Before the xbox series x i used to have a xbox one day one series. It lasted me a long time, but over the years it started getting slower and slower. Then during a massive blackout it destroyed my xbox one. At that moment i knew i needed a upgrade. I was thinking about the ps5 but i ultimately decided to go with xbox, and after a whole lot of video games later i can say that this has been one of my purchases. Thanks Microsoft, i may hate your windows computer software, but you sure can make a good console.

I receive my Xbox X about a week ago. I’ve set it up and played a few games. The graphics are stunning And the level of detail in the games is absolutely amazing. Although I’ve only used it a few times I can tell this is going to be a real pleasure to have for years to come.

Awesome upgrade from the series S, has plenty of storage (for the most part) depending on the game you play. The controller is slightly different than the series S, has more grip.

I wish I had more time to play games. I had a PS4 before this and game load times were a drag. This console has the best features I have ever experienced. I wish there were more games that leveraged the technology this thing has... this thing has been out for a few years and we have yet to really experience it. Quick Resume is so good but it does crash from time to time. Loading times are nothing compared to earlier consoles. My three gripes the storage expandability options and the fact it took us this long to get solid state storage solutions in gaming consoles. 1TB is too small. One more thing to note... the form factor. Very convenient size fits just about anywhere.

I mean, it's the newest gen Xbox. How could it be bad? Love it. It's definitely of a large form factor, so it didn't fit in my media cabinet (shelves are too close, wouldn't allow for sufficient air flow). But its minimal design, basically just a black box, helps it look fine simply sitting on top of the media stand, next to the TV. The controller is comfortable to hold and seemingly of good quality. The UI of the XBox really hasn't changed from the previous gen, so it's very easy to navigate menus and find what I want. Maybe an icon has changed position slightly, but everything is very familiar. Great system! I'm looking forward to several future exclusives, which will further help me feel it was worth the considerable sum.

This console is amazing with stellar graphics and sound, but the biggest surprise was just how easy it was to transition over from my old XBox One X. I set it up through the XBOX app on my phone and it automatically set up my new Series X and transferred all my saves over through the cloud. On my old XBOX, I had a 2TB USB hard drive that I used to keep all my games stored on, and I literally plugged it into my new Series X and it just worked. All the games loaded flawlessly without any effort. It even showed which games were optimized for the Series X|S. When I selected those games, it moved those games over to the internal storage and then updated them to the new X|S version. Honestly apart from unplugging my old USB hard drive from my old XBOX, I didn’t even need it to be on in order to migrate my stuff over to my new XBOX. Also, all my old controllers paired up and worked right away with all the new games without a hitch. I must say that Microsoft really put in some serious effort into making the switch over from an old XBox to this new one super easy and painless.

The game system is as amazing as any other owner will tell you. Best buy's service, however, was exemplary! very easy to use site and, setting up in-store pick up was as flawless as walking into the shop and picking it off the shelves. the employees were wonderfully knowledgeable, polite and helpful. If you got this far, give them a visit, you will not be disappointed.

My husband recently was diagnosed with an illness that is keeping him at home. He is an avid reader but you can only read so much. I was trying to find something that he would enjoy and keep him occupied. in his younger days he was a pilot so I decided to try an XBox X with Microsoft Flight Simulator to see if he might like it. Even I was surprised at how much he loves the XBox and game. Just goes to show that XBox isn’t just for the youngsters!

The Xbox Series X is an odd console to review. It’s certainly great in performance with support for 4K 120Hz HDR and improves performance of all games new and old, but as of now it lacks that “wow” factor that really makes it stand out compared to the older Xbox One X. I’ll admit I originally wanted the PS5 but settled for the Xbox due to lack of supply, but when I say that I mean it in terms of innovation, such as how the PS5’s new controller makes games more immersive with it’s dynamic triggers and rumble motors and a lineup of games both current and speculative based on the studios Sony has that just seem more fun. Looking back at Xbox’s history, there aren’t many unique games and franchises that I can think of; Halo, Gears of War, and Forza are the only major ones that I cared for, and even then those were all basically the same game. Fortunately it seems that Microsoft might actually care about delivering on exclusives this time around with its many studio acquisitions.

I wanted to wait to write this review to let time go pass and hype to go down. First is this console worth 500.00? Yes it was and no regrets! Second i was never a believer of gamepass but i tried it out and the value for the mon ey and what you get its great asset and worth having. Third, i love the way they did storage with combination of new nvme or old mechanical storage. I play all my games on here except the Playstation 5 exclusives. I bought ps5 and enjoy it as well. The Xbox live service is dedicated service and rarely goes down. Xbox is gamer friendly and provides lots of options. Im playing 2018 LG C8 oled. Im playi g 4k 60 or 1080p @ 120fps. HDR, DOLBY VISION, DOLBY ATMOS. Remote play on wi fi is good. I like games are optimized for Series X and S and easy downloading. I wish it was faster though. I have 500mbps and wish it downloaded as fast of my connection. Dont overpay for this xbox just wait and be ready to buy when available dont hesitate. I hope this helps someone.

I’m not a professional reviewer but here’s my experience. The Series X is a step up. The UI is very responsive and looks great. I have played a few games on it so far. I played through Dark Souls remastered and Dead Space 2 and they worked flawlessly and it seems the load times have shortened. I’ve also been playing Destiny 2. The update for Destiny 2 makes the game look stunning and run so smoothly. I have played the COD Cold War campaign which also looks fantastic. So far I have not experienced any issues with the console while playing games, or at any time for that matter. I’ve put it through some 4-6 hour gaming sessions without a hitch. I also use Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and have not had any issues. I am using a Samsung Q70R tv and and haven’t noticed any visual issues. I am very pleased with the Series X and highly recommend it.

I've owned all the xbox machines since they came out. PROs: Very fast "Quick Resume" feature Supports up to 8K resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate Xbox Game Pass offers a stunning level of value An SSD speeds up load times HDMI 2.1 out Backward-compatible games Adds HDR to older games 120Hz modes for smoother gameplay Blu-ray player and lots of apps Almost silent operation CONs: Expensive Few titles use ray tracing right now Non-removable stand looks weird horizontally Loses the optical audio output User interface remains cluttered No exclusive games THAT SAID - and while I could gripe more on the Tiles UI that the xbox has which seem *dated* nowadays - its menu system is clunky - and lacks in a lot of areas and Im not a big fan of the xbox UI but I'd give this console the thumbs up - however it is a bit pricey.

What can I say? If you’re an Xbox gamer, you probably own this. Tariffs have raised price by $100 since last year sadly. Otherwise, a great console.
