Satisfied!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was extremely excited to get this product and it did not disappoint! I wouldn’t say that I am an avid gamer that knows much about processing speeds and all of the technical stuff, but that being said, even I can tell with the untrained eye how much faster this machine processes my games and the the way it translates to the movement on screen. I had an Xbox one before this and this is leaps and bounds better than the one I had previously. Setup was easy, it hardly disconnects from the internet in my experience, and honestly the overall quality of this system got me addicted to gaming again since I’m enjoying my experience a lot more!

It changed the way I consume video games.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox Series X is the first Microsoft console I have ever bought. I have always owned Nintendo consoles and also had a Playstation 3 and a Playstation 4. I decided to buy an Xbox Series X because of the great promise of Gamepass and I am really impressed with the system as a whole. It's the first console that, from day one of purchase, and just paying $15 a month, gives you access to a huge catalog of games. Different from other generations of consoles where little by little one had to buy games and had to analyze which game to buy because the video game hobby is not exactly cheap. As for the console itselft, it looks and feels quality from the moment you take it out of the box. It is small and aesthetically beautiful. In terms of functionality, I've been using it daily for months now and haven't had a single problem. The only software issue is that, as of today, the console menu only works at 1080p and without HDR. Because of the above, if one is playing a game in 4K with HDR and goes back to the main menu, the screen goes black because of the mode transition and this can become annoying. I have actively recommended to all my friends the combination of Xbox and Gamepass. I am very satisfied with my purchase so far. 5/5

Great Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldnt wait to upgrade to this guy. It can run most games at 4k 60fps of course if you have the right monitor. Most 360 games will run at 60fps just make sure to select FPS boost in settings.

Best console that Microsoft has ever built
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far hands down the best console that Microsoft has thus far produced. It is very quiet and I have had zero problems with it since I have had it. I was fortunate enough to get one on the November 10th release date. If it wasn't for Best buy doing a second wave of pre-orders on September 22nd, I may not have been able to get one and they were the only retailer at the time that we're doing multiple pre-order waves on September 22nd while everyone else just did one wave of pre-orders. The backwards compatibility feature is very nice with the built-in auto HDR, wich makes the previous generation games feel like something brand new and the frame rate boost to those games is nice as well. The quick resume feature is a game changer, where you can quickly switch between multiple games back and forth in quick sucession without having to sit and wait at a loading screen for an exorbitant amount of time. It is a well-built compact machine that does not take up a lot of space and paired with the right TV that supports the series X you will get to enjoy some very beautiful graphics. The best console that Microsoft has built so far and I thought the 1X was the best one they built but they have now trumped the 1x.

Sigh
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We initially bought the all digital model being unaware of its storage. Youd think since online that wouldnt be an issue. Not the case. It was easy to switch it for this one at best buy though it had to be shipped since they were out of them. For the console itself, its storage is stilll garbage at you need to spend another 250 for additional external storage but the one plus it has over sony is tge backwards compatibility with games. Good thing since you basically need to spend 20 bucks a month for game pass for many games you might want. The gaming industry is a dinosaur struggling to stay relevant forcing gamers to bend over and take it up the tailpipe. Hard to stay positive about that in a review.

Patience paid off
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited over a year to get it. Wasn't going to pay a scalper $1,500 for it. While I waitted I saved a little each payday and finally got it at the correct price. $499. Not a hardcore gamer but its nice to have and flip on to kill some time and prrforms better than a PC system I could custom build and at a more affordable price.

Overhyped if you already own an Xbox One X.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick Resume is a nice new feature. Cold boot time is significantly faster than previous models. With big title games often being larger than 80-100GB in size, 1TB really isn't enough storage. This should have had 4TB internal storage minimum. All Series X|S optimized games must be on internal storage or proprietary expansion card. You can still play older games off an external HDD. I have the additional 1 TB propriety expansion card but I am NOT a fan of this overpriced storage. I feel like Microsoft should have come up with a better solution than making us move files back and forth from internal to external storage. While you can orient the system horizontally, you will find that the bottom of the system builds up heat on the bottom quickly. A vertical orientation is certainly the most efficient but you may find it a bit challenging to make that work in an entertainment center, as most other devices are horizontally oriented. You definitely want to give this thing at least 4 inches clearance on the right and top for ventilation. Timing on the system is disappointing as Halo Infinite was postponed, I expect that as developers catch up with the technology we will see more impressive games. If you play "The Medium" on this console and see strange video artifacts, don't be alarmed your console is probably fine, it is the game. I have witnessed this on all 5 Series X consoles I have played on. If I hadn't seen this on multiple units purchased from different vendors, I would have been furious thinking that a brand new console was defective. So far this is the only Series X|S optimized game I have seen this occur on. I recommend this over the Series S for two reasons: 1.) The UHD Blu-ray, I like to watch movies and 2.) the Blu-ray drive, I like to be able to be able to play my older games and I like being able to purchase used games at a much more reasonable price. When we lose that physical media, we are locked into the often over-priced Microsoft Store.

Excellent console slower then ps5 though.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very amazing program with the xbox all access I had been trying for months to score a console with no luck. I decided the all access looked like a pretty good deal, I instantly got approved and exactly a week later got my Xbox series x I just had to show my ID at best but and that’s it Super easy and no stress.I already have a ps5 but Microsoft is starting to buy out a lot of game developing companies and it’s going to have some very good exclusive games so I felt like it’s time have both so I can experience everything the gaming industry has to offer and with graphics and speeds like high end PCs I see no need to have a PC just for gaming the consoles are literally just built to do that and run them with top performance and solid 120 FPS. Now the Xbox series x is a lot slower with loading times with disc installs or digital installs by 20+ mins or more also, loading games up takes longer but overall with the amount of games with game pass it is well worth having to wait a little longer to play/download games. 5 stars because it was so easy to get with the Xbox all access and it’s a solid console just not quite as good as a ps5

A big step up but needs updates!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the new series x! Super fast, quiet and definitely improves overall gameplay. There are some bugs thought that I hope Microsoft will get updates for soon. 1) Several times I have lost game audio with the quick resume feature. When I close out the game and restart the game audio is back. The feature is great in concept but needs some work. 2) There should be an easier way to completely power down the xbox. Right now you need to go deep in to the settings to do that, without unplugging the machine. When I just normally power down the xbox, it is still technically on, and after being off for several hours, the box was still very warm to the touch. 3)When I "turn off console" from my controller, the xbox powers down then comes right back on. Not all the time but several times this has happened. Also, when the xbox comes back on on its own, the controller is completely disconnected and I cannot reconnect it even with the sync button. The only way to reconnect the controller is to completely power down the system then it reconnects no problem when it starts back up. 4) I have had connectivity issues with my new steel series arctis 9x headset which supposedly was specifically designed for this machine. The headset would disconnect for no reason sitting in the same spot. This is an intermittent issue. Don't get me wrong. This is a great machine and I don't regret the purchase at all! I expect there to be some issues when launching new tech. I just hope Microsoft provides some fixes soon.
