We're sorry that you're experiencing an issue with your new Xbox Series X. If your Xbox Series X is overheating, we recommend making sure that it's placed in a well-ventilated spot with 4-6 inches of clearance around it and that its vents are unobstructed.
In addition, Activision Support has reported a known issue in which players are experiencing crashes while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in 4K on Xbox Series X. Within 10 minutes of turning on the controller does not work. It was continuously disconnecting and repairing rendering the Xbox useless for sometime. It finally got to the point where I now have no control over the Xbox. I try to repair the controllers and it lights up like it’s already paired. Tried pairing 3 Xbox one controllers and it just shuts the controller off after about 15-30 seconds of pairing. This was apparently a known issue for Xbox. I’m going to plug the Xbox one back in!
