Best Console Yet!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Soooo amazing. So glad I went with the Series X instead of the S. My only complaint is that the internal storage is undersized for more than just a couple of enhanced titles (which you HAVE to install on the internal drive).

Xbox Series X-Wow!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been Gaming this since I got it, no hiccups discovered yet and the heat dispensed seems average to me considering the power it is generating. I am very impressed with its performance so far. Great Service from Best Buy, kept me updated on my order via email and text. Thanks guys!

Next generation a bit early
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This console really isn't put to test yet. There aren't any exclusives to show off the capabilities nor are 120hz TV's cheap enough yet for most people to experience the upgrades. 5 stars because it is the next gen console but wait for exclusive games or a price drop before buying.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fast system was shocked from my old system how fast it is, only used few months so things may change but as of now good! With how big games are now a days wouldn’t mind a bigger hard drive had to add an external one

A Fine Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, seems like a fine new system. My main gripes are with some smaller things that MS has seemed to cheap out on again - the controller does not include a rechargeable battery. Seriously, why are we still swapping out AA batteries without having to pay more for a recharge kit? Also, why did you not include WiFi 6 as part of the product? Gamers need all the bandwidth we can get and to not include the latest wifi in the next gen system (as Sony did) seems cheap once again. I'm having fun with the system, and it seems like an upgrade to my Xbox One X but certainly nothing that exciting or new.

Controller issues, slow DL’s, No MS phone support
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right off the bat, the controller wouldn’t connect during initial setup...had to attempt to pair continually. The Xbox button on the controller is also already sticking and gets sunken down at times, needing to be popped back up. Cheap, plasticky feel to the controller. Disappointing. Downloads from the Microsoft Store are extremely up and down, incredibly slow at times...dial-up slow. Shockingly poor... kbps speeds. You will also be met with all kinds of MS Store required update downloads when you first register your console, which slow down any Game Pass or game purchase download you have going even more. It’s a very slow process out of the gate, made worse by the sluggish downloads. And I have a pretty fast network connection. Even connecting via Ethernet did little to improve things. And worst of all, Microsoft support communication with an actual human is currently non-existent. All topics on the MS Support site say “Phone Support Unavailable ForThis Issue”. Xbox Support Twitter account never responded to any of my several messages either. Once you actually get a game going, the experience greatly improves. Really nice graphics and even old 360-era games look crisp and the action is fluid. Unfortunately, Microsoft puts roadblocks in your way to enjoying this console and if you have any technical issues at all, good luck trying to reach anyone in Support to help you. I gave up after awhile. Returning the console and will wait it out for awhile for future next-gen console purchases.

Great product, terrible Best Buy experience.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Xbox yesterday to take advantage of the Black Friday deal -- $50 off retail price, plus a $50 Best Buy gift card. I intended to use the $50 gift card to buy an Xbox game--an obvious use case that Best Buy apparently couldn't forsee. I get home, start setting up my new Xbox, and decide to go to the Best Buy store to buy a digital download code for the game I wanted. This is where the problems began. It's listed for $69.99. This strikes me as odd, considering the game is listed for $17.49 on the Xbox store. No worries, I think to myself. I can just use my Best Buy gift card to buy an Xbox gift card, which I'll then use to buy the game at the cheaper price on the Xbox store. Apparently, that's a big no-no. I try buying the Xbox gift card 3 times -- each time, instead of getting an email with my digital gift card, I get an "Order has been cancelled" notification. There is no explanation as to why it's been cancelled (which is why I tried 3 times; I thought it was just a glitch). So I call customer service. After 30 mins on the phone, they finally tell me the problem: gift cards can't be used to buy digital products, only physical ones. I explain the situation, but they won't budge. They tell me I have to go back to the physical store. Fine. I follow directions, only to discover problem #2. There is another very important (read: arbitrary) rule: gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards. So I wasted my time going to the store (as instructed by Best Buy support) for nothing. It's still fine, I think to myself. I can ask them to price match the game from the Xbox store, so at least I can get the game at a reasonable price. Nope! Welcome to problem #3: apparently, Best Buy doesn't price match during Black Friday sales through Nov. 25. That's understandable - they don't want to get ripped off by some other store offering a crazy deal. But the discount on my game ($17.49 instead of $69.99) is available for the next 8 days. Since today is Nov. 22, that means the sale will be good until the end of the month (Nov. 30). I point out to customer service that it's silly to make me wait until Nov. 25th to get the price match -- we all know Ithe $17.49 deal will still be available then, so why not just price match today? They keep telling me it's 'policy' - but their arbitrary rule makes zero sense. I keep pushing until they come back with problem #4: Microsoft is not a "qualified competitor" with Best Buy. This means that even if they make an exception and give me the price match today (which they still won't do for the previous reason), I still can't get the price match due to the "qualified competitor" issue. That's plainly absurd. They are selling a Microsoft product. They also sell a ton of games that EXCLUSIVELY work with that product, many of which are made by studios owned by Microsoft. But somehow, Microsoft doesn't count as a competitor. So, my options are: 1) Buy the game from Best Buy for $50 more than it's listed on Microsoft, 2) Buy the game from Microsoft and save the Best Buy gift card for something else (there is nothing else I want from them, though, so this option basically requires me to screw myself out of $50), or 3) return the entire freaking thing, gift card and all, and get the exact same deal from one of their competitors that is a bit more customer friendly. I'll be going with option 3. I hope you do too. This whole experience was beyond frustrating, which is unfortunate because I used to love Best Buy. I look forward to spending money with their competitors (whether they admit they're competitors or not) in the future. TLDR: Buy your Xbox somewhere else if you can.

Series X sets an eXample
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is awesome. The set up was one of the easiest set ups I’ve ever had. The SSD makes everything so much quicker. The Xbox UI is also impeccable. Definitely recommend.

Nice But No Optical and Bad Design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can I give it 4.5? I actually like the console quite a bit from a functionality POV. However, the design is HORRIBLE. It's simply too large to go where my other components are, so now it sticks out like an ugly thumb. Hey, on the flipside, it could resemble a router from the 22nd century like the competitor! And no optical input?! Are you kidding me? So now my $300 Astros just got nerfed to a $30 pair only AFTER I upgraded the firmware to get them to work. But, man, is it fast to boot up! I only wish Cold War wouldn't lock up every other night I play, but that's an Activision issue - not MS.
