First Console to Ever Feel Truly Next Generation
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought the Xbox 360, Xbox one, PS4 and PS4 Pro at launch. I have kind of just gotten used to buying a new console at launch. While this one was tricky to acquire, i will say one thing. This is the first console i have every bought that felt truly next generation! The SSD drastically improves load screens (longest load screen on Diablo 3 was about 2 seconds) and call of duty warzone now allows me to participate in the pregame warm ups with roughly 57 seconds. The xbox one and PS4 pro gave me around 15-20 seconds usually. It is super quiet, and the UI is unchanged so its super familiar. Even games that arent optimized for this console play incredibly well. Warzone runs on average of around 110-114 frames per second (i usually play aggressively so there is a bunch of action on the screen at any one time) Diablo 3 is limited to 60 fps from the developer (Blizzard Entertainment) but it still performs incredibly well. Cyberpunk 2077 (despite the harsh criticism) performs really well too. Load screens are only a few seconds long, the visuals are beautiful, and the new controller truly does cut down on input delay (high fps helps too). I hooked up my xbox one and my series x side by side. I tested the delay with reloading the same exact gun at the same exact time. The series x was noticeably faster (even though its in milliseconds, if you look hard enough you will see it). It stays incredibly cool. It does get warm (As all hardware does) but it stays within acceptable temperatures. Optimal temperature really. Overall, having played my buddies PS5 and having played the Series X, i must admit, i prefer the series x. The PS5 wont play games in 120 fps unless they have been ported over to new gen, where as the series x is getting an update here soon that will make almost every game run at higher frame rates without the game developer issuing a patch (Crucial for me as i love going back and playing old titles). Pros: Fast load times Stays quiet Stays cool Faster FPS Improved controller connection to allow less input delay (Crucial for competitive gamers) Backwards compatible with almost every single game (excluding kinect games) The new controller is even more comfortable than the XB1 controller with its new Dpad, new grip, rounded triggers and bumpers. Cons: The only really approved external storage are some proprietary SSD cards that seagate makes. Who knows when other 3rd party manufacturers will get involved. I would recommend this to everyone.

Worth the upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're on an XBox One this is certainly with the upgrade. You won't see much changed or different with the Xbox interface but the performance is incredible. Games load super fast and sometimes instantaneous with quick resume. Frame rates and image quality are improved over the Xbox One depending on the title. I play a lot of Warzone and I find that I am usually loaded into the game quicker than even some of the quickest PC players I play with and the graphics details have improved as well as the frame rate. It's not a PC but it's darn close at least in Call of Duty. It definitely competes with lower-end PC builds for sure. The system does run hot but as long as you keep it properly ventilated it won't cause you any issues. If you have an enclosed media cabinet you can orient this on the side but it's advisable to keep the cabinet door open while playing and make sure there's enough room on the top and bottom to allow adequate airflow. You're not going to have any fire hazards as the machine is built to shutdown if it overheats (and I've yet to have that happen to me). But if you aren't allowing proper airflow I cannot attest to your experience there. I don't use the included controller because I have an Microsoft Xbox Elite 2 controller and it works like a charm with this and even takes your settings over from an old Xbox without you having to reconfigure anything. I have held the new controller and it's slightly improved over the Xbox One Controller but nothing vastly different. I'd say it's like a baby version of the Elite 2 controller, no changing thumbsticks or D pad and it doesn't have any paddles that can be mapped on the bottom, but the they do have a better D-pad than the Xbox One default controllers. I have heard some reviewers talk about Xbox vs PS5 and I say go with the console that has all the games you want to play. Xbox Ultimate Game pass offers a great way to access a large library of games as a service. I don't think you get the same thing on the Sony PlayStation Now service, but you also can't play Spider-man Miles Morales on an Xbox (if that even matters to you). If you're gaming on a smaller game monitor or want a PC-lite experience Xbox Series X is the way to go. It supports a variety of PC monitor resolutions like 1440 Enchanced HD and 4K output. Highly recommend this console or an upgrade to this console if you can get your hands on one.

Xbox OG User Opinion
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long time Xbox owner. Although I preferred the more sleek design of the previous console; the issues I have with this design are negligent in comparison to the pros. This system brings what the other could not. For example many games that once had a long loading screen (looking at you Borderlands 3) now take seconds if that to boot up. The crispness in graphics is very apparent on par with things I've seen via PC users. If you play Call of Duty games or lobbied multiplayer stye games I've ran into no issues with lag or load speeds nor overheating concerns many had about the console. I got this particular console for the fact that I do BOTH digital and hardcopy games and this was a deal breaker for me that was necessary. I would have preferred more spaces, but nothing an external drive can't fix. Overall would definitely recommend and pleased with my purchase they just need to become easier to obtain it has been available for a while it should not have taken as much work for me to obtain one still.

MY HONEST OPINION/ REVIEW... HERE GOES...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this console since the 28th of November. Hands down worth it. Graphics, load time, game play, even then the subtle changes to the controller make this purchase rewarding. The design is very simple and compliments or blends in with your entertainment station. There isn't an exclsusive game YET for the new xbox series X but obvioulsy there will be one soon. (didnt plan on buying Miles Morales w/PS5). So opting to secure the Xbox Series X was a no brainer. Game Pass on the new console is amazing. You get a whole heap of games to play. The menu has subtle changes from the previous generation but looks and feels more fluid and you can also put your menu tabs in different order. You really notice your on next generation when you start playing your games, this beast also features quick resume so you can jump back into your other games flawlessly within seconds. Major game titles will probably going to be cross platform game play, so it really comes down to preference on which system you want to own. Do not down play this system. Ive owned every Ps and Xbox console up to date and always purchased the Ps second. If your mad the controllers didnt change get the Xbox Elite 2 Contoller. Pricey but worth it. Microsoft/Xbox is not going to give us a controller with the new console thats better than the Xbox Elite 2 that they sale for $180. They should of just made the Elite 2 standard for the Xbox series X and they could of introduced the Xbox Elite 3 at some point in the future. With that being said you still get a lot for your money and more than Ps5. A gaming Pc with these Specs would cost well into the thousands of dollars. Moral of the review get the new Xbox Series X. Dont miss out on your chance to grab one beacause your social media heroes who've never posted about gaming say get a Ps5. Happy Holidays. Shot.By.Collenz on IG/ YouTube

Better design than the PS5 and just as powerful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've officially crossed enemy lines. I, a lifelong PlayStation loyalist, have succumbed to the siren song of the Xbox Series X. And honestly? I'm... impressed. (Don't tell my PS5.) Let's get the obvious out of the way: this thing is a beast. Visually, it's a sleek, minimalist monolith. It's like a tiny, powerful fridge for your gaming needs. My PS5, bless its curvy, futuristic heart, looks like a Wi-Fi router designed by a space alien. The Series X? It's all business. Performance-wise, it's a knockout. Games load lightning-fast, the graphics are crisp, and the frame rates are smoother than a jazz saxophonist on a Sunday morning. The quick resume feature? Game changer. Jumping between titles without waiting for loading screens is pure, unadulterated bliss. It's like having a gaming teleporter. Now, let's talk about Game Pass. This is where the Xbox really shines. It's like Netflix for games, but without the awkward password sharing with your cousin. The sheer volume of titles available is staggering. I've rediscovered old favorites, stumbled upon hidden gems, and even dabbled in genres I wouldn't normally touch. It's like a gaming buffet, and I'm going back for seconds... and thirds. The controller? It's... comfortable. It's not as flashy as the DualSense, but it's ergonomic and responsive. The asymmetrical stick placement? It took some getting used to, but now I'm wondering why every controller isn't designed this way. It's like discovering a new, more comfortable way to hold a spoon. Of course, no console is perfect. The UI can be a bit clunky at times, and I do miss the haptic feedback of the DualSense. And let's be honest, the lack of certain PlayStation exclusives stings a little. But overall, the Xbox Series X is a formidable machine. As a PlayStation convert, I can confidently say that the Xbox Series X is a worthy contender. It's powerful, it's versatile, and Game Pass is a game-changer. If you're looking for a next-gen console that delivers on its promises, the Xbox Series X is a solid choice. Just don't tell my PS5 I said that. It's already feeling a little neglected.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return to Bestbuy because it stopped working after 3 days. I did not choose to get it repaired because It was not worth paying all that money for a faulty Xbox. I brought another one from another store and I did nit have any problems at all.

BEST one yet.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm super shocked I even got one. Best Buy had (what seemed) to be a fantastic way to thwart off most bots. Now on to the Hardware. I am very aware about the PS vs Xbox console war going on, and don't get me wrong, I would have settled with either this year. However, I am secretly blessed I got the Series X. I switched over to Xbox about 10 years and have not looked back yet, until almost this year, but the gaming gods brought this back in my house again. I am so pleased with the way this thing runs. 1st, and most impressive, is how quiet it is. Mine does sit on its side in a cabinet TV stand and my last one would spin up when it gets a little warmer in there, but this guy does not make a sound. I love it. Now of course, the performance. We all have seen the what this baby is packed it, and oh boy, it does not disappoint. AT ALL. The load times are almost magical. I still love how I can shut off the machine, and log back in (even a week later) and it jumps right into my game, literally right where I left it. My character is still chilling in the same spot waiting for me to continue, like I never even left. I know the games are still catching up to the technology, but I'm glad I'm ready for what it does. With that being said, the games that are supported for this series, are absolutely B-E-A-utiful. Microsoft really have outdone themselves this time with the design, hardware, and price point. I love it. Ill continue to ride this train!

Tiny, quiet, cool.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is quiet. Small, fast & reliable. East to use, turn on & quick resume into Valhalla in less than 5 seconds from standby. Fast travel in less than 7 seconds. Gamepass with hundreds of smash hits & AAA titles. This box brings the next gen speed, the next gen performance & next gen form factor. It needs a controller like the PS5 to complete the package.

Best Xbox Console Ever - Incredible Gaming Speed
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited for the Xbox Series X for a long time, but it has somehow managed to exceed my expectations. The overall speed of the system is incredible: comes up from fast boot in 1 second basically, UI is very fast now and able to what I need easily and Quick Resume is incredible (can bring up AC: Valhalla to my exact stopping point in about 6 seconds). Playing games at 60 FPS such as AC: Valahalla is really great, and the 120 FPS on games such as Gears 5 multiplayer, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Dirt 5 is amazing too. The controller managed to really surprise me, as they somehow took the best feeling controller out there and perfected it. The input latency on the controller has definitely been improved, as everything that I have played just feels more responsive and smooth when controlling. The Xbox backwards compatibility is unmatched too, and it is awesome to see games like Sekiro be able to play at pretty much locked 60 FPS now. And of course the 'Auto HDR' feature is cool for games that never supported HDR such as OG Xbox Fusion Frenzy on Game Pass that looks great. Finally, this console enables the real star of the show in Xbox Game Pass to shine because the countless games that keep coming look and play so awesome on here.
