Right now, it's still missing features that were present in the previous generation. When those features are added/fixed the console will be great. The graphical upgrades are amazing and the full library of backwards compatible games and apps is awesome.

Then why doesn’t it run my 3rd party games as smoothly as PS5? A nice step forward, and the Gamepass combined with a potential Bethesda exclusive run makes the XBsX a nice buy, but in the first month since release PS5 is getting more use. Curious to see what happens in the coming years.

It's configured a bit differently between Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. If this is the only issue I run into, then that's AWESOME! Setting things up was easy, but I didn't follow any game/app migration, so I just re-installed everything I wanted. That was fine by me. The games and apps look and feel great. They look and feel like I would expect in a next gen console, great! Lastly, I think one of the best things that have changed between my Xbox One X and the Xbox Series X is that the new console reacts more quickly when making selections in, games, apps, Microsoft Store...I think one of my biggest complaints about the Xbox One X was that the navigation was really slow and awkward a lot of times...but that seems to have changed with the Series X.
