As you can see from the mixed reviews, half of the reviews are obviously bots which is strange. This console is NOT worth your money especially after the price hike on a 5 year old console that is inferior to the PS5 in almost every way. Dont believe the fake reviews. Get a mid tier pc or ps5 for the price.

It was fun but there are no Xbox exclusive games to play on it

So its been little over a year owning my xbox. XBOX is fast to upload and fun to play to extent. Here is my issue with my xbox series x. XBOX will radomly disconnect me from online. This is aggravating when playing online. I know its my xbox because my older xbox is wireless and doesnt not have this issue. If it was network issue they would both drop at the same time. Xbox series x is connected to router. So be aware before buying.

This new format is aweful. I used to be able to put a game in and play. Now I need dual factor authentication, and to update l my games. My son wants to play minecraft. It has taken me 1.25 hrs to even get it to update. Flipping horrible. I feel bad for folks that habe to deal with this. Mine stays off. We play the switch. Thanks Microsoft.

Spent weeks trying to even buy this thing, it was awesome for about a day and a half then died; now I have to start over again and go back to waiting for restocks. Kinda expected kinks like this to be worked out by now, given how hard they are to come by.

Console *****, All Access**. I got All Access last year with the mindset it would make getting a Series X easier. Not to he case. Not only did Amazon stop honoring it, but the upgrade option was never even made available even after I paid off early.

Please, please, PLEASE don’t purchase this console, you’ll be sorry. This Xbox series X crashes all the time and freezes sometimes as well. When recording gameplay it has destroyed TWO of my usb thumb drives and also constantly overheats in a well ventilated room in vertical position and shutdown while recording gameplay! THIS CONSOLE IS A COMPLETE MESS! Waste of money! WIRELESS CONTROLLERS CONSTANTLY NEEDS TO BE RECONNECTED AS THEY LOSE CONNECTION EVERY WEEK OR SO! S

What a piece of junk. Even after multiple updates it constantly freezes, hangs, and crashes. I've already initiated an RMA and received a SECOND Xbox Series S, and guess what? It also freezes, hangs, and crashes. The thing is, being an IT professional I have a long history with Microsoft and I know exactly why the XBSX doesn't perform: it's because Microsoft hires cut-rate overseas developers and their software is a complete MESS. Windows is a mess, Microsoft Office is a buggy mess, and their enterprise-grade products are riddled with bugs and rife with instability. I had high hopes that Xbox might be different. And well, it's not! It's like a garbage version of Windows crammed into a low-power rectangle. As for all these other reviews, these read like something created by shills, because I for one, cannot believe people are giving this console five stars. I should have just waited and bought a PlayStation 5. The amount of time, money and energy I've sunk into their disastrous console is absurd. I'll never buy another Microsoft product again.

How can you want to charge 600 dollars when the playstation 5 pro costs only 100 dollars more. This Microsoft is kidding. I hope Sony playstation doesn't do the same.

Odd that neither Playstation or xbox are available. Sony and microsoft. Both completely different companies . Different distributors. Different factories building the consuls. Also odd the have near the same number of reviews.

How can you charge an extra 100 bucks on a 5 year old tech. This is backwards. I hope no ones buys this product. Really Ridiculous for raising prices

I bought my son a Series X for Christmas with the All Access plan because that was the only way to get one. We managed to get through the setup when we first turned it on, but after that it would do nothing. An hour or so on the phone with support determined that it had an operating system issue and would need to be replaced. The only option for replacement was to return it where we bought it. Naturally, Best Buy didn't have one in stock, so the only option we had was to take a refund and take our chances on being able to get another one if/when they were restocked. The kicker to the story is that they only refunded the console (which also still has not been reflected in my account) so I'm stuck owing for the subscription on a console that I don't have and may not be able to replace. That was fast from the only issue with this purchase, but this review is about the product experience, not the Best Buy experience. Suffice it to say that I don't recommend the All Access plan or Best Buy.

It's on still has the same laggy loading and fir next gen it doesn't load that fast the interface is still not in 4k and the same controllers

The only down side is…WHY DID MICROSOFT MAKE THE DISC DRIVE CONNECTORS EASY TO BREAK EASILY!?

With the new price increases. The xbox series x is no longer worth your money. You are better off with a PlayStation 5 or mid tier PC.
