Some bugs to work out but is an excellent upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it, there are some problems here and there (currently a month after launch) like quick resume not working in all places but im sure it'll be fixed. Loading times are extremely fast, boot times are as fast as consoles in the old days, quick resume works even with the console unplugged and some of the optimized games look incredible vs previous gen versions. It definitely has less bugs in newer games vs older consoles. For example I've experienced no issues in cyberpunk as of its release 2 days ago. No frame rate troubles and the graphics crisp, only problems were the usual weird npc physics anomalies of open world games.

So far so good.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only been playing for a few days so far, but the games look beautiful, a huge leap from my Xbox One. Loads are super fast if not non-existent. It takes less than 30 seconds from turning the system on to playing, which is really nice. So far the 1Tb storage is holding the games that I want to currently play from Game Pass. This was a concern of mine, that the HDD wouldn't be enough, but I'm pleasantly surprise with how many games I can get in there. Easy process to set up the new system, when you already have an Xbox account ready to go.

It is a great gen
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great generation to be a gamer. Whichever current gen console you pick, you will be in for a world of spectacular gaming experience and premium entertainment. It seems to me that the advantage the series X has with its raw compute power, the PS5 makes up for with its revolutionary custom SSD. It all came down to which console gives me the most value. And I chose Series X for the following reasons: Game Pass: The huge library of games available with this subscription is enough to keep most players busy till true current gen games for the Xbox begin to surface. There are some titles in there that are worth playing if you missed them in the last gen - like Nier: Automata which I am currently playing. Backwards compatibility – Extended to games that date back to the first Xbox console. I hear some creative people are even extending this feature to PS2 games. Quick Resume – Awesome feature. Very good for those moments when life interrupts your gaming at points in a game where it cannot be saved. Spatial Sound: Dolby Atmos that works not only for games and disc movies, but in streaming apps like Disney+ as well. Also, I appreciate that this feature was not restricted to headphones, as I was able to use my existing home theatre setup to listen to the rich Atmos sound mixing in Forza Horizon 4. VRR: I do not have variable refresh rate display now. Still good to know I have a console that will support the feature when I eventually get one. Down the road I may pick up the PS5 for their exclusives, and control pad experience.

Leveling Up: My Xbox Series X Experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded from a Gears of War edition Xbox One S to an Xbox Series X, and the difference is remarkable. The transition to the Series X was a long-awaited Christmas gift, and it's been an incredible journey. The integration with my 4k TV has taken my gaming experience to a whole new level, offering stunning visuals and an immersive experience. One of the highlights of the Series X is its performance. The console runs smoothly, and the loading times are significantly reduced, making gaming more enjoyable and less interrupted. Pairs great with my Elite Controller Series 2. I also invested in the 2TB expansion card, which was a great decision. It provides ample storage space, allowing me to keep all my favorite games readily accessible. However, the cost of the expansion card is a point of contention. While it's a valuable addition, I do wish there were more affordable options available. Overall, the Xbox Series X has lived up to my expectations and then some. It's a significant upgrade from the Xbox One S, and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. For anyone considering making the jump, it's definitely worth it, especially if you have a 4k TV to pair it with. Just be prepared for the additional cost if you're planning to expand the storage.

DON’T BUY FROM A SCALPER!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the fast loading times and all my games look great. Audio is also improved. New controller is great too. Definitely worth the upgrade from last gen. DO NOT BUY FROM A SCALPER. Just wait till it comes back stock. Not worth paying the premium In my opinion. I know it might be on the top of little Timmys Christmas list but trust me it will be better for everyone if you don't pay resale. And you might be scammed in the end . Best buy curbside was easy and less stressful than ordering online. You risk losing or damaging during shipping. Bought one for my coworker from Target and it came damaged and late.

XBox Series X Bar None (The Best)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s the best ever, and I’m a veteran gamer. It’s about all I can do these days ( officer veteran and retired sheriff ). I served most of my life protecting people and I loved doing it. I’ve had over 20 surgeries and I’m 47, I still hope to have another 47 or more to game. I love Microsoft, Xbox, etc. I paired mine with the exclusive Seagate Expansion Card. I can build computers, this series is just amazing, the best, I can’t wait for an exclusive console like a Diablo 4 one?!!! Microsoft, please get ahold of me, I’d be willing to test your games, products, consoles, etc. I’ve been gaming since the 70s!

Xbox Series X Review: Powerhouse Performance Redef
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Introduction: The gaming world has been abuzz with excitement ever since Microsoft unveiled its next-gen console, the Xbox Series X. With promises of unparalleled power, speed, and gaming experiences, the Series X aims to redefine what gamers can expect from a console. After spending some quality time with this beast, here's my comprehensive review of the Xbox Series X. Design: Let's start with the aesthetics. The Xbox Series X sports a sleek and minimalist design that screams sophistication. Its monolithic tower-like structure exudes a sense of power, making it a statement piece in any gaming setup. The matte black finish adds a touch of elegance, while the green accents pay homage to Xbox's iconic branding. Despite its robust build, the console manages to remain surprisingly compact, fitting seamlessly into various entertainment centers. Performance: Under the hood, the Xbox Series X is an absolute powerhouse. Equipped with a custom AMD Zen 2 processor and RDNA 2 graphics architecture, along with a blazing-fast SSD, this console delivers unparalleled performance. Games load in a blink of an eye, thanks to the Quick Resume feature, which allows you to seamlessly switch between multiple titles without any lag or load times. Whether you're exploring vast open worlds or engaging in intense multiplayer battles, the Series X ensures buttery-smooth gameplay with stunning visuals and impeccable frame rates. With support for up to 8K resolution and 120 frames per second, it's truly a feast for the eyes. Controller: Accompanying the Xbox Series X is the new and improved Xbox Wireless Controller. While it retains the familiar layout and ergonomic design of its predecessor, it comes with a few notable enhancements. The textured grips offer better comfort and control during extended gaming sessions, while the redesigned D-pad provides more precise inputs. Additionally, the inclusion of a dedicated Share button makes capturing and sharing epic gaming moments a breeze. Overall, the Xbox Wireless Controller is a perfect companion to the Series X, delivering an immersive gaming experience with its responsive controls and low-latency connectivity. Backward Compatibility: One of the most impressive aspects of the Xbox Series X is its backward compatibility. Not only does it support thousands of Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox games, but it also enhances them with improved performance and visuals. With features like Auto HDR and FPS Boost, older titles look and play better than ever before, breathing new life into classic favorites. Whether you're revisiting nostalgic classics or discovering hidden gems from the past, the Series X ensures a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience across generations. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Xbox Series X is a true marvel of engineering and innovation. With its unrivaled performance, stunning visuals, and extensive backward compatibility, it sets a new standard for console gaming. Whether you're a hardcore gamer craving the ultimate gaming experience or a casual player looking to escape into fantastical worlds, the Series X has something for everyone. While it comes with a premium price tag, the sheer power and versatility it offers make it worth every penny. So, if you're in the market for a next-gen console that delivers on its promises and then some, look no further than the Xbox Series X. It's not just a console; it's a gateway to limitless gaming possibilities.

Solid console, very powerful, no issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the One X before this and despite that console also being 4K capable, the Series X blows it out of the water. The graphics are noticeably better, and the load times are incredibly fast. It is relatively quiet as well. Transferring to the new console could not have been any easier, and all my games from the last console were waiting to be downloaded in upgraded versions, which was pretty great. If I had one nitpicking complaint it’d be the aesthetic design-the thing looks horrible in my media stand-but that doesn’t bother me particularly.

Get it on sale if possible, coming from a pc user this thing is a great bang for your buck, paying for online play does stink but you get access to free games. A Powerhouse Console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another hit by Microsoft. The latest Next-Gen Xbox console is a beast of a powerhouse. To get the full benefit of this wonderful machine, plug it into a 4k or UHD TV. Mine is in a 65" Samsung. Graphics are incredible. Boot up speed in lightening fast. It is bigger than the Xbox 1 and Xbox 1x. Boy not too big I did sit mine horizontal instead of vertical. Less chance of it getting knocked over. Plus, it fits better where I wanted it to go. But it can go either way as there are plenty of vents to cool of the console.

Just do it you know you want it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be 100%. I upgraded if you would say from an Xbox One X. From last gen to this gen I was say I'm the most disappointed because I feel like I got nothing except for a faster machine with better graphics but don't get me wrong I love the performance and graphics now I can take full advantage of my way too expensive TV. But going from playing call of duty vengeance on the One X and now on the series X the only difference is speed performance and graphics which is what it was meant for. I'm in my late 40s I've been an Xbox fan since the Xbox I even had the internet adapter and all of that that did absolutely nothing but I had to have it. I stood in line for 14 hours to buy the Xbox 360 in 05' And I proceeded to buy Three of them. I've proceeded to purchase every generation after that. Previously in the prior generation releases it was a totally different console and different game that did not play on the previous generation console. So what I'm saying is that it's just an upgraded console and the games are optimized for the new console I understand the games are now going to be produced and the standard format for the new console which makes common sense. But don't get me wrong I did purchase it and I do love it and I do use it every single day and I'm using it right now watching YouTube. It allows me to utilize my way too expensive TV and all of the great picture quality graphics I'm old give me a break. Lol I love it. I'm just a tad disappointed that it wasn't the same kind of totally different console it was just like a upgraded console that can now play games of with better graphics and performance. That's all I'm done. I don't even know why you read this you know you want one you just can't get one I was lucky. Keep trying I was addicted I looked everyday probably 10 times a day reading articles that had updated availabilities if you want it you'll put in the time and the effort and you'll get one. And do not buy one off of eBay for any market because you can get one no matter a fact after I got mine from Best buy I got an offer from GameStop I had to turn down. Keep trying Good luck. A.k.a. The Best Xbox Yet, held back by the series S
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for the best Xbox experience with both normal games and games with the highest graphical fidelity and have a 4k hdr TV this is the console to pick if you can. If your using a 1080p TV the Series S is a great option. The only potential criticism of this console has nothing to do with the Series X its self rather its due to microsoft releasing two separate Xbox consoles at the same time with different specs, this leads many developers to develop their game to Series S specs as opposed to taking advantage of all the Series X power and capability. The result is there are many games who don't truly take advantage of the Series X specs. This issue really started last generation where the xbox released the Xbox One X which had similar issues in that if a game was optimized for it, it was amazing but most games were not. On the playstation side game devs only have to develop to one spec the ps5 which makes it easier for them to optimize for that hardware. Of course this is not a a ps5 review. Overall I am very pleased with the Series X it is a solid console with a great controller and more storage than the series S although I never had storage issues with the series S as long as you have an available internet connection. In the future I would like to see Xbox drop the two console spec approach but really I can't complain. The Series X is simply the best xbox ever created.

Best next gen console.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best console. Next gen graphics, expandable storage, game pass, quick resume. The Microsoft ecosystem is the best in gaming and only getting better. Took one star off because there really is no reason to upgrade to next gen yet, but if you can afford it it’s a must buy. In a year from now when more next gen games are available it will be a 5 start experience.

9.5/10 Amazing console. It puts out A LOT of heat!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: worth the money, will likely run future games great and look great for the next 6 years, SSD is wicked fast but is also small and needs more memory, puts out A LOT of heat. Fantastic console. Big heads up... IT PUTS OUT A LOT OF HEAT! Pros: •Super fast and powerful gaming system, •Super quiet even when running games at 4K 60fps, •Same operating system as the Xbox One line so everything is backwards compatible, •Memory is a SSD so load times are extremely fast for most games (for reference: Skyrim load times are so short I can’t finish reading a single sentence on the loading screens). •ray tracing is amazing and makes a world of difference. •FPS is usually locked at what you want it to be in most scenarios so I don’t really notice frame rate drops that often. •performance rivals gaming computers (desktops) in the $1200 range. •will likely be able to have no problems running the next 5-8 years of advancements in gaming and graphics while still looking amazing which is the main reason I dropped the $500. •upgraded WiFi card in the console so download speeds aren’t capped at 80mbps anymore (I downloaded a 16gb update in 8 minutes at 230mbps when I pay for a 300mbps plan and my roommate is playing his Xbox at the same time.) CONS: •puts out A LOT of heat... like similar to a space heater (do not even think about putting the console in an entertainment system or shelf unless you cut holes in the back where the intakes are and give the exhaust at least 8” of clearance and angled so the exhaust is pointed a little away (like 10-15 degrees) from the shelf. Not a problem if it is standing upright on top of something with nothing above it or blocking the vents.) •it uses the old operating system so it doesn’t feel new unless you use the dynamic moving backgrounds for the Home Screen. •a lot of games are still not optimized/don’t take full advantage of the new hardware and technology so quick resume, high frame rates, and 4K are not available on a lot of games (but that’s an issue with Microsoft and the other games, not with the console). •it has a 1 terabyte SSD which isn’t a lot of space for modern day and future games, so either buckle down and buy the 1tb SSD expansion card for $200 or use a cheaper hard drive but forfeit the amazing loading times and other features. (A terabyte is about 1000 gigabytes, and after the operating system you only have ~840gb free. New games are usually around 50-110 gigabytes and they’re just going to get larger). •distracts me from studying and is making it hard to finish my Pre-med degree with a good gpa lol

Accessible Gaming at Its Finest!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My career path has evolved to the point where I want to do as little "IT" management at home as possible. Coming over from the PC crowd I had my reservations about what this little black box could accomplish having grown accustomed to flagship products on the other side. Against all odds, I've found the gaming experience to exceed my expectations. Graphical fidelity, fluid gameplay and ease-of-use make the Xbox Series X a must have for every gamer no matter their title.
