used previous controllers, hooked up my external hard drive (was a Samsung 3TB), and obviously the games will crossover onto this from previous. Overall, the console is fantastic, and from the optimized games I've seen so far, it has serious power and potential. I'm a bit bias since I'm coming from Xbox previously, but it's a great system all around.

The best Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long time gamer and avid xbox buyer, i'm extremely pleased with this system. The difference between this console and the OG xbox one is night and day! The first day I played on it I found myself going back to experience what the graphics and gameplay were supposed to look like on games like Battlefield 1, RDR 2, and Assassins Creed: Odyssey. The look and feel amazing after the upgrade. Ive been playing on 4k TVs since early 2016 and always thought the graphics look dull and to be fair a One X would have helped up the resolution, but I could never justify spending the money just to upgrade that aspect. Extremely pleased in the build and look of the console itself. I wasn't too ecstatic when the Xbox one came out with the glossy black that was easily susceptible to scratches. The Xbox Series X with the matte finish makes it look sleek and professional. More of a modern piece thats fits an apartment rather than an actual console. Overall, I love the Xbox Series X and can't wait to see what the future holds for both of these next generation consoles! PS - whats the point of leaving a negative review if you weren't able to buy one? I understand the frustration with scalpers but that has always been an issue and always will in a capitalistic society. Don't put out that negative energy because in return it will just bring you bad energy. Just breathe and be thankful. The energy you emit is the energy you receive, so be positive.

Excellent replacement for my original XBox One
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an avid gamer. I play on several platforms (PC, Playstation, XBox). One of the last remaining upgrades for my home set up was to replace my original XBox One. It took a few years to finally get my hands on a Series X, largely because of increased demand during Covid lockdown but I finally got lucky and was able to make my move. If you're like me and you still have your original XBox One, Microsoft has made a lot of important improvements to the Series X. Gone is the brick power supply, for starters... the Series X also has a faster SSD and offers upgrade options that are easy to achieve if you do a little research on YouTube. And you'll want to upgrade your internal storage because considering the size of modern games, it won't take long to fill up the internal storage here... On top of this, you will experience much faster load times with the Series X and the controllers are far more responsive in my opinion. If you're thinking about an upgrade, now is the perfect time to make your move.

Powerful Gaming, But Software Could Use Some Polis
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox Series X is a powerhouse when it comes to gaming, delivering impressive performance with its 4K capabilities and smooth frame rates. Whether you’re diving into the latest AAA titles or revisiting older favorites, the Series X handles them all with ease, thanks to features like Quick Resume and super-fast load times. The backward compatibility is also a huge plus, allowing you to enjoy a vast library of games from previous Xbox generations with enhanced performance. However, the software side feels a bit incomplete. The user interface, while improved, can still be somewhat clunky, and some features feel underutilized. But where the Xbox Series X truly shines is with Xbox Game Pass. This service is a game-changer, offering access to a massive library of games that makes the Series X an excellent value for gamers looking for variety and convenience. Overall, if you’re looking for a console that delivers excellent gaming performance and access to a fantastic game subscription service, the Xbox Series X is a great choice, even if the software experience isn’t quite as polished as the hardware.
