Absolutely fantastic console. Boots fast and plays games flawlessly in 4K HDR with no slowdowns. The SSD in this thing screams and laughs at the games you throw at it. Console does have some backwards compatibility to play your old Xbox games. Overall I am very happy I bought this so I can play this latest games in stunning detail.

I put off buying the Xbox series X for a couple years now. I have a PlayStation 5, but the multiplayer games, and game pass, are all way better on Xbox. After getting attached to the quick load times of the ssd, I can never go back to the platter drives. I still have the Xbox One, and it's now going into retirement because the load times seem unbearable now.

One of the last Xbox systems?

This is a good system to play games on if you enjoy the Microsoft scene. However, I am not a huge fan of the Xbox game library and so my Xbox has not seen very much play. However, it does have features like dev mode that can promise some flexibility with what it can play if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

Finally got my hands on one after years of waiting

I can't believe I finally got my hands on one. Caught a lucky restock on the site. Dropped a purchase as soon as possible for pick up and after a solid week of waiting. It was ready for me to pick up! The console is extremely fast. I've been holding off on upgrading my TV even for years until I got my hands on a Xbox Series X and/Or a PS5. PS5 is still impossible to get my hands on and I finally got my Series X so the 4K big TV is next. This thing is so smooth and so fast compared to my Original day one Xbox one console. Sea of Thieves especially really is optimized so nicely for Series X that it out performs my gaming PC even. Series X is an absolute must not only for the Physical media drive but the sheer power over the Series S makes this the must have console. Forza Motorsport 7 and Horizon 5 never loaded so fast and held frame rates so stable. Performance is everything. Graphics come next. Now I can't wait to see it in 4k soon enough. Highly recommend a Series X if you can get your hands on one. They sell out fast.

The Xbox Series X is a true game-changer in the world of consoles. Its lightning-fast loading times transform gaming into a seamless experience. With support for 4K resolution at 120 FPS, games look breathtakingly realistic. The console's backward compatibility is a delightful feature, ensuring your old favorites are never obsolete. The Xbox Game Pass, akin to a gaming Netflix, provides an endless library of titles to explore. The controller design, though familiar, has been fine-tuned for even greater comfort and precision. The Xbox Series X is not just a console; it’s a comprehensive entertainment powerhouse, perfect for any gaming enthusiast.

Best Microsoft Product since MS DOS 3.12!

Absolute best product Microsoft has -ever- put out, with exception to MS DOS 3.12. Amazing load speeds, probably due to the use of SSD, fast MEMs and "Cool" Cooling. Seriously, Microsoft REDESIGNED the motherboard to bend to its will! To make -YOU- happy! I'm guessing Microsoft is taking a loss on each of these units because a similar PC setup is MUCH more expensive. Game Pad/Controller: While it doesn't really LOOK like the controller has much of an update, it really FEELS like it has. Textured grips, a shorter trigger system - feels like they moved the shoulder buttons too, but can fully confirm that. The QUALITY of the Controller seems to have been MUCH improved - hoping this keeps up down the years with further Controller releases. No, I don't need a dedicated 'share' button in the middle there (that is new) - but it is map-able - as are the other buttons - so I guess I can use it at some point in time... UHD/4K Drive: This is the ONLY UHD/4K drive I will probably buy. Why? Because dedicated units are obscene in price and do less! Overall: At this point in time, pandemic-ridden times which bring-on a scarcity of product with an overabundance of time, its REALLY hard to get one's hands on this kind of Masterpiece. Once you do, however, you will find it is worth every penny and overexerted effort.

Coming back to the Xbox ecosystem after skipping it like many did for the Playstation 4, and I am enjoying it very much. This system is blazing fast, the UI is very snappy, the storage space; while still on the low end at 1TB, still can hold a ton of games. Add on either one of the new licensed Xbox Series Storage drives, an external SSD or even just a regular external HDD for more storage. Playing a lot of the older Xbox One gen games on this is actually the best way to play them. Most, but not all, have increased visual fidelity and framerates. Almost all the games now have a software based HDR rendering which can make a lot of older games get a fresh coat of paint as well. Unique to the Series X|S line of systems is something called "Quick Resume". Basically you can swap between multiple games at once and have them running in the background, and take over from where you left of. Somehow, the Microsoft team have devised some way to do it this even when the system is fully powered down, and even unplugged from the wall it remembers when you last minimized the game. Its one of the biggest features that has gotten a lot of use in my house with multiple people who use the system. Microsoft have came back swinging at Sony after this last generation where they were always behind, and I am incredibly pleased with the direction they are heading.

I was extremely excited to get this product and it did not disappoint! I wouldn’t say that I am an avid gamer that knows much about processing speeds and all of the technical stuff, but that being said, even I can tell with the untrained eye how much faster this machine processes my games and the the way it translates to the movement on screen. I had an Xbox one before this and this is leaps and bounds better than the one I had previously. Setup was easy, it hardly disconnects from the internet in my experience, and honestly the overall quality of this system got me addicted to gaming again since I’m enjoying my experience a lot more!
