I have now had each of the Xbox consoles to date and this feels like a leap forward. the speed of loads and operation, the quiet operation, and the upgraded 4k picture make this a leap forward. I only wish with the size of all the titles coming out, that the storage capacity was larger

Great console! Bought over the holidays to play with friends. The 1 TB is nice for people who prefer downloading games from the microsoft store. Would recommend getting an Elite Series 2 controller to pair with the console for those who play more competitively.

    I LOVE THIS MACHINE!

I've owned numerous Xbox and PlayStation consoles throughout the years, and this is without a doubt my favorite so far. I prefer it over my PlayStation 5. It offers several features, such as quick resume, 120fps running at all times for all games, and the controller is still the best available. Because I own more titles from the Xbox 360/Xbox One era, it was simple for me to transition to the Series X and continue gaming. I've always liked the idea of having an all-in-one console, so I use it to watch movies and stream TV. Seriously though, best console to date from Xbox!

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I switched from the one to the x and omg. Faster load times. Like I click a game and get right to it. There is even quick resume. Quality is amazing my games look so much better super happy with my purchase. However for the price I wouldve liked even more storage.

Great system, and I am sure the PS5 will be also.Hey Microsoft and Sony, how about making enough systems so EVERYONE can get one.The RESELLERS are making more profit than either of you on the systems you both built.Pathetic.

After months and months of research and watching reviews I was honestly hesitant because of I herd some people having issues with this Xbox. Well here’s what I can say about the series x. 1- I had no issues what’s so ever with the system. I did make sure the software was updated to the latest and made sure it was plugged in to the wall not an extension cord. That’s where I think people were having issues with it shutting off because of the system is really powerful. 2- the downloading speeds are amazing. My old Xbox one s took call of duty Cold War 3 hours to download. The series x took 1 hour to download. 3- the quick resume option is a great feature to have. 4- the blue ray player/4K player has incredible performance. After testing it out it looks like an expensive $499 Sony 4K player that how good I think it is the black scenes are what they should be. However I did have to change some of my picture settings on my tv to fully maximize the movies from the Xbox. The only think that I haven’t used yet was the 120hz gaming feature and the 8k because my tv doesn’t support it. In conclusion Microsoft did an amazing job on the system I have nothing but good to say about it. If you are worried about a faulty system don’t be just make sure you plug the Xbox directly in the wall not an extension cord and make sure it’s in the open for air flow as well.

The Best and Most Important Xbox Console Yet

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As a long time gamer and former owner of an Xbox series x and current owner of a Ps5 I have to say that this might just be the best console Microsoft has ever made. Imo it's also the better console for longterm reliability and for those who are concerned about owning your physical media instead of going all digital. I sold my xbox series x a few months ago due to a very busy schedule and lack of use and decided to go with my Ps5 exclusively for my gaming needs. Big mistake. I found out a few weeks later that my Ps5 which I had not used for a few months had a failed blueray drive. It still played digital games just fine but considering that most of my Ps5 games were on disc I was pretty upset. I had my Ps5 in a well ventilated area and took extremely good care of it. I then discovered from online forums and from talking with a repair shop that this was actually a common issue with those who had early versions of the Ps5 like mine. I ended up paying over $200 to fix it and it's working again but I couldn't help but notice that during the entire 1.5 years that I owned my series x it never had any blueray drive hiccups. And yes I do remember the red ring of death issues that Xbox consoles went through in the past. Microsoft has clearly learned from their hardware mistakes in the past. I also noticed that Sony recently discontinued the original Ps5 that I had and released a new Ps5 with a separate blueray drive add on that had software constraints giving them full control of the blueray drive. My series x never had any issues at all with its disc drive and it's still being sold with the blue ray drive built in. There has also been a recent shift toward digital formats for so much home entertainment that I feel we have forgotten how this takes away ownership of our products from us. From older movies and streaming platforms to music and now games we have allowed digital ownership to take over our lives and imo we have forgotten that when you have things in a digital format you oftentimes don't truly own that product. On several occasions over the past few years companies have decided to remove access or ownership to certain movies or games due to expiring licenses or some other reason. The most recent incident in my mind was when Sony was about to cut off access to digital purchases of discovery entertainment content a few months ago. After a huge outcry they changed their mind but I couldn't help but notice how Sony and even now Microsoft are starting to try and force consumers away from physical media. Apparently Microsoft may announce a new Xbox very soon (maybe even today!?) that will be all digital and then discontinue the current series x. I'm actually writing this review because I just repurchased a series x today. For one thing I saw the price just dropped to $399. I also know from experience this console might end up being the last great console that has a reliable disc drive that will let me play and own my physical media library. If so I would suggest to gamers and those who care about owning your games and movies to pick up a disc drive series x in the near future while you still can. If anything it will send a message to companies that consumers still care about owning their physical media as opposed to paying for a license to stream it.

Everything is great except for storage space. 1TB fills up very quickly when new games are as large as 150Gb plus. The fact you cannot play games from a standard external drive is a small bummer. Expansion cards are available but hey are quite spendy. Everything else about the system is great. Fast load times, excellent performance.

It is exactly what Xbox fans wanted

I remember when the Xbox One first came out and I was playing different sports games, everything looks so good, except for player's faces. They looked really similar to reality, but the eyes always were weird. Either to black or to white. Still didn't feel like reality. I now welcome you to the Xbox Series X, the console we ALL needed and wanted. Human faces look insanely realistic. No more dead-eyed looks in characters. When Im playing C.P.2077 and i start talking to someone, i put my controller down as if I'm watching a movie. The smooth movements on the display is unreal. And I'm only playing on 60fps 4K. This badboy can go 120fps on 8K. Quick Start is a gamers dream. I can turn my Xbox on from after day before, pick a game and BAM!. My game is playing from exactly where i stopped it in under 30 seconds. Seriously its that fast. (if your looking for an xbox series x, here's how i did it) -Make a Twitter account, don't personalize it since you'll delete it after you get an xbox. Follow all "xbox series X restock" pages you can. ALL of them. Check it 10 times a day, a XBox drop on every big retailer happens weekly. Good Luck and Happy Gaming Yah"ll

    Quality Gaming Console

I was lucky enough to have snagged an Xbox Series X within the first year, and I have been using mine pretty consistently since. It's quiet when in operation, the loading times for games is super-fast, and when the games are 4K, they can be gorgeous. I have had no problems with the 4K blu ray playback, and the streaming services I use work great. Atmos sound is great when available. Only issue I really have is how they handle the distribution of Xbox Series X game content. Just because you buy physical games doesn't mean it on the disc. Sometimes the game discs are just access keys. Overall, I have no real regrets purchasing this machine, and if you don't mind a mostly digital game library then this is a good quality console.

Finally got an Xbox Series X after months of waiting, and I've gotta say, it's been one hell of an experience. Right off the bat I noticed a significant improvement to loading, especially after coming from an original Xbox One. Games also look and run great. Some of the best I've seen, especially in this price bracket. 5/5 from me.

This is one beautiful console. It fits perfect in my stand. It runs virtually silent. Love it. The load times, graphically improvements, and I can tell, latency in moves while is excellent. It is absolutely great. Along with my library I have Gamepass and I have a play list that just don't stop. You cannot go wrong with this console.
