Everything was as expected. Turn it on and play Fallout… perfect!

The Xbox Series X is an odd console to review. It’s certainly great in performance with support for 4K 120Hz HDR and improves performance of all games new and old, but as of now it lacks that “wow” factor that really makes it stand out compared to the older Xbox One X. I’ll admit I originally wanted the PS5 but settled for the Xbox due to lack of supply, but when I say that I mean it in terms of innovation, such as how the PS5’s new controller makes games more immersive with it’s dynamic triggers and rumble motors and a lineup of games both current and speculative based on the studios Sony has that just seem more fun. Looking back at Xbox’s history, there aren’t many unique games and franchises that I can think of; Halo, Gears of War, and Forza are the only major ones that I cared for, and even then those were all basically the same game. Fortunately it seems that Microsoft might actually care about delivering on exclusives this time around with its many studio acquisitions. Honestly the best thing about getting an Xbox over PS5 is Game Pass, which isn’t really saying much. While it’s great that players have access to a variety of games they can choose from the reality is that many of them are simply not interesting enough or are games you probably already played, especially if they were AAA games. Take for example the current lineup of AAA games, which includes Skyrim, Fallout 76, Gears of War, Forza, Doom Eternal, and now recently everything that EA Play already had in there like all the Battlefield games, Need for Speed, Star Wars Battlefront, and more: for a new player just starting out, this is an absolutely great value considering all the choices you have. However, for someone like me that generally buys these new releases for the sake of playing with my friends, many of the titles I listed are ones I’ve already played and don’t have interest in playing again. And while all of Microsoft’s new releases will be included with Game Pass, as of now and looking ahead a few months there isn’t anything coming soon. In conclusion, the Xbox Series X is a console that needs more time to really appreciate. It’s great for replaying older games for nostalgia or perhaps those that you missed, but if you’re looking for anything new aside from universal releases like from Activision, Ubisoft, EA, and Take Two you won’t find it here yet.

Xbox X is the best purchase I’ve made all year. The console is amazing and I was able to walk into the store and pic it up the same day I wanted it. I also got the Best Buy card and plan on using it for future purchases. The Xbox X is definitely fast and online play is so fun and competitive and the Xbox X doesn’t lag and is flawless in graphics. Also I can play games from the first Xbox and any other Xbox before the C series. This was great because I didn’t have to get rid of any older games and actually bought games I use to play from Xbox original.

This purchase has been one of my favorite gifts to myself. The experience In store was seamless and extremely helpful! The workers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Xbox has been a great addition to my family / friend dynamic.

I LOVE my Xbox Series X. It’s everything One X did but 10X better which is what you kinda of want for a generational upgrade. The OS is the same across all gens similar to iOS that in runs different on each phone but it’s recognized if you saw it. The games load faster, play better and I’ve encounter far less crashes. Quick resume is great for people who jump between games a lot but i tend to play 1 or 2 games before moving on. I mainly play 1 story driven game at a time and then maybe a sports game or smaller Indy title. So quick resume i don’t take advantage of a lot. The console is whisper quite and can set it all up via an app. Great console! Also i haven’t talked about the games cause well like the PS5 there really isn’t any truly made for next-gen yet but a lot of older games on last gen are getting upgrades to run better on these new consoles.

Great System. I just wish it was a bit smaller but is still smaller than the PS5. Graphics look amazing and the loading times are super fast. The quick resume feature is incredible. If you purchase this one you won’t regret it. Also right ow has a $50.00 discount if you are a BestBuy Plus or BestBuy Total member.

going to grab the white digital series X. series X is amazing. more mouse and keyboards work for series X than PS5. such as the red dragon k701 actuation keyboard which does not work on PS5. pair this with a Fast IPS Pixio 280hz monitor and you will see a difference trust

Very good quality and fast, I haven't had any problems and it does update when it is off if you have the settings for it corrrectly.

I’m a big Xbox fan and I love this purchase. This is going to be a centerpiece of my home entertainment system for years to come so I’m glad it’s future proof with 4k/8k and 60/120fps. Can’t wait for the new Halo to launch and show off these capabilities.

I’ve always had an Xbox and honestly this is the best one I’ve owned. I upgraded from a series S and the difference is profound in resolution textures and refresh rate. Form factor took some getting used to but it’s just different not wildly oversized like a ps5.

If your looking at a series x you likely already know just about everything about it so I will only say that it is as good as they say. I have had it little while now and put a lot of hours in with no major issues and lots of fun! The load screens are ridiculous and the performance is very consistent. Only issues I have had so far have been with the quick-resume feature. Mainly on online games which require server connection. Sometimes when I am opening a game on quick-resume like Hunt-Showdown, it gets frazzled trying to reconnect to the servers and it’s just faster to close the game and reopen it which takes all of about 45 seconds or less to get from closed to matchmaking. Build-quality is the most solid I have felt so far from any system. It feels like you could drop this system on the floor and it would crack your floor.

Absolutely incredible. I love the quick resume feature. The games I've played run amazingly smooth with great load times. Haven't had any issues whatsoever. I am completely amazed by this console. The new controller is very similar but a great improvement. It has a great weight and feel and the overall shape is very comfortable. Setting up the console has never been as easy, being able to do everything through my phone. I didn't think going from one x to series x would be such a large improvement but I am pleasantly surprised to find what I thought was another incremental improvement has completely reinvigorated my desire to play through my library. Doom eternal and sekiro have blown my mind running on this system not to mention the optimized titles like ori and valhalla. I dont see how anyone could regret upgrading to the new generation. Absolutely worth it.

This Xbox is great. The performance and graphics are good. My nefews love it.

Not sure I need to say much here. I got this with 2 years of Game Pass Ultimate. I can’t imagine how game consoles get better from here (even though they surely will). Glad I opted for the X instead of a PS5.

Bought this for my son and it works great. The old Xbox one was glitching and just turning off and restarting sometimes on its own. He wanted to try keyboard and mouse. It was easy to hook it up to the Xbox and works good as well.
