The main reason for the purchase of this model is the disc drive. Digital ownership of games is sketchy at best. Sony has just demonstrated how easily ownership is just renting without physical ownership. I love the backwards compatibility of this unit. I don’t like the limited storage capacity. One TB is nothing at all with the size of modern games. I had to purchase, at considerable cost, an SD card. Having said that, if ownership of your games is important to you, this product should meet your expectations

Everything I expected. Much faster than the Xbox One X. Superior graphics and good sound. Only downside is the 1TB SSD size. Did discover that my external HD cannot play those X/S optimized games unless it is locally on the device or on an expansion card. Beyond that happy with the upgrade.

This system is amazingly fast, it plays xbox series x games amazingly with its graphics and load times honestly i am amazed at how fast it loads. I used to be able to go do other things quick while playing assassins creed or like a dragon while it loaded but with the new xbox i honesty don't have anytime to do anything with the loading time being fast(which is a good thing). Graphics look amazing if you own a 4k tv. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because graphics still kinda look like xbox one only a little bit better and you can tell just not from the jump of xbox 360 to xbox one standards. Also the home UI is exactly the same as the xbox one, I get it people are familiar with the interface but also give me something a little new, something fresh thats says "hey im new look at me". Also i was kinda bummed out that they got rid of the one guide i loved the fact that i can switch between tv and my games in the console, it was the greatest thing about the xbox one. Still love my series X and how great it looks and performs.

Its much better than the PS3 I had. I also have a relatively new tv which helps, although not capable of 120hz it still looks amazing. One note - for any next gen game system you buy - even the previous gen - you need very good internet. Not DSL. The updates and game downloads are large and can take hours if you don't have a fast (greater than 100mb) connection. I'm not a patient person so this is my only gripe. Otherwise, its a great console. Hope it lasts as long as my PS3.

I’ve been out of gaming for about 7 years! But I’m super impressed with the Xbox! It’s fast, looks great, feels great! I mostly play CFB25 with it but am looking to start playing different stuff as I ease back into the world of gaming

Great speed and tremendous graphics with nice redesign of the box. No glitching. The images are so good they hurt your eyes!

If you are sitting in the review section wishing for the new Xbox to finally say ‘back in stock’... I feel. It was a very long process to acquire this console, yet so very worth it. I am very impressed with the quality and performance when playing multiplayer games. The graphics look amazing as well. THE only problem that I have had is the controller connection issue. Typically you can solve this by using a USB cord and connecting the controller to the console to update or configure.

I have an xbox, ps5 and switch 2 and out of the consoles this one runs games the best and just feels better. From game graphics to better quick start and a better less annoying hub i prefer to use this as my main game console. However the price increase from Microsoft is some Bullish, its hard for me to tell people get this over ps5 or switch with a worse price point and not as great exclusives. The one other it had going for it was gamepass and they messed that up with prices too :/

Microsoft came to play this gen. This system is a beast. So many improvements from the xbox one. The speed of loading, image enhancements, and the new controller is amazing feeling. The single greatest thing Xbox is doing right now that Sony is neglecting heavily is backwards compatibility. With Xbox they are making almost all games dating back from very first Xbox back compatible and this Series X makes the games look and run almost as if they were brand new games made today.

I big upgrade from Xboxone. I can tell the differences in speed, graphics, and performance. Highly recommend for gamers.

They box of the series X you amazing it’s crazy to think about it when it’s just a box. But when opening up the console it just screams Xbox, been a big fan of Microsoft since I can remember. The Xbox series X performance absolutely incredible starts up quick. Loads gaming vecery quickly as well.

While theres not many exclusives or new generation games around for this system to flex its muscles at the moment, I'm still happy with the purchase. The load times, (or lack of) are excellent; the system goes from being powered off, to completely on with a game playing in maybe 10-20 seconds. The system itself is very quiet, and not nearly as large as I had pictured in my head. Every game I've played runs smoother and looks better compared to my OG Xbox One.

First console in our home, was purchased for our kid. Well - it's great! Graphics are awesome, games run smoothly, has tons of cool features (like remote play, game streaming, etc). It's been fun playing with my kid. I'm glad i went for the X and not S as it has way more storage. The cost of storage upgrade is the same as the price difference between the two. Has nifty MS phone apps for managing kid's time and activity on it too.

This console screams! Older games look better! Everything loads faster and newer games like Valhalla are amazing visually. Quick resume is a great feature. Add on Gamepass and you have a great catalog to start with. Even though I am a Playstation owner as well, it has done nothing but collect dust on my shelf as Microsoft has really pushed a customer-first strategy where Sony seems to be stuck in trying to squeeze their customers for extra money at every opportunity.
