Xbox Series X is using the RDNA 2 architecture from AMD. While they thought that the PS5 was using RDNA2, that does not seem to be the case according to a Sony engineer and game developers. Why would you choose an inferior product. Smaller size is nice also.

Initially, I wasn't a huge fan of the cuboid design, but really once it's set up next to all the other entertainment equipment, it just blends in. The graphics are amazing and game play is smooth and immersive. I also love that it is backwards compatible with so many old games.

Set up is easy and pair that with the Game Pass subscription you have basically unlimited entertainment

One X is a fantastic console. If you find availability for Series X go for it. Otherwise the one X is a good mid point in power. The series X is the future as we get new game to show off power. Cyberpunk runs well on Series X. Quick resume happens randomly not every title supports it.

There are some settings you'll have to change to get your monitor to 120FPS if the console doesn't recognize that your monitor supports it immediately. As a call of duty player, this made a huge difference comparing Xbox one, Xbox one X, and PC. Originally playing on PC at like ~90-100FPS I would not play Cold war on Xbox one. Going to the Xbox series X was way better than the One or even PC at 90-100FPS. PC does have way more settings to configure though in game than the Xbox. Overall, I believe Microsoft probably hit the target with the best game console for this one. Personally I'm going to save money and get the S since most of my gaming will be on PC.

She’s playing on a tv probably a 60hrtz refresh. Think she will definitely need atleast a 120hrtz rate. Only issues that there has been is with COD but no surprise there of course.

Auto-HDR and improved load times have been great in replaying classic favorites going back to the original Xbox. No issues playing any games in my catalog that were playable on the OneX. All Access sign up was quick and easy and the Gamepass Ultimate subscription was already tied to the console on setup!
