Easy set up, very fast processor, games load fast. I have this on 1080i tv not 4k so don't know how enhanced the graphics are. Haven't used the game pass much yet but im sure I'll enjoy that too.

Owning a ps5 I held off on getting a series x for awhile now. Got mine this weekend and I’m beyond impressed. Runs games I have on ps5 smoother. Also great seeing more games from steam making it onto the Microsoft store. I should have jumped on it sooner. Also dealing with Microsoft customer service is a breath of fresh air.

Well worth the upgrade over the Xbox one! the Xbox series x is fantastic, props to microsoft for making them more obtainable from retailers with all access instead of paying a scalper too.

Great console so far. It uses the same GUI as the old Xbox One X so you won't have any trouble jumping right in and using it. I haven't been able to play a true next-gen game on it yet, but as far as the Xbox One catalog, this thing makes them so much better. Faster load times (by far), better frame rates/smoother games. You immediately notice this especially during fast action scenes in multiplayer games. For example, comparing APEX on the One X to the Series X side by side, there is a tangible difference in video quality. You notice small details and effects on the Series X that would get dropped on the One X when the action gets too heavy. I can't wait until I get my hands on a true next-gen Series X game to see what this thing can truly do.

I’ve always had an Xbox and honestly this is the best one I’ve owned. I upgraded from a series S and the difference is profound in resolution textures and refresh rate. Form factor took some getting used to but it’s just different not wildly oversized like a ps5.

Powerful, but Doesn't Seem Complete to Me

To be fair, you already know what it is and what it can do. There's nothing to really say to people who would be buying this what they don't already know about it. Some positives I can mention is how easy it was to transition from the Xbox One to the Series consoles. The slightly updated interface that was also updated on Xbox One works and is very intuitive. The speed of loading games is what this console generation is pretty much built on and the Series S/X delivers. The insane SSD speeds is something that is a welcome change. Some people would find the proprietary Expansion Card a negative, but I find it's easier because it takes the guesswork out of figuring out what SSD to expand with. There are some downsides, however. With no exclusive games out at the moment (Halo Infinite delayed until 2021), it doesn't seem much more than a more powerful updated version of their previous console. I do appreciate the effort of making sure they are keeping up with the times as far as compute power is concerned. I just can't quite give it 5 stars in the launch stage of the console's life. Something seems incomplete to me. It's one of these things where you're better off waiting until next year to buy. The controller feels a little lighter than the previous controllers. Much better texture and is as comfortable in the hand as the previous one. The "share" button doesn't really matter to me, but it's a nice added feature. I didn't think I'd like the D-pad when I first saw it, but I love it a lot more now that I have used it. My only gripe (small one at that) is that it's a bit noisier that the old D-pad. Very clicky. Not really a deal breaker though. It's good to see that Microsoft for the most part basically said "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" about the Series controllers. My rating this isn't going to really sway people's decision from eventually getting it or not if they were on the fence before. But I thought at least some people would want to read a real world experience on it.

    Worth the cost

Excellent console and for the cost it's future proof. With capabilities of 8k enjoyment, once content is released you can not go wrong. Console is super quiet too a whisper. I was nervous about hearing the disc issues so I tried it out with modern warfare it was quiet much quieter than the one x. The speeds when loading and playing games are easily seen. The only con I can mention is that coming from the discontinued model one x the graphics the same looking at uhd 4k. Frame rate is no problem with the new console and the fact majority of games from original xbox to date and previous gen controllers are backwards compatible is a major win... thanks microsoft for the console and elite controller 2 and best buy for adding security to stop bots from purchasing the consoles.

    Excellent game console but...

I have owned every Xbox console since its inception, and the Series X is the pinnacle of gaming in terms of loading times and graphics and just overall speed. The big problem I have is that in order to play dedicated Series X games, they must be installed in internal storage and not an external drive. With such limited space on the intermal drive, you might be doing a lot of juggling with installations between internal and external storage. It you are able to handle that inconvenience, then this game console is superb in every other way.

I finally got my hands on this and boy was it worth the wait! Super easy to setup and get going. Great for those wanting to also play their 4K BluRay movies (like me) or those wanting to play their favorite XB1 or Xbox One X games on a better console. Only gripe I have is that with certain games, it may force you to install on the internal drive for better performance. This may not bother some with less than 10 games but for those of us that have 15 games or more, the space will be eaten up quickly. Definitely recommend a SSD with 2 TB or more to fully enjoy the system.

    New Generation Console

A powerful new generation console that is on par with the PS5. I believe that Microsoft has better deals when it comes to exclusive games and subscriptions. The controller's battery is absurdly long, lasting days without a charge. Between this and the S model, I recommend the X if you have a compatible television in terms of resolution and hardware.
