A Subtle but Significant Upgrade

Is the experience all that different from the Xbox One? Not as much as you'd think, but it becomes evidently clear, fairly quickly, that you are gaming with much more processing power. Load times are much faster, yes, but to really see what. you're getting, you ned to play a game that has been developed specifically for the X|S on both an Xbox One and an Xbox Series X. It wasn't until I played one of the enhanced games on my son's Xbox One that I realized how much of a visual spectacle I was experiencing on the Series X. The visuals are so much bolder, brighter, and butterier. If you can find one, if you can afford one, I highly recommend the upgrade.

I’ll tell you now there might be some glitches that happens with your games like randomly shutting off the console or lagging out (I’m talking to you Cold War) but I don’t blame the console itself for that. The games are not being prepaired properly for next Gen and I’m not gonna blame the box for it plus they’re already looking to fix those bugs. Only complaint is Xbox doesn’t have the most newest releases when this thing came out but with Xbox game pass I think it’s still a great purchase. (If you didn’t get one dont worry about it. Not a lot of games are released for it yet so take your time to upgrade you’re not missing out on a lot but overall great console!)

Excellent game console but...

The big problem I have is that in order to play dedicated Series X games, they must be installed in internal storage and not an external drive. With such limited space on the intermal drive, you might be doing a lot of juggling with installations between internal and external storage. It you are able to handle that inconvenience, then this game console is superb in every other way.

Runs quite hot, *don't block the fan!* Quick Resume is my favorite feature. Switch between apps and games super fast and seamlessly. Fantastic purchase. (Had to eat ramen for a few weeks to afford it though)
