It is definitely a big upgrade from the Xbox one. The load times are so fast especially on games like Borderlands 3 or any other games that have slot of load screens. I think the only reason I give the Series X is that you have to get the 200 dollar 1 tb hard drive if you want more room for series x games because you can’t run series x games from another external drive.

Currently, if you want high budget, story driven, crafted games, go for PlayStation. If you choose games with a “let’s see what’s on tv today” mentality, get Xbox and gamepass. Gamepass and a series x is a fantastic deal. You can play every day for years and you will not run out of good games at any point.

Was happy to be able to get my hands on one for Christmas. So far it is working well with no problems. Highly recommend if you're ready to upgrade.

About a week after owning this, I was forced to do a factory reset. This was likely an early software bug as I have had no issues since then!

This beast not only plays the newest games with ease, but it is virtually silent when running. Compared to my One X, this console is silent and loads insanely fast

But things to know. This is HDMI only for audio and video. I have an older TV that does HDMI ARC and thankfully my stereo receiver supports the ARC function also. I mention older TV because it only supports 60 FPS on 4k. I think to get the most out of this console make sure your TV supports 120 FPS. For those with higher end audio Dolby Atmos is a option. It has 2 USB ports so it can support charging two controllers if you use the battery packs.

Of course there are a few glitches here and there in the games but that will take time to fix. I’m excited to see what games come out next.
